[This user begins to see the beauty in Good Omens 3 and knows they will always remember and find each other, in this life and the next, because their soul knows and will always look for their soulmate]
For a moment I thought they were going to spend eternity together in the cosmic bookshop writing the whole universe back in existence in the blank books...
GO hot take apparently
Imagine finding out you have 90 minutes to tie up a love story that's developed over thousands of years. You create something beautifully in character and completely on point for the plot. You pay homage to the original writer's legacy in a fitting and poetic way and create an ending that not only shows the depth of two people's love for each other but the wider love they have for the thing that brought them together in the first place.
And then you go online to find the loudest outcry is that everyone hates it and "THEY DIDN'T EVEN KISS!"
I feel sorry for people who didn't get anything out of that stunning finale.
coming online as someone who liked the finale
the most fucked up thing happened to me
how dare you
Happy Easter.
Happy 15th birthday to Nyan Cat! The post above is the original and first post of the 8bit kitty back on April 2nd, 2011.
I drew it as a cake to celebrate ššāā¬āØ
Reblog if you do NOT want the new Tumblr update
Apparently, from what I hear people say, in the new Tumblr update, if someone reblogs your post and adds a comment of their own, that reblog is counted as a new post and it belongs to the reblogger. Not you. You, as the OP, do not get the notifications if someone else later reblogs from the person who reblogged your post with their own comment. You canāt see what comments people leave on the reblogs of the post you originally made unless they reblogged directly from you.
If this is actually true, it will just open doors for harassment. And also it takes the credits away from the OPs. Tumblrās etiquette has always been āreblog donāt repostā. So this new update, if true, contradicts the whole core values of Tumblr as a community.
Respectfully, we donāt want this @staff @support @tumblr please listen to your users.
Iād also like to clarify that this is what I hear from what a lot of people are saying, and it bothers me. But if I got anything wrong, I do apologize.
Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.Ā
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, youāll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post ā we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out ā stay tuned!
Itās very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, weāll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether youāre the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs,Ā and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If youād like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and weāll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
NO ONE WANTS THIS. It actively breaks the UI, it makes trying to interact with community vastly more isolating, and the fact so many reblogs and comments already saying it would affect their site experience should make you reconsider this. This shouldāve been something that was sent out weeks for feedback before itās implemented, not days. How out of touch is the team that theyād think people would like this, especially without even asking user opinion
Happy March 15th to those who celebrate.
Rasmodius was RIGHT THERE.
watch out for stray arrows!!
It's my 14 year anniversary on Tumblr (apparently) š„³
