“Uhm, I can set it in a certain location if it’s close without seeing it, but I’ve never tried it from too far away. Across a house, for sure. If I can see it, at least twenty meters away. Maybe more? It’s not something I’ve tested.” Chloe was tempted to play with the flame again as they walked, but it was probably a huge hazard to play with fire this close to a bunch of fireworks. Hmm, maybe showing Mira the flame wasn’t her best decision that she had ever made… “If you ever need fire for anything, let me know? Everyone’s magic works so differently. What would you use the fire for? It sounds like you have more ideas than I do.”

Mira nodded her head. They would be able to put the fireworks at a good-ish distance away from them. It would make the viewing better. Mira shrugged her shoulders and looked over at Chloe. “I don’t know I feel like there’s so many good uses for fire.” Mira smirked and then sent her friend a wink. “So what have you been up to lately?” She asked as they approached the entrance to her home town. It felt like it had been forever since she actually got to hang out with Chloe. Mira was glad that they were able to hang out and have this time together.

Mike grinned when Mira admitted that she meant like-liking someone else, partly because it was fun to get her to say like-like. Of course, the fact that she was willing to open up about this was cause for celebration, too. He knew if he said something about his little cousin growing up she might decide not to share the details after all though, so instead he waited and listened. “I’ve had a few people ghost before,” he admitted with a shrug. “Not really after admittin’ feelings though - more like, instead of?” He scratched the back of his head, not really sure how much detail he should be getting into about any flirtations he might have had that had abruptly ended because he never heard from them again. “Did someone do that to you?” It wasn’t a tough question to guess an answer to, considering he was pretty sure Mira wouldn’t be asking about someone confessing and then leaving if it hadn’t actually happened to her. “Did they just leave? Or - are they back, or somethin’?” 

Mira sighed. Mike was a boy he’d understand what boys were thinking....right? He’d be able to give her the answers that she wanted. Hopefully seeing as though the person she should be talking to about all of it she was currently still angry at. “Ghost? Like they turn into a ghost? He didn’t ghost he Vampired...would that be the phrase.” Mira frowned trying to figure out exactly what to call it. “He told me he liked me and then disappeared for two years.” Mira said finally admitting what happened. “He’s back now but he thinks he had a valid reason for leaving and not talking to me for two years.” Mira said messing with the bottom of her hair. “I punched him.” She said looking away from her cousin knowing he was going to chastise her.

“Okay, but only if you promise that nobody’s going to be around. I don’t want anyone to get hurt. I mean, I also don’t want us to get hurt, but like… Hurting is bad.” Chloe followed Mira, sure that this was as safe as it could be even if she was still very nervous. At Mira’s suggestion, flicked her wrist to produce a small flame. “Oh, we don’t need a lighter or a bucket, Mira. Unless they would make you feel better to have, I just- I’m really good with fire.” She flicked her wrist again to extinguish the flame. Honestly, she didn’t even know how to use lighters. She needed to know how to use the oven, sure, but creating or even putting out a little flame was basically instantaneous.

Mira nodded her head. “I promise no one will be around that we don’t know about.” She told her smiling. “Right I forgot about that.” Mira laughed watching the fire flicker on and off Chloe’s palm. “Man I think I would light so many things on fire.” Mira chuckled to herself thinking of all the trouble she would get into if she had the ability to control fire. “How far away can you be?” She asked. “Also can you set it on a certain location?” Mira was curious. She didn’t exactly know how certain magic worked for everyone. She was starting to learn her own but that was nowhere as cool as witch’s magic. “I’m jealous. I want to start fires...I mean be able to manipulate fire.” Mira said with a laugh.

While he knew that Mira could be stubborn and hotheaded at times, Deacon was surprised by the reaction. He didn’t expect her to be this upset with him. After all, he was the one who had admitted to his feelings with little to no response from the woman in front of him. Now she was going to scream at him about how he abandoned her about it. “I couldn’t be sure that I wouldn’t hurt anyone, let alone you. It wasn’t something I was going to risk it,” Deacon tried to explain, figuring it would be futile. He was going to continue to talk about how much of a surprise it had been that he was able to survive reentering society at all when he had to stop and process what she said to him. “I’m sorry, what? You think I was turned into a vampire in some sort of sex act? Seriously? Do you not know who I am? Why would sex with a vampire be your first reaction?”

