Makkachin runs straight for yuuri as soon as he sees him, which seems important since he wasn’t interacting with anyone else in the airport this way. He remembered and missed Yuuri enough to recognize him by sight, and got very very excited. This mixed with the fact that he often sleeps with Yuuri, (as seen in ep. 4 I think it was??) Makkachin probably sees Yuuri as a guardian/caretaker. This just seemed really domestic and sweet to me, like Makkachin views Yuuri as his other owner. Doggy daddies 2k16.

to elaborate: bunnies are prey animals and almost never have their guard down– even when they’re resting they’ll usually have their back legs in a position that allows them to quickly run away. if they’re jumping around it means they’re extremely happy!! and if they flop down w/o a care that means they feel very very comfortable and safe to the point of not having to worry about their surroundings. ^__^
