I feel like it’s become a bit of a “thing” for me at the moment that everyone says I’m obsessed with my boyfriend (which I have no problem with I think it’s funny) but tonight is one of the many reasons that when someone says that or a similar statement or does an eye roll when I mention his name for the 50 millionth time, that when that happens I think “yeah and what?” He is sooooo supportive of me, he’s always got postive things to say to me when I need it, he asks me how my embroidery projects are going and likes photo updates, he shows his family my work and is proud of me, he understands when I’m low and sometimes the mood just isn’t going away I just freaking love this guy so much he gets me there’s so many other examples and something he said to me in a text now made me cry because it is actually amazing how lovely he is ❤️ sorry tumblr I had to get this out my system

people say “if you don’t lower your standards, you’re gonna end up spending your whole life alone!” like being a healthy, happy, financially independent single adult is actually worse than being stuck in an abusive and/or emotionally unfulfilling relationship with someone who isn’t willing/able to meet your needs. like no offense, but I think I’m gonna choose to be happy rather than throwing myself into a relationship just for the sake of being in a relationship.
