“Did you not think to go down to the kitchen and get some food there? I spent more time THERE than the Great Hall in the mornings.” Smiling smugly, he held out his hands in front of the fireball and rubbed them so he could warm up again, only just fully realising that he was cold. “Nope. I can’t remember what I‘m supposed to be in.” Which wasn’t even a lie considering he was barely in any lessons these days, meaning he couldn’t remember where he was supposed to be.

“That would have been the smart thing to do,” Lorelei agreed, shaking her head a bit in befuddlement at her own actions, “I guess I was just a bit frazzled. I wasn’t thinking,” her eyebrows furrowed lightly and she regarded him with a puzzled look on her face, but she let it slip into a smile, “Well if you’re going to skip, you need to be careful doing it, and have a reason. Last week, I skipped Charms with a Hufflepuff. I don’t see you out here with anyone else, though.”

Breakfast on the first day back at classes was a little bittersweet, it didn’t really feel like any of them had really gotten a break, after all the crap that’d gone on. But still here they were, getting ready to start again for another round of classes. Albus had dragged himself from his bed to the great hall, where he was hunched over a coffee when someone sat down next to him. He turned and gave the intruder an incredulous look.

‘‘Please sit.. Not like I was enjoying quiet time or anything.’‘

Lorelei let out a light laugh as she sat next to him and rolled her eyes lightly, “Oh, quiet time isn’t any fun, anyway,” she responded. Shaking her head a bit and idly glancing around the Great Hall as she spoke, she continued, “It’s so boring. Besides, it’s the Great Hall. Not the best place to go if you want to have quiet time.”

Marcella was absolutely done with today. The beginning of classes usually marked the start of a calm couple of months for Marc. She adored being able to have a set schedule, even though she wasn’t much one for actually sticking to it. It was just nice to have something telling her how the day was supposed to go, where what was happening at any given moment for most every hour. It was a little thing that helped keep her grounded in the chaos that was whipping around the Wizarding World at the moment. The beginning of classes was usually a rather calming turn of events, but not today.

She’d spent the day angry, over bitter remarks from her little sister, from tanking a grade because of something her potions partner had done to receiving an absolutely wonderful letter from Mother that morning. Marc was fairly certain the day couldn’t get much worse, but by the coffee splashes a first year had left on her robes she had been very, very wrong. Marcella could barely get a word out before the student was gone, rushing down the corridor and leaving the rather large puddle of his drink in the middle of the floor. Marc huffed instead, muttering to herself angrily as she moved to lean against the wall and start cleaning her robes off with the tip of her wand. She’d dropped her bag on the floor beside her and gotten herself nearly cleaned up when she spotted the feet of someone hovering near her bag. “What.” She asked bluntly, not looking up from her legs as she spoke.

Lorelei had spotted the event from down the hall. She had a free period and had thought she could probably find someone to spend it with and had been looking around for someone that she knew. However, her plans didn’t seem to be sticking as she found herself making her way over to the girl to see if there was any way that she could help her out, or at least try and cheer the girl up. 

However, she let out a light huff at the girl’s greeting, crossing her arms defensively over her chest, “Rude,” she said curtly, “I was going to ask if there was anything that I could do to help. I saw what happened,” she spoke, voice quickly losing the annoyance the more she continued, and she tilted her head at the girl in concern, “Everything alright?”

Letting out a sigh, Molly knew she might as well give up all hopes of finishing her work. Her thoughts were elsewhere and there was always the likelihood of someone popping by to say hello. Dropping her quill again, Molly turned to Lorelei and placed a pleasant smile upon her face. “Because I had nothing else to do but work. I thought that I might as well try to get it finished before I get loaded up with anything else.”

“Ah, you should never do homework because there is nothing else to do, only when there is thirty minutes before the class that you have to turn it in. At least, that’s my philosophy,” Lorelei shook her head, an amused smirk on her face. She tapped her fingers lightly on the table before her and raised an eyebrow at Molly, “Well, now you don’t have to do it, because I’m here. You’re welcome,” she teased.

