This man, one of the most powerful people in London if not in the whole of England, has the sweetest, most kind-hearted daughter. An absolute sweetheart who couldn't even hurt a fly. She would help the servants simply to create a bond with them. She got the stubborness from her father and the angelic looks from her mother. A rare gem that the Phantomhive males set their lives on to protect.
She is always at her father's side. If not him, she's with one of the twins. No one has ever seen her alone. Bright young men are betting against each other about who could sweep the little Phantomhive lady off her feet.
No one has been able to do it yet, but just a few stay determined.
Now, with the twins attending Weston College and Vincent being out for business, it's open season for the young men.
Vincent has prepared for this, of course, and set Tanaka on 'protecting' duty. Alas, it is still his daughter, and his wits didn't pass her either. She's even worse with her tricks than Vincent ever was.
She is able to escape the mansion in one way or another, just to finally go outside again after her father left.
Vincent is strict with his daughter, but it doesn't really bother her most of the time.
It's just that when someone has been inside for two weeks, they would like to leave the premise for a bit.
Even if they have to break a few sacred rules to do it.
Daughter Phantomhive is intelligent, but when it comes to the real world, she doesn't have any knowledge of it.
She's too kind to the people on the street, puts too much trust in the shady man trying to sell her stuff.
Usually, Ciel was there to link their arms and fend of any unwanted salesman or just men in general. [Redacted] was there to distract her when Ciel got a bit...too heated.
But now she was on her own, no protection. Open season.
When the gossiping starts that the Phantomhive daughter is walking all alone on the streets, it'll only take minutes before nobles come from left and right to woo the young lady.
She is overwhelmed by the amount of attention, not knowing how to ward them off or how to excuse herself.
If Tanaka wasn't as 'trained' as he is, she would've thrown hands to get out. He found her in no time after he realized she tricked him.
Giving the nobles a stern look (if looks could kill) and guiding lady Phantomhive back to the mansion, he had to contact Vincent. With protests of the rule breaker, he eventually managed to get ahold of Vincent.
He was home in a day.
Goodbye privileges.
Vincent knew he wouldn't be able to keep this up. With his daughter growing older, smarter, and more rebellious, and Vincent being away for business all the time while his boys are at school, he couldn't keep her safe forever.
It was a last resort, but Undertaker was his only solution.
Undertaker would love to watch over precious miss Phantomhive, but alas, he is busy himself with some...project.
Of course, he doesn't like seeing his friend so distraught. So maybe he has another solution , one he isn't fond of himself.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
If it wasn't for Undertaker’s obsession interest in the Phantomhive family, he would never have helped with or even suggested this.
Vincent would get his hands red for his daughter. His soul was a cheap price to pay.
Finding a sacrafical lamb wasn't hard to come by as well.
Undertaker left right as the ritual started, not wanting to deal with the demon that was about to appear.
Sebastian.
That was the name of your new butler. The one your father hired to watch over you while he and your brothers were gone.
You had made a light joke about him having the same name as your and your brother's late dog. You had picked it out.
Sebastian only frowned at your remark.
What a great start.
The quite intimidating butler hovered over your shoulder day in and day out. Always ignoring your request for some privacy with a smile. Small talk didn't happen regularly as you chose to ignore the heavy presence of the man.
You tried every trick in your book to get rid of him even if it was only for a private strole through the garden. Sebastian only seemed amused by your attempts and encouraged you to keep trying. No matter what, he would always find you.
You never got angry with him, maybe a little fussy, but never angry. You started to like this cat and mouse game. It was something to keep your mind busy in these lonely days.
Vincent was a bit...stunned to see you hanging onto the chandelier when he got home. You weren't wearing one of the gowns he got you. Instead, you were dressed as a peasant boy. Even had your hair tucked neatly under a hat.
You were trying a new plan. Climb onto the chandelier via the stairs. Hide up there until you were certain Sebastian was at the other side of the mansion, and then go out looking like someone completely different to make it impossible to find you.
