Tatia let out a sigh, shaking her head in defeat. “I don’t know why everyone seems so intent on constantly dragging me out or trying to get me to drink. I’m perfectly content not partaking in this nonsense.” She informed the girl, looking around the slightly dingy and darkened bar. “Besides this place just reeks of disease and bacteria. I can guarantee someone in here will wake up with an STI tomorrow.”

“I’m not saying anything wrong with it... I just thought that it might be a little fun.” She shrugged her shoulders with a laugh. Lorelai couldn’t help but roll her eyes ever so slightly as Tatia spoe, “And that’s their fault. But just because you don’t like drining or whatever doesn’t mean others don’t, yknow?”

Why did she always make a point of talking to him? As though she didn’t know his feelings towards her, as though she didn’t know that he pretty much hated her by now. “Why should I? We don’t have to talk to each other Lor, nobody’s going to give us detention for not being team players.” He rolled his eyes. “Yeah well, whatever.”

Of course Lorelai understood why Sebastian didn’t like her. She had been pretty awful to him. It was kind of funny how ever thought it would be Lorelai who would end with her heart broken by Sebastian....but Lorelai had been the one to do the damage between the two of them. “We have to at least try and get along ,Seb. Class isn’t just magically gonna disappear.” She sighed ever so slightly. “Why do you hate me so much?2

Tatia stared down at the shot in front of her, scrunching up her nose slightly. She wasn’t usually one to drink but after a few particularly stressful days, she felt the need to unwind slightly. “Cheers.” She muttered before picking up the shot and downing it quickly, slamming the glass back onto the table.

Whilst Lorelai wasn’t someone who would drink excessively, she liked a drink as much as the next person which was why she had ended up in the bar with Tatia. “Cheers!!” Lorelai called along with the other girl and quickly drank the liquid, “see. That wasn’t so bad!”

“And there’s nothing wrong with that.” Lorelai stated with a no of her head. “If we all loved the same thing then we’d have too much and it would be dull.”

There weren’t enough fingers in the world for Levi to count how many times he’d flirted using his best resources just to get rejected over and over by Rory, but by now it had become almost a fun sport, he had zero expectations. “And yet you still think you need love to get it right,” he said, shaking his head at her. “Honestly, college should have taught you different by now. If it won’t be me, you should at least let me wingman you sometime and get you a mind blowing hook up.”

It wasn’t that Lorelai didn’t find Levi attractive, it was more that she just didn’t want to sleep with anyone really. She wasn’t someone driven by it. And whilst she wasn’t someone to say no...she appreciated their friendship too much to let anything get in the way of that. “I think that it helps make things better. Yes.” Lorelai shook her head ever so slightly. “Honestly, Levi. No need.”

“Well, until I can afford a whole, non-McCain, cake, I can probably sneak you in the movie theatre for free. How does that sound?” For sure, if he was caught, there’d be consequences, but over the time he’s been working there, he discovered a few ways to get people inside for free. 

“You’re not gonna get into trouble because of me.” Lorelai stated with a shake of her head and a laugh. There was no way that she was going to let that happen. “Besides - you’ll always be number one to me.”

Sebastian turned his head to see who was responding to him; because unless his brother had grown a new mouth in a place he couldn’t see and raised the pitch of  his voice by a few octaves, it wasn’t him. Of course, it was Lorelai. Who else? “I think she looks fabulous and has lived the most amazing life with the most amazing people.” He mocked, doing a stupid, exaggerated version of her voice. “Give me a break.”

Lorelai sighed ever so slightly as Sebastian spoke. She had thought that they could at least have pretended to like each other. And it wasn’t like she had come out just because he was there... they were out as a course. Of course she would be there. “You can’t just pretend to get along for two seconds huh?” She asked with a raise of an eyebrow. “But look at her for a second - She’s so extravagant and crazy...you don’t dress like that unless you have something to flaunt.”

“I like that!” Lorelai stated with a nod of her head and a smile. “It’s so right though. Like, there’s nothing normal about love. And cake definitely brings my love out...doesn’t it with you?”

“See, those are all things that would be so easy to change,” Levi said as if exasperated. “Listen, if you think love makes sex special, you should see what experimenting can make of a hook up, the more you learn about yourself, the better it is,” he affirmed. “And you know, I’m an excellent teacher, I can guarantee good results,” he added with a chuckle, unable to resist flirting even if by now he was pretty sure it would get him nowhere when it came to Rory.

Lorelai shook her head ever so slightly as Levi spoke. It wasn’t like she didn’t hook up with people but she valued her friendship with Levi too much to make anything happen between them. “Oh wow - I always seem to forget how cocky you are.” She shook her head ever so slightly. “I’ve had good teachers...but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had greaat sex.”
