While Isak googled how to get turned on by girls, Lucas googled how to not come across as gay and Matteo how to sleep with a woman without being into her. They may seem like similar questions but I think all of them show a very different reason why these three want to stay with their Emmas. 

Isak was still trying to be into girls, he saw his crush kiss another girl, so he gave up on kissing a boy and instead tried to be straight again. 

Lucas was scared of how other people perceived him. He was deep inside the closet and very scared of what his friends would think of him if he came out. He stayed with Chloe so no one would assume he was anything but straight.

And Matteo wants to sleep with Sara not to make himself happy or turned on and not even to seem straight to others. He wants to sleep with her because it’s what she wants. He genuinely cares for Sara and wants to be friends and he thinks if he can’t be happy then at least he can make her happy.
