i'm surprised ben was only kidnapped twice

in the isle of the lost novel carlos creates a hole in the barrier so that he can watch tv (of all things you could do that for). in d1 they open they barrier THRICE: first to get the fucking limo in (why a limo and a magical bridge it's an isle use a boat), then to get the core4 out, and again at the end with both maleficent and mim escaping (mim not doing anything to free anyone else is high-key in character and i can stand behind that). in wicked world they get MAGICALLY teleported in and out of the isle. in return they all GO BACK to the isle because apparently some catacombs with some talismans have showed up because yes and they create an underground path from the isle to auradon (????). in rise they destroy the talismans making the barrier VANISH which allows triton's trident (magic!!!) to get in the isle but nothing fucking happens. in d2 they come and go from one place to another who knows how many times. in escape there's a crack in the barrier (despite the fact they had apparently strengthened it after uma's escape 😭) and the core4 VISIT the isle like in two different occasions.

the only reason this fuck ass prison works is because everyone just dumb af
