Seb Janiak, is a French–American photographer, director and artist. Janiak has directed several music videos, which feature songs by musicians such as Janet Jackson and Draft Punk.

“Mimesis” 2012 – 2014 (Mimesis is a Greek word meaning imitation)   

Mimesis is an adaptive imitation strategy. There is a major difference between mimesis and camouflage in terms of evolution: camouflage capability, involving colour in particular, can appear and develop very quickly in a species through the interplay of mutations and selection, but mimesis by contrast is a complex co-evolutionary mechanism involving three species: the model, the imitator and the dupe.

Technical note: This serie has been created without any special effects or retouching, but using techniques of analog photography, namely superimposition and photomontage.

Surreal Architecture Paintings by Cinta Vidal Agulló

Inspired by M.C. Escher, Barcelona-based illustrator Cinta Vidal Agulló composes gravity-defying architecture paintings by inducing them them into an alternate labyrinth, where reality has been reversed. Painted on wooden panels with acrylic painting, Agulló’s series “Gravitant” is currently being showcased at the MISCELANEA gallery in Barcelona. Due to the nature of Agulló’s art her work will be rotated weekly, since it could be viewed from several perspectives. Ultimately her goal is a philosophical one: she hopes to remind people that although we live one world, no two people live within the same reality. The mental construction of our mind does not coincide with our physical world, thus her work is a reflection of the complexity of reality and imagination.