Your smile was forced as you awkwardly climbed down the stairs. You hadn't expected your father to come home today. Usually, he would send you a hundred letters asking how you were doing and that he would be home soon. He didn't do any of that on this business trip.
You just hoped he wasn't mad.
To your suprise, he took off the hat and kissed the crown of your head. He walked away with a smile as he waved the hat at you and told you to change.
Huh, guess he thought it was funny.
Your father seemed more at ease with this new butler watching you like a hawk.
Your brothers were a bit on the defense, though.
When it was family visiting weekend at Weston College, they could not stop staring daggers at Sebastian. You told them to be nice, but they argued that they didn't trust him one bit. Your father had to tell them off at one point when Ciel would literally shoo Sebastian away as [Redacted] showed you around the school.
Brothers will be brothers.
It was only when your father had a talk with your brothers behind closed doors (that you totally didn't eavesdrop on by hiding in the secret passageways of your home) that you started to get suspicious of who or what Sebastian was.
Your brothers had accepted the butler after that talk.
Your gut yelled at you even more when your father received yet another envelope stamped with the queen's sigil (that you totally didn't intercept when the mailman came), and shortly after he and Sebastian had some business at Weston College.
This was also the first time you were allowed to come along with your father.
Vincent had some business to do with the principal of the school. Sebastian became an undercover teacher. You had to swear to keep secret while you were trapped yet in another building. This time with everyone on your ass at all times.
Ah well, you were looking for a new challenge anyway.
Especially when four prefects were more than willing to help.
If only you knew their real intentions.
Your father wished you inherited his people reading skills instead of his art for tricking people.
Thinking about yandere Phantomhive twin brothers who force ask you to cheer them on with the cricket tournament. They make you wear something blue to represent their house. They know their little sister is watching so they have to show off ofcourse (R!Ciel more than O!Ciel). They know their house isn't really focused on sports but they will become olympic players if you're there.
If they even see a noble breathe in your direction while standing on the bleachers, they will throw the cricket ball at that nobles head. On accident ofcourse. They have to keep up their appearance.
You have to cheer for everything they do and be ready to console them and pamper them when they loose.
The whole school will have their eyes on the infamous Phantomhive girl, but their curiosity will soon fade when they see the burning glares of the twins.
If father dearest is with you then be ready to be the picture perfect daughter. He will prance you around like a doll. He won't allow any men or women near you except for the Midfords'. (Although you and Edward seem AWFULLY close)
If cheering all day long wasn't tiring enough, the prefects are dying to meet the girl the twins were talking about 24/7. The most precious sister in the world.
You are so gentle and modest. Redmond thinks you are the most adorable thing in the world when you shy away from his flirty advances. Violet can't seem to capure your ethereal beauty in any of his drawings. Bluewer is suprised by your knowledge (although it was expected, seen as Vincent is your father and the twins your brothers) and can't stop discussing various books with you. Greenhill thinks you are so delicate and handles you like glass, he always has the need to show off his strength to you, to make you see how good he could protect you.
Your brothers seem to notice how liked you are, but can't do nothing about it, the prefects are not to be messed with. They become more and more possessive and agitated. Trying to put the prefects in a bad light, but even Vincent can't ignore requests from them asking you to come for tea.
It's not like you really want to go, but what choice do you have?
Stay with your overbearing family? Or go to the obsessive prefects?

A/N: Another, short, MOM!AU part! I changed the scenario a little bit but the outcome is the same.
Maiden in distress
It all happened so fast, your head couldn’t process what had passed. One minute you were submerged in your book as you walked down the stairs and the next you were sprawled out on the bottom with pain shooting through your body like fireworks exploding in the sky; your book being flung across the hall from impact.
You tried to push yourself up, placing your hands on either side of your head, but the moment you put weight on them you winced in pain and your elbows buckled from under you. A burning pain bloomed to life in your wrist as you laid there face first on the marble floor.
