Geez, finally I lock in and actually make something serious for once instead of goofing around like I always do?!? If anyone remembers the ai baby drawing of the knocker I made.. that was my attempt at making something serious
I actually decided to headcanon the knocker's voice claim as the guy who acts Elliot in Mr. Robot. I think it fits him well and the fact that Elliot does literally wear a hoodie, I need to finish that show..
Specifically in the bedrock mod where you get like 10 horror mods (the knocker included), there is a book provided to you and I read the knocker section:
"The Knocker is a creepy figure who watches your every move, hoping you get home safely... There are rumors that he simply seeks eternal company, but his true motives have remained shrouded in mystery."
The bedrock version isn't the original, and he wasn't even THAT developed to begin with because he came from Java and is just hostile/ creepy originally, but they added the feature where he chats with you in bedrock which I find a lot more interactive and interesting.
Which ALSO inspired me more to make this piece because I just love beings who are so lonely and have this human essence to them, I mean who wouldn't ig.. In a way, all the characters that I love and draw have a connection to me and I would obviously project that onto them because art really is that personalš¤
Hopefully one day I can make a profound story, maybe with him or my original ocs but I just really like that idea and I have so many things I wanna say ngl
I used a mechanical pencil and the lasso tool to like do stuff and make it extra sharp with an erasure of gradients, it might just become my new "rendering" process because I hate rendering with opacity and eyedropping.. doesn't matter how fast I can do it with the hotkeys I just hate colors in general. My art is visibly made to be shaded with black not color š«©

itās really depressing but got me in the mood to MAKE something moody which Iāve been trying to do for some time.
I listened to it on loop and it inspired me as it did with other artists who made twisted illustrations of the knocker so I wanted to jump on that train too :)
And if anyone's gonna ask yes I am okay, I'm just a chill guy
I just really like making characters in those feels itās kinda fun š¤
