I almost didn’t blog this and felt guilty

not everybody has been exposed to what you have, or has seen what you’ve seen or felt what you’ve felt. so their priorities and abilities are different from yours. that’s why you can’t compare their accomplishments or their journey to your own. you don’t see the mountains you’ve conquered as mountains because the view you’re seeing is skewed. you can’t always trust your own eyes when they’re looking at yourself. you can only strengthen your mind; tell yourself that you’re different and your battle is unique. remind yourself that you’re winning your fight just by surviving.
Remember to...
Open your windows and (allow your house to breathe,) let fresh air in,
Brush your teeth every morning + night, and to floss,
Treat yourself to a spa day once in a while (or every day,) spa days can consist of: bubble baths, wearing laundry right out of the drier and sleeping on fresh, clean bed sheets, giving your nails some attention: painting them, clipping them, manicure/pedicure, giving yourself a whole day of doing nothing, anything you prefer,
Tell yourself it’s okay to: feel happy about something you did, feel sad about something you did, make mistakes, splurge on commodities, be open about things that make you-you,
Take breaks when doing your homework, take a personal day off from work for yourself (if you want), take a break from your daily schedule- mix things up a bit, take a break from your diet/ working routine, take a break from society (break norms! good norms!)
Say please and thank you to your mom, dad, sibling, relative, friends, strangers, yourself,
Take care of yourself, tell yourself how beautiful and handsome you are, write letters to yourself, buy yourself gifts, cook for yourself, watch, laugh and cry with yourself while watching your favourite shows/movies, tell yourself stories, write yourself body positive poetry, make a check-list of all the things you love about yourself, talk to people you like, love, or even crush on, prove mean people wrong by being better than them, remember that you are better than them, be yourself, eat healthy, don’t beat yourself up for other people, or even society,
Clean what needs to be cleaned like your room, dishes in the sink, or that poor vase that was forgotten about and collected dust,
Water your plants if you are caring for any in, or outside your house, and talk to them, they love carbon-dioxide and I promise that they will listen to what you have to say.
The saddest thing in the world is when you’re really excited to see a person and you’ve imagined all these scenarios in your head about how it would go and then you get there and it’s awkward and you’re both distant and you leave with this crushing sadness and this insistence that that wasn’t how it was supposed to be