She was still furious at him. Mira had spent the last two years regretting ever liking the man. She had thought about how she would tell him off when they saw each other again. That was if they saw each other again. Here was her opportunity and now all she wanted to do was something very opposite of yelling at him. Though she had stuck to her original plan of punching him first. “You could have gotten someone to tell me.” She told him glaring at him once again. “I don’t know, isn’t that what they do?!” Mira threw her hands up and looked away. “I also didn’t expect the guy I liked to disappear and return a vampire okay?” She said placing her hands on her hips. “What other reason would you just leave? Obviously you found someone you liked more and wanted to go be with them or they convinced you with their vampire seduction ways.” She said nodding. That had to be it.

“I know ya can, I just - I dunno if that’d be enough,” Mike admitted. He wanted to say with certainty that anything done in human form wouldn’t lead to dome-shaped punishment, but he couldn’t. Had Fritz even been in wolf form when they’d nabbed the council leader’s money clip or whatever it was? He guessed they might’ve been treated a little different either way since they never really seemed to fully back into human mode, but he wasn’t about to go testing the theory. He really didn’t want to think about the matter any further though, so it was a relief that Mira seemed willing to talk about what else was bothering her. “Liked someone?” he repeated, for a moment not entirely sure he’d heard right. “Yeah, you could say that,” he admitted with a wry chuckle. He’d liked several people in is life, but one in particular was standing out in the forefront of his mind. “Ya mean like… like-like, right?” He asked, though he was pretty sure that must be it - she wouldn’t seem so troubled otherwise.

“I’m just so angry.” She said shaking her head. Though that situation wasn’t the only think making Mira angry. Mira wasn’t sure if she should even bridge this topic with her cousin but it had been bothering her so much lately that she didn’t know what to do about it. “Yes I mean like like someone Mike.” Mira rolled her eyes. “Okay well out of the people you’ve liked have any of them, told you how they felt and then kinda disappeared for awhile?” She couldn’t look at him. She knew that her question wasn’t embarrassing but Mira felt that way regardless. She played with her fingers as she waited for him to respond. He wouldn’t judge her or make fun of her right?

Isobel wasn’t taking the situation too well.  For one, they knew full well if Millie hadn’t got there in time, they could have very well gotten shot, or much worse.  They hadn’t watched what they were doing, and now, because of them, Millie was getting heat for something that wasn’t her fault, and Isobel had put themselves in a position where their sister could have also gotten hurt.  The screaming from not only Morgana but also Lilith was worse than anything that happened at Isobel’s shop.  But, like all situations that involved Isobel’s feelings, they were trying to keep it hidden.  But it was getting difficult as the day wore on.  They walked out of the coffee line, latte in hand, and turned sharply at someone coming in their line of vision. “What?” Isobel asked sharply.

Mira knew her cousin well enough to know Isobel wasn’t going to be taking the whole situation with Millie very well. It was her sister of course that got in trouble. Mira was furious and wanted to do very unkind things to the man who held a gun at her cousin but she knew that would make things much worse. Mira wasn’t sure exactly what she could do but she knew she needed to see Isobel. Mira had tried calling her cousin a few times but she hadn’t gotten an answer and wondered if they even had their phone on. Out of pure luck she saw Isobel walking into the coffee shop. She crossed the street and finally made it closer to them when she heard Isobel’s voice. “I know you’re not talking to me like that.” She said crossing her arms and trying to give a sassy face back. “You have to be talking to someone else. Mira turned around just to continue the charades.

This could not be happening. Millie knew that she had messed up the moment her adrenaline had worn off and she shifted back into wolf form. Now there was a video circulating around the internet, exposing her shifting into a wolf and tackling the man that had her sister at gunpoint. This had never happened to her before. Even though being a wolf was not something she was great at, Millie had never shifted outside of a full moon before. Instinct had kicked in and now she was paying the price. At least she hadn’t mortally wounded the man as well. That was a consolation prize if any. It didn’t mean that things would be easy from now on. 

