⚠️Calling All Minecraft Modders⚠️

The Vault is a Forge 1.20.1 Server with a simple premise: Players on the Server can create Mods for the Server. Now, this is not a brand new concept, however, there's a few differences between The Vault and other similar projects! :readmore: Firstly, The Vault isn't some giant YouTuber SMP with Scripted Lore, it's all for fun at the end of the day. Now, this isn't to say Content Creation and Lore is not allowed. Doing Lore or RP is encouraged, just as long as it feels natural and not forced or scripted, and Streamers/YouTubers are welcome (a handful of the members will likely be doing streaming themselves!).

Secondly, we do something special before the Server Launches! Everyone will be randomly assigned a part (or multiple parts) of the game to make a mod around! It can be a small little content mod, it can be a total overhaul, as long as it fits, you're free to make whatever you like!

Now, a couple of things to note! Firstly, this server is unsurprisingly very queer/trans. This is not a space for weird incel bigots. Secondly, the server is not exclusively limited to Modders, though if you're not a modder, you'll need to tell us what you can bring to the table is all. Third, this will be our 5th Season if my memory serves me correctly, however we're starting fresh with new players due to past issues with many of the old members from previous seasons.

And, finally, since this is a smaller SMP and we want good quality assurance, we are only accepting Modders who have a decent bit of experience. If you are brand new to modding or haven't publically released/worked on anything, we can't really accept you into the server, as we want to make sure things run and function smoothly. We DO allow MCreator users, HOWEVER, you will need good experience with it and again, you will need to prove you can make high-quality mods and not just retextured slop. MCreator is a perfectly fine tool, but you still need to know good modding practices to make something good with it.

I wrote a ten page minecraft guide for Java edition 1.20.1 with the Forge mod loader.

In summary... exploration is great, combat is weak, difficulty is broken. Figure out your server goals, how you want to host it, who will host it, and whether to be lax or not with policies. Also how you'll update it and inform people. The rest of the guide is a huge list of mods and their best configs

I also have a partial rewrite on Fabric so I could compare them. I wouldn't do neoforge though.