“Waking up late isn’t my idea of a bad morning, I’ve got to be honest. That’s what I like to call a fucking EXCELLENT morning.” He grinned and pulled out a ripped piece of parchment from his pocket, screwing it up into a ball before setting it on fire and making it float in front of them to keep them warm. “I mean. Probably. But it could be any class. And I’m fairly sure they’re not missing me as no one has found me yet.”

“It wouldn’t have been such a bad thing if I hadn’t had to rush to get ready to make it to class, and I missed breakfast,” she huffed a bit, but was still grinning. She tilted her head lightly at his actions, “Smart thinking. I wouldn’t have even thought to do that,” she injected into her response, before continuing, “You don’t know what class you’re missing?” she asked, a bit amused but mostly confused, “Well, if you’re skipping class, shouldn’t you be doing something fun?”

Scratching out yet another line of her essay, Molly sighed heavily as she let her quill drop to the table. She had been trying to get her work done for about an hour and her brain did seem to want to engage; no matter what Molly did, she couldn’t get into the swing of things. Days like this irritated the Ravenclaw immensely because she felt really unproductive and as if she was wasting time. 

Picking up her quill once more, Molly tried again to figure out where her brain was trying to take her with this particular Potions essay. “Come on, Weasley, focus…” she muttered to herself.

Lorelei grinned as she spotted Molly, quickly making her way to her and plopping down in the seat beside her. She was bored and needed someone to talk to, and Molly didn’t seem to be doing anything important. Essay’s could always be finished later.

“Molly Weasley,” she spoke in a chipper voice as she announced her presence, “Why are you doing homework on such a fine day?”

As usual, James Potter was precisely where he shouldn’t have been. He was supposed to be in Charms or Transfiguration or something but he here was, out on the grounds instead. Considering most people knew he hated the cold, he figured outside was the least likely place somebody would find him. So there he was, wrapped up in a scarf and two jumpers, he hid underneath a tree, hoping no one would disturb him which was wishful thinking as someone always came and spoke to him. “LORELEI.” James blinked and then smiled at her, the cheerfulness catching on. “That’s fucking cute. You’ve made my day as well. What are you doing out here?”

Lorelei laughed lightly at his words as she carefully took a seat next to him on the ground. She leaned back against the tree and rubbed her hands lightly from the cold, “Ah, well, I figured I could find someone out here. I had a rough morning. You know, woke up late, spilled juice on my homework, annoying stuff like that. Figured I could find someone to talk to,” she responded easily, shrugging a bit, “And what about you? Don’t you have class right now?”

The day had only just started, but it had started bad. After accidentally sleeping in and spilling juice on her homework that she was rushing to finish before class, she had decided that enough was enough. If she wanted to salvage the day, she needed to find a way to stop stressing out over her morning, which meant she needed to find someone to talk to.

Since she currently had a free period, she find herself wandering the grounds in an attempt to spot someone who looked like they would want her company. Bypassing a few first years gathered under a tree, she quickly spotted someone nearby. She smiled as she approached them, “Lovely day we’re having,” she said cheerfully, “At least, things seem to be looking up now that I can talk to you.”

Lorelei is a proud Halfblood. Her father is a Muggle and she’s very close with him. 

She’s also a Sixth year Slytherin and she loves her house.

Her favorite subject is Charms, but she’s a prodigy at Potions.

DADA is where she struggles. She joined the Dueling Club to try and help her out with this.

She is a huge flirt and has a reputation around the castle of bouncing around from boyfriend to boyfriend. Guys are a bit of a game to her.

She is super arrogant, though, and has a bad habit of manipulating people to get her way. She can get angry when something doesn’t go the way she wants it and can be known to go overboard to keep control.

She never thinks that she’s done anything wrong.

She is super protective of those that she is close to and will get into fights if you hurt them.

She has an orange tabby cat named Jill.

She doesn’t really care for Quidditch all that much, but loves the competition that comes with it and will always cheer for her house.