The pack was angry and there was only so much that Uncle Jake could do to protect her from the backlash. Even her mother was aiming for her removal from the pack. So far, nothing serious had come from it and that was something that Millie was happy for. The last thing she wanted to do was find a new pack before the full moon that would take her after what she had done. The most she could do was pack her things and head for the only place she thought she could turn to: Spurlos. She had checked into the inn that operated in town and found herself nursing a chai tea in the coffee shop as the regrets continued to swirl within her.

Mira not only saw the video of her cousin that had now gone viral but heard from various members of their pack what had happened. She was so furious at the man who caused this whole situation to occur and of course it had to happen right around this whole situation with the dome. Mira was sick of people picking on werewolves yes they had an animal side to them but they were still people too. It had taken her awhile to track down her cousin since she spent a lot of time looking in their hometown first. Finally she tracked her to Spurlos. She sighed when she finally saw Millie sitting drinking what she assumed was tea. Mira walked over and sat across from her. “I thought I was the dramatic one in the family not including our mothers, they’re a level all on their own.” She said looking over at her cousin.

Smiling, Chloe decided that asking Mira about this had been a good decision. It always made her feel better to see other people happy. “Uhm, I don’t know if we could get a permit on short notice, no. I don’t even know how these fireworks were even bought in the first place. There are a lot of logistics involved here!” Chloe considered the desert option. Wide open spaces, no people around… it seemed a lot safer than setting them off in Traceless, which had more flammable things happening. “If you’re sure that nobody would be around to get hurt, and it’s really like the middle of nowhere, then it makes a good amount of sense to me. I probably could use some help if you want to take some, yes, please and thank you?”

Mira tilted her head. “We really don’t need one. I promise.” She said with a giant smile. This was going to be a lot of fun. She waited for her friend as she saw the internal debate going through Chloe’s mind. She knew that she could convince her. The desert was the best place to do it. “I’m positive. We’ll be going on land that’s been with my family for a long time. Come on.” She nodded and reached over to grab some of the fireworks. “We have to get lighters so we can light them up!” She said jumping a little bit. “Maybe a water bucket you know for safety reasons.” Mira said giving her friend a wink.

This was not the first or last time that Deacon would witness Mira being a brat. It was one of the more prominent personality traits that she had. Deacon could only blame Noel for spoiling her rotten as a child. As he watched the emotions flicker behind her eyes, Deacon sighed and shook his head for a moment. “Can you just give me a moment to explain before you write me off completely?” Mira might not understand where he was coming from but he hoped she might. Unlike him, her entire life was spent prepping for the eventuality that she would become a werewolf. Deacon didn’t get a choice or prep at all for being a vampire. Hell, he had barely been a capable witch before being turned into a vampire. Now he was going to spend the rest of his life craving the blood of people he swore to protect. “I didn’t disappear because of you or anything. Being turned into a vampire hasn’t exactly been the easiest adjustment to make and I didn’t want to involve anyone else in it.”

Mira didn’t want to give him any more moments. The last two years had been enough time she had dedicated to thinking about him or more the fact that he was dead or when she found him would be dead. “Why should I? You legit disappeared for 2 years.” She said crossing her arms over her chest. Mira wanted to stay angry at him for twice as long, just out of spite. How dare he think she should let him off just because he turned into a vampire. “You wouldn’t have hurt me.” She told him giving him a look. “I could have helped you. Instead you went into a vampire hole and did weird vampire things.” Mira squinted her eyes at him. “Did you get involved in some weird vampire sex thing. Did you fall in love with a vampire is that why you got turned?” She asked. Mira admittedly had spent very few moments thinking about vampires and learning about them. She had never found it helpful or necessary. She was certainly regretting that now.

“I dunno what to do either - wantin’ to punch someone’s fine, long as you don’t actually start punchin’ people,” Mike cautioned. The last thing he wanted was for Mira to go punching the wrong person and winding up in a dome herself, since apparently that might be a possibility now. “What’s got ya in a shitty mood, though?” The dome did, obviously, but it sounded like there was something else on her mind too. 

