Hello! And no, I'm not dead — neither of us is. Here's a writing exercise from last August, inspired by a day in a breathtaking city that I love. I had the idea to try this exercise because I was seeing so many beautiful places, and feeling such specific things when living those days. The challenge was to try and translate that into language — not an easy thing, of course. I hope you enjoy it — if you're still out there somewhere reading this. Oh, fun fact! The day that inspired me to write this was one I spent with our own Alisa, from this very blog! - Carol
02 August 2017 There is a river flowing under the iron bridge, its colour hard to discern in the sunlight. It looks like a mossy green that is nevertheless quite sharp, with brownish tones. The non-stop wind is now calm, and the tiny waves forming make the river’s surface slightly shiver. All day long, the river’s surface is never still or waveless, and therefore it is never the clean mirror…
