I'm sure people on here can relate to trying hard to insert yourself into a fictitious world in a way that makes sense, and mine has taken the form of the classic isekai situation.

Thrown back 40 years into the past in another reality where Majima is a real person and not a video game character and I wake up on the pavement stranded in 1980s Japan, unable or get a job because I don't speak the language and I have no ID or papers.

I had been wandering the streets of Kamurocho, dazed and confused by my predicament, and Majima helps me out as I'm getting my ass handed to me after a chance run in with some thugs as he happened to be around when it happened. After he learns this, he offers me a job as house keeper and I slowly lose my mind playing tradwife and trying to communicate with him and learning how to cook traditional Japanese cuisine.

Obviously I'm grateful for the chance to have somewhere safe to stay, so I try to learn how to properly care for the house and him via the kind old ladies at the fresh market I frequent with the obscene amount of cash Goro gives me for gorcery runs.

The time period, the culture, and language are all foreign to me, and I have to learn how to use 80s tech, and try to forget about modern comforts and the fact that weed is illegal here.

He buys me a dictionary and I rely on that and flashcards I have drawn myself to try and communicate via pictures.

Problem is, I know his lore and his trauma because I have played the games. So I have to learn to navigate basically knowing all of his personal life details and trying my damndest to be there for him, unable to fully communicate this to him, while also to come to grips with my situation that I'm probably the furthest from home that I could be, and trying to avoid the Yakuza life as much as humanly possible.

Gradually I learn enough of the language to convey my struggles and he teaches me to defend myself since I am ultimately living in the house of a Yakuza and that makes it kind of important to know how not to get instantly killed, and how to handle racism in Japan.

This might be controversial, but I'm not gonna apologize for it

I'm not sure why but I feel it in my bones that Nishitani is trans. My head canon is that the bulge is just where he keeps his money stashed because he carries so much around with him and it doubles as a packer

he would pull some horse piss like pull his fly down and let a fat roll of bank notes flop out onto the table to pay for services

I also believe he would have wrung Majima dry if he had been given the chance to do so