Mira rolled her eyes at him. Of course he would say that. “I mean I wouldn’t go full wolf on them or anything.” She said rolling her eyes. “I can punch but I know how to control myself.” She muttered shaking her head. Mira groaned as he asked her. Did she really want to talk about it? That was a dumb question, yes she did but at the same time she didn’t. Mira wasn’t someone who enjoyed talking about her problems or really talking in generally but this whole situation with Deacon has made her want to complain non-stop. “Did you ever have someone you liked Mike?” She asked looking over at him.

“That’s true. My other cousins don’t know what to do with the fireworks either. We couldn’t figure out what to do with them, so I ended up with them.” It could occasionally be difficult to figure out who Chloe was talking about because she was very close to so many of her cousins. Any number of them could be significant to one of her anecdotes. In this case, the cousins that did not know what to do with fireworks were her two cousins that lived with her and did not want fireworks in their London flat. “Oh! You can have them if you want them. Absolutely But, oh, we could shoot them off now, even though I’m not sure if we need a permit or anything like that. It could be really fun, yes, but I don’t want to get in trouble… The colors would be really nice, though, I’m sure. How far away do we need to be from here to be safe?” She was buzzing with excitement at the idea of getting to use the fireworks with a friend, but also very scared of getting in trouble.

Mira wasn’t sure exactly which cousins she was referring to but that was okay, she really didn’t need to know. “Yesssss.” Mira said once her friend gave her permission to have the fireworks. She did a little dance and then clapped her hands. “Do you honestly think we’re going to get a permit?” She asked Chloe giving her a look. “We’re going to go to my house and set them off in the desert obviously.” Mira said rolling her eyes. “You won’t get in trouble in the desert no one gives a crap what you do in the middle of nowhere.” She said with a quick nod. Mira smiled and then giggled. “Oh this is so exciting come on! Do you need help?” She asked Chloe looking back at her friend to make sure she was okay.

 “‘Bout the dome?” Mike asked. Despite the fact that Mira hadn’t actually mentioned what it was she was annoyed about, he figured that had to be it - there wasn’t much that he got riled up about, and that was about the only thing he figured they both would be unhappy about right now. “Well, I ain’t exactly thrilled,” he admitted. “’Specially after what happened with Fritz. I mean, they’re not exactly my favorite person, but that was pretty messed up.”

Mira nodded her head. “Yeah.” She agreed that what had happened was horrible. She didn’t really know Fitz but still no one deserved to be locked up like that. “I don’t even know what to do about it.” She said sighing. “It feels really...well it makes me wanna punch people.” Mira pouted. “I’m already in a shitty mood to begin with.” She complained. Mira found herself often surrounded by people who were older than her. Most of her cousins were at least 5 years older and most of her friends were as such as well. Even the guy she had liked (before he abandoned her to be a vampire) was older. Mira wasn’t entirely sure if that was why she tended to act like a brat sometimes or some other reason.

Mira was rather annoyed with everything that was going on. She didn’t appreciate all the people who were discussing werewolves that weren’t even a werewolf. The whole dome nonsense was also degrading. Mira didn’t understand why it was even being discussed. On top of everything she was dealing with the whole Deacon becoming a vampire and showing back up in her life. She saw her cousin in his normal spot and went over to him. “Are you as annoyed as I am?” She asked. Mira needed to talk about and Mike happened to be the first relative she came upon.

Chloe, very confused, approached Mira with her arms full of some boxes. “Hi Mira! Is everything going well for you?” These boxes happened to contain a variety of fireworks, and Chloe was anxious about having to hold them.. “I had to take these away from my little cousin, but now I don’t know what to do with them. I don’t even know where he got them because she’s fifteen, but I don’t want them to go to waste. Do you know of a good home for… fireworks?” Chloe could probably make something interesting with her magic resembling fireworks, but she somewhat understood how her magic worked. Fireworks… she tended to leave those to the professionals. And unfortunately, she couldn’t figure out how to make use of these professionally without potential for uncomfortable conversation.

