You very recently found out that your father had died in a car accident three years ago, and you were left behind waiting for him to come home, when in reality, he wasn't. You have a very faint remembrance of being an heir at one point in your life, but you just can't tell how or when. After taking care of your old neighbor's kids for a month, working at a daycare, and lots of persuasion, you have a lovely little girl named Lydia Strider sitting between you and your wonderful husband. She's crawling between you two, laughing and squealing in joy when either of you two make a face at her. Lydia lets you pick her up and set her on her feet. "C'mon, girly,  you've been standing for a while. You gotta learn to walk so we can go to parks, and maybe if daddy lets us we can go to disneyland soon!" You look up and give Dirk bigger puppy eyes than the confused toddler. When you get a nod, he leans forward to let Lydia hold onto his hands. After a few more minutes of prep talking, She begins to waddle towards Dirk. Her knees buckle from under her a few times, but you just chuckle and keep your hands a few inches away from her back. When Lydia makes it the whole way, you all clap and laugh, and you hear a sniffle. "Lydi-" You start speaking, but just start smirking when you see your husband's nose start to turn red.
