I haven’t been able to log onto tumblr for awhile, but here I am :D

Loom knitting cheat knitting?

Ive seen a lot of posts about this. Some people say its exactly the same thing and some say people who use looms are cheat knitting. I dont really agree that its cheat knitting in the sense that the product is worse. However, as someone who learned to use needles first, the fact that learning to needle knit is so much harder than learning to loom knit makes me think its the cheat way to get the same product. More in like a “ha ha fml needle knitting was so hard” kinda way Than a “your loom made product sucks”

Im all for loom knitting. Needle knitting for the bragging rights just kinda hurts my hands and takes forever.

It’s not necessarily easier though. There are some extremely intricate patterns for loom knitting. It’s not all large gauge plastic hoops that you get at Michael’s to make hats. It’s a different craft entirely, and not at all cheating :) I respect and appreciate anyone who creates beautiful crafts and artwork, regardless of their medium.

These new looms from Knitting Board are amazing. They arrived a few days ago, and I’m working on a drawstring bag just to try them out. They are lightweight and sturdy, and the pegs do not come out.
