where they are working on a case together; because after a couple years of fighting about wednesday always lying and keeping enid out of her work, they have finally come to some semblance of character growth and wednesday has finally learned to trust enid to be able to handle herself and she realizes that enid is quite valuable in a fight and during detective work, and enid starts to realize that this is actually a lot of fun, but i digress

breaking into their friends rooms and going through all of their stuff is morally questionable, but they find something so it’s justified (at least to them)
a notebook, full of wagers
it has nothing to do with the case they are working on, but it is interesting nonetheless, because the bets are all about THEM
an tiny little notebook that is absolutely full of names, dollar amounts, and their bet
and every single one depicts their bet for when wednesday and enid will admit their feelings for each other
and wednesday just doesn’t get it
she doesn’t understand why their friends, her own brother included, have dedicated so much time to this and why it has become a guarded secret
she doesn’t hold romantic feelings for enid, at least she doesn’t think she does
together they decide to test the theory, once they are alone again in their room, sitting together on pink sheets and far too colorful quilts, with a simple press of lips she understands
“Oh” is all she can manage, while enid’s face is flushed the most gorgeous shade of pink and there are nervous giggles falling from her lips
“holy shit” enid says, and wednesday cannot help but to agree
there are 49 names in the notebook, and of all of them, of all people, bianca happens to be the only one who was correct in her bet
they decide to keep their relationship secret for while