Mira had been a bit out of it since Deacon had just as spontaneously left her life showed up again. “Hi Chloe...” She said looking at the box her friend was holding. Fireworks? Mira wanted to say something but instead just laughed. “I don’t think there really is a great home for fireworks but I’m pretty sure your house is not the answer. I guess I can take them?” She said tilting her head a bit. “Or we can just shoot them off now?” Mira said with a smirk. It wasn’t super dark outside but they didn’t look to be big fireworks anyway. “It could be a lot of fun!” She said starting to put a pout on her lips. She wasn’t exactly sure why she now wanted to set them off but she had become determined.

status: open @tracelessrp​ location: hemlock (traceless village) time: close to 1am on a friday night 

  Of course he found find the nightclub within 48 hours of even learning that Traceless existed. He’d been looking for The Rendezvous, having already pricked his ears on the stories of the fun to be had within those walls, but had ended up leaning against the stylish bar in Hemlock instead. The promise of alcohol and music (and plenty of supernatural folk to enjoy it with) was enough to distract the witch from his mission, and now he was ready to drink the dreams that haunted him away and melt into the little treasure-filled world Ro had discovered in Traceless. 

   When it came time to order his second drink, Ro listened to the person beside him call out their drink, and then flashed a grin to the server. “I’ll take whatever they said, too,” He said decisively, turning that smile to the person beside him. “Sorry, just my usual rum and cola sounded too traditional, so I wanted to try something new. What did we just order, anyway?”

Mira was not typically someone who visited clubs. It wasn’t entirely her scene but after meeting up with her ex best friend and person she had feelings for after him disappearing for 2 years she decided it was time to be a bit different. At least for the night anyway. Mira made her way to the bar seeing and waved at the bar tender to get their attention. If she was going to drink she was going to make sure it tasted as good as possible. She asked them for a sweet drink that was going to make her forget her troubles. What she wasn’t expecting was the person next to her asking for the same thing. “I don’t actually know. I’m hoping it’s a memory erasing drink but seeing as that is unlikely probably shots.” She said shaking her head. “You’ve got a lot of trust to just blindly order the same as someone else.”

Yeah, the worst thing that could happen to him was coming at him right now. Deacon had a lot of regrets from the time he was changed and one of them was the girl standing across the way from him. They had always been good friends, since the moment his father had dragged him to Las Vegas on his trips. After a while, they became friends on their own despite the five year age difference between the two of them. Him growing feelings for the girl was not exactly the greatest timing considering he was turned into a vampire merely days after admitting them to her. So even though they weren’t together, him going into hiding was less than ideal. Mira wasn’t the type to take things lightly and her best friend going missing for two years would drive her insane. Just as he thought, her fist connected with his face and Deacon just turned to look at her and raised an eyebrow at her. “Hello to you too, Mira,” he kept his tone neutral as he wanted for more of a bratty outburst from her.

Mira glared as he barely moved due to her punch. So her suspicions were confirmed, he wasn’t a human anymore. She took a deep breath and continued to glare at him. There were so many things she wanted to say but didn’t know how to form the words. “You broke my heart and I don’t want to talk to you again.” She said finally huffing and shaking her head. “I don’t want to be friends with you anymore.” She wasn’t even going to allow him to explain. What was there to explain? She could obviously tell what had happened. Two years later and she still was harboring feelings for the man. Mira hoped that now she had found out that he was still around just avoiding her she was able to properly move on.

Despite the situation being as weird as it was, Mike was taking everything in stride. Sure, it was a little confusing keeping track of who was in whose body, but it had only taken a few hours after the swap for him to remember to ask people who they were, and now that it had been over a week he had pretty much gotten down who was in whose bodies. Not that he needed to remember that for Mira - she hadn’t been impacted by the swap, which mean the Mira he saw in the café was definitely his cousin. Things were a little too busy for him to stop over and say hi during his shift, but as soon as he was off the clock he headed on over. “Mira, hey! How’s it hangin? Oh - it’s Mike,” he reminded, just in case she’d forgotten. 

Mira wished she had a notebook in order to tell her who changed into what body. She couldn’t be expected to remember who everyone changed into. She did remember basic changes, especially for the members of her family. Her cousin Mike being one of them. She had noticed that there was some blonde girl doing his normal job and that reminded her that the blonde woman was actually his cousin. She stayed in her spot in the cafe until her cousin joined her. “Hey, yeah I remembered once I saw you working. I didn’t remember at first.” She laughed shaking her head. “Do you know anything about why you switched?” Mira asked continuing to eat her candy.
