Sitting in the far corner of the bar, when Lorelai first arrived, she was eye stalking every person who entered. She felt uncomfortable and paranoid, but she had been cooped up in her hotel room for two days, she just couldnāt take it anymore. Now, five drinks later, she was feeling a lot more relaxed. Lorelai was never a big drinker, five glasses was enough to make her feel tipsy.Ā āCan I have another, please? Over at the bar. Oh and do you sell those salted nuts? Just as she was about to place her glass down, she smashed it in her grasp and turned her head instantly away from the voice to her right hand side. āNo...ā she choked quietly, the word slipping from her lips. The waitress began to fuss, but Lorelai didnāt speak, she merely waved her off and wiped the blood from her fingers. Of all the bars, in all the city, what were the chances? Sure he had heard the commotion, she didnāt know if he would recognize her with her head turned away. Maybe she could make a great escape? Run to the toilets and Rachel Green it out the window? She cursed in her head for being so messy. That wasnāt like her. She was organised and head strong, always had been. So why was this so hard? Kenna sprung to mind, the thought of her and how he rejected her made her blood bubble with hurt and anger. Hurt her, sure, but donāt hurt her baby. With her liquid courage, she stood up, taking a deep breath she didnāt pause for thought before turning herself around, her breath catching in her throat at the sight of him.Ā āCalvin...ā Lorelai whispered, despite the fact she wanted to sound more firm.Ā
