Oh and free the nipple. If I were a man dressed like this I would be extravagant, probably too "feminine". If I were a man with less "extravagant clothes" and with a bare chest I would be normal. As a woman, I am obscene or provocative. These are random rules, it doesn't make sense, and I won't accept it :)

Subkultfestivalen. Need I say more?
There was a bigger and very beautiful art exhibition this year (!!!), it was warm as hell and my Italian heart was very happy (and very sweaty).
New and old favourites:
- the mango cream. There was a food stand selling among other things this cold mango, coconut and yoghurt cream which was the food of the gods
- Aesthetic Perfection. Finally I heard "Summer Goth" live. Summer goths, we attack tomorrow.
- Thermostatic, amazing, amazing synth pop. One of the most heartfelt 🥹💙
- Henric de la Cour
- Melody Club, a Swedish band very well known in Scandinavia, for me a big revelation. Awesome glam rock, I'm a new fan
- Dödsdisko, for the music and all the madness. You had to be there to understand
- Ladytron. I find their compositions don't always follow the clichés of more recent synthpop (with all the love I have for synthpop), and they're just plain weird at times and I love it.

Quando una si mette a fare il video naturalmente non vengono le parole.
Oh e se volete un libro che invece ho scritto avendo già l'esperienza di altri due libri alle spalle, che avevo poi scartato perché non erano all'altezza, si chiama Stessa Spiaggia Stesso Mare. Il libro che finalmente mi ha soddisfatta.
(Ha soddisfatto anche diversi lettori a giudicare dalle recensioni 💙)

- There's a young couple not far off from where I settle down. The young woman, upon seeing my boobs jiggling in the wind, goes VOILÀ and off comes the bra. High five. 10 points.
- I come out of the lake, dripping water and sunscreen, booby and hairy and stocky, and I suddenly find myself face to face with an old woman who's going for a walk. And she smiles broadly.

(I don't know whether she was smiling at me of course. Maybe she was smiling at the trees, or the water. Maybe she was thinking about biscuits or sexy monsters. I like to think she was pleased to see me though. I think, was she one of those who burned the bras? Or was she one of those who was simply watching from a side, not doing much, and thinking to herself "mh, you know what")
- A very fine reading rock. Five stars.

Went to the cinema to see Disclosure Day.
Halfway through it I went from "okay, this is a nice, cosy and rather humorous film :)" to OH MY GOD THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD AND THE SHIP, AND THE VIDEOS, AND THE LIGHTS, AND KIDS, OH MY GOD.
Hit my right in the aliens.
And here's my summer goth bracelet, by my friend. Couldn't post in the previous post dammit, but this has to be in the records.
Some pics from a con, Norcon, I worked at last weekend.
I still have to completely recover. Yesterday I finally had a chill day and I was trying to remember if there was anything special I had to do in the evening, or in the next days. Nope. Nothing specific to take care of.
And I loved it. I love this festival feeling where you go in this sort of bubble where everything has to do with the festival, and your waking and sleeping hours are tuned with the festival, and every day you see the same people who participate in the festival.
And obviously I love the nerding. The books, and the book talks, and the conferences, and the cool market stands, and some people in costumes (💙).
I hope I get to see all of those people (and others still) next year as well. If you're a nerd, do get involved in your local nerd cons! (or start one yourself!) Especially if you're a book nerd, cause there aren't so many cons focused on fantastic literature. Trust me, it's great.

Alcune foto da un convegno, Norcon, a cui ho lavorato la settimana scorsa.
Devo ancora riprendermi completamente. Ieri ho finalmente avuto una giornata tranquilla e ero lì che cercavo di ricordarmi se ci fosse niente di speciale che dovevo fare la sera o nei prossimi giorni. Ma no. Niente da sistemare.
E l'ho adorato. Adoro questa sensazione da festival in cui entri in questa sorta di bolla in cui tutto ha a che fare col festival, e le tue ore di sonno e di veglia sono calibrate col festival, e ogni giorno vedi la stessa gente che partecipa al festival.
E naturalmente adoro tutto il nerd. I libri, e le conversazioni sui libri, e le conferenze, e gli stand fighi del mercato, e qualcuno in costume (💙).
Spero di rivedere tutta quella gente (e altri) anche l'anno prossimo. Se siete dei nerd, partecipate ai convegni nerd vicini a voi! (o iniziatene uno voi!) Specialmente se siete nerd dei libri, perché non ci sono così tanti convegni dedicati alla letteratura fantastica.
