It's important for me to contextualize this for you because my AU story will take place a few hundred years after the end of this rebellion, but this rebellion took place 4/5 millennia ago. In other words, we are talking about native North American people about 3,800 years ago. And the challenge is to imagine exactly what the native people of North America would have looked like 3,800 years ago. the place where the story will take place will be the Delmarva peninsula in the USA for narrative purposes, and in my research I ended up discovering that at the time my story will take place, the native North American peoples of that region spoke the Algonquian language, and I also discovered that, in more recent times, this region was populated by the Delaware people and the Lenape people. So, to create my character and also her tribe, I'm taking inspiration from the culture of these two tribes, the issue is that I'm not sure what I'm doing, because I haven't found much information about these 2 tribes, to be honest, I don't even know If I should be inspired by these or if there would be another people closer to the people I'm going to portray in my story, then if you have more information about the Lenape and the Delaware to share in the comments, it would be a lot of help, or even if you think you have something that needs to be corrected in everything I wrote.
