As a ghost, the center of their soul is gone. Chara ends up covering the end of the soul they hang around (they usually don’t take over the person), only the person can see them (kinda).

They love monsters like Frisk

They ended up having the looks of a child since human food and monster food are completely different (Unlike human food, monster food has no nutrients that humans need)

They are also love sharp objects and sometimes end up picking them up, they usually keep a knife on them.

He is actually really young but no one knows is actual age, he does act like a kid a lot of the time.

He is the creator of all of the Gaster blasters in the AU

His soul is a dark red color (he absorbed a human soul) sometimes he fights with the human soul he absorbed to stay in control.

He never built the core since he isn’t trapped in the barrier, it doesn’t exist!

He is a bunch of goop, he can bring out as many arms/hands as he wants and he can also change his height a bit (although if he makes himself shorter more of his goo will be on the floor.

He isn’t the best at cooking and is being taught by Undyne

He is very kind, he usually hides his stats so that he doesn't scare monsters and humans

He still loves puzzles and doesn’t tell as many hints since he thinks it will ruin the fun.

He has a note on timelines from Gaster that he found in the waterfalls

Can’t actually taste (he complements the cooking just for their kindness of giving him food, he is actually good at acting... but he can't hide his temper well unless he is around Papyrus)

The black mark on his nose is from being burned (I'm not going to say what caused it yet)

He is a little violent (and enjoys killing when he does) due to his high LV. Usually he attacks (or tries to) humans when he sees one, and monsters than attack him and his brother

He likes puns but usually only tells them to his brother

He only has one blaster, when it fires its beam it had a hole on it's forehead lights up as Sans's eye color, and Sans right eye lights up as yellow (the blasters eye color)

They do live on Mt.Ebott and even protect some of the monsters still above ground

Frisk is pretty much friendly to everyone, they love monsters.

They can't see well and their right leg is broken through most of their journey in the underground.

About Lost Tale...

LOST TALE is a Undertale AU where Gaster is the one who causes the monster/human war, many monsters end up dying from the war including the king, Asgore. A few monsters (including Gaster) are able to live out of the barrier while hiding from humans. Toriel also dies while she in in the underground and Asriel ends up being a young king (16). Undyne and Papyrus are both leaders of the royal guards, Sans also ends up joining the royal guards. Alphys is the royal scientist and created a source of power (the core doesn’t exist) and containers to keep souls in. Chara is just a kid who ends up being curious about monsters and ends up enjoying their life living with them also dying at a young age (in their 20’s). Mettaton is a entertainer to help give hope to the monsters. Frisk ends up being forced into the underground, thrown down into the underground and is able to bring freedom to most of the monsters.

I’m not sure when I’ll be putting up the story, for now I’ll be bringing up info on the characters... but if you interested and look at this then thank you for taking you time to read this!
