♠:// Arthur was glad that no one followed them, or bothered them in their own little corner as they most definitely would have had they not been wearing masks. Smoothing down his own coat and vest, the elder blonde shook his head though bit his cheek to keep his smile hidden. He’d been let in to Alfred’s little antics after he’d threatened a bit of the staff just enough to get it out of them (and of course apologized and would bump up their salary the next payment for his troubles).” I’m happy for you then. Ah, I’m alright. It’s a bit noisy in here isn’t it? I mean, I like it in here, but I was thinking about taking a stroll outside, since it’s so warm in here…” Those bright greens met his lover’s blues and he felt his cheeks heat up. Even under that mask, Alfred was gorgeous. And that silly little piece of hair he could never get down no matter how hard he tried was still so childishly cute on that handsome face. He married someone so pretty, royalty really favored it’s children didn’t it? "Would you like to join me? We can still here the music from the courtyard.." He hummed, a grin forming with those heels laced so tightly making it easy to create a swift turn and out those huge glass doors.
Alfred blinked looking around the room, his ego deflating as he bit his lip. Doubts that he had tried to push to the back of his head reemerged. Was he not enjoying the party? The worried expression fell and replaced with a slightly flustered one. His cheeks heated up as the grin formed on Arthur's face. He had to have the nicest smile in all their kingdoms; rare as it was to see a genuine, kind smile, it made it all the more sweeter when he saw it. Oh, how Alfred loved to be the one whom it was directed to. "I just found you. I'd like to not lose you for the rest of the night," he said as he followed behind him like a lovesick puppy.
And he was right. As they stepped into the beautiful, vegetated courtyard, he shut the door and sure enough the music was still audible; albeit, it sounded more like a hum. "You just want me all to yourself," he teased, taking Arthur's hand. "You're lucky I wanted that just as much."
He knelt down and kissed his hand, closing his eyes as a shaky breath left from his parted lips. How funny that after years of being marriage and being engaged to Arthur, he still felt the butterflies a new couple housed. He glanced at the ticking clock across the room. Thirty minutes away from midnight. His bright, blue eyes locked with Arthur's. He smiled nervously as he asked, "May I have this dance?
