He wasnât surprised when she didnât hear him, he hadnât spoken loud enough to drown out the music that rang through the air. It was frustrating to say the least, but he couldnât let it bother him. After several millenia, death had built up a thick skin for things of little consequence. He noted the expression on her face, and stood strong despite her demands. â I let myself in. â he answered, raising an eyebrow as she held the blade in his direction. â I mean you no harm, and the knife wouldnât serve you either way. â he admitted. â Believe it or not, Iâm here to save your life. â
âOkay, but like how? That door was locked!â Despite what he said, Doveâs grip on the knife only tightened as she moved towards her phone. While she may not have know how this loon had managed to break in, she certainly wasnât about to wait around to find out why. Especially given she had no reason to believe his claims. âIâm calling the police. You can either stay here and have them drag you off, or you can get the hell out and Iâll pretend this never happened.â