“What was that sound—MAMA.” [redacted]’s voice went from confused to panic in the split second he spotted your form laying still on the ground.
You hissed at the throbbing sensation in your foot as you tried to look up where the voice came from.
It didn’t take long for your son to cradle you in his arms and help you sit up.
“What happened? Are you okay?” His tone held allot of anxiety as his eyes flitted over your body in fright.
“I fell down the stairs—AH.” You reached for your ankle in a swift motion the moment you put even the slightest of pressure on it trying to sit comfortably.
Your youngest son gasped in worry as you did so, calling for help immediately.
You tried to convince him you were fine, not being in the mood to be swaddled by an overly protective Vincent. His selective hearing was shown once again as he ignored your request.
It didn’t take long for your husband and your eldest son to come running at the sound of alarm made by your usually quiet boy.
“[Redacted]! [Y/N], love, what is going on?” Vincent had lost his business tone the second he saw your face scrunched up in pain. It was one of the small signs Vincent owned that showed he had actual feelings rooted deep inside him for you and didn’t just keep you by his side as trophy wife.
“She fell from the stairs, I think her ankle is sprained.” Your son rambled and hugged you against his side as if that was going to make your pain evaporate into nothingness.
He was probably squeezing you more for his own comfort and raising anxiety then for your hurt.
Vincent squatted down, inspecting your trembling body from head to toe. His gloved hand glided over your cheek, staining them. You hadn’t realized you were crying from the pain.
He hummed in discontent seeing your already swelling ankle and limp wrists.
“Get Tanaka to call the doctor. I am afraid this isn’t just a sprain.” Vincent stated. You grunted in dissatisfaction.
Ciel nodded at his father; walking away quickly the moment he got the order.
He had always been a very obeying son when it came to your wellbeing.
“Come on dear, I’ll carry you to the bedroom.” Vincent didn’t await your reaction as he scooped you up in his arms; a worried [Redacted] walking behind the two of you as he clasped his hands together in a nervous habit.
You felt a twinge of pity for your son as you saw his eyebrows knitted with fear for your health.
Your dangling ankle sprouted with pain anytime it moved even the slightest. You couldn’t hold onto Vincent as your wrists didn’t allow you to. You looked like a limp ragdoll in your husband’s arms.
“Vincent, I am sure it isn’t that bad. Don’t get so rash.” You pleaded with him. You didn’t feel like staying in bed for five months for just a sprain if he thought necessary.
He shook his head, straining his muscles to hold you even closer to him.
“You can’t even move your hands, you are seriously hurt.” Vincent countered. You wanted to protest, but that look from him send your way as you uttered a word made you zip your mouth shut immediately.
Vincent carried you through the bedroom door. A strong sense of déjà vu overcoming you with the way he held you through the entrance. The wedding night never left your memory even if you so desperately wanted to.
He tried his best to put you down on the soft mattress without pressuring any part of your body that hurt, but even with his gentle way you still winched when you felt your wrists and ankle move.
“I’m sorry love. The doctor will be here shortly, just hang on.” Vincent tried to soothe you, his hand caressing your hair as he smiled at you.
Even with his confident words his eyes betrayed how worried he was for you.
You could honestly laugh at this. A man called the queen's watchdog almost on the verge of crying because his wife fell down some steps.
You weren’t even concerned about the state of your body. It would be annoying for a couple of weeks and the pain was not all too pleasant, but you didn’t think of it as the end of the world like your husband and two sons’.
Ciel had taken the spot of his father after Vincent walked away to welcome the doctor in and helped you sit comfortably. You couldn’t readjust yourself, your wrists too weak to hold your body weight.
Your younger son sat down at the foot of the queen sized bed, he sighed looking you over and opened his mouth.
“How did this happen?” He interrogated you, his lips tugging downwards. He reminded you of a sad clown’s mask.
You explained to him that you were reading a book while walking down the stairs and likely missed a step.
Your elder son tsk’ed at you for not being more careful.
“You should always pay attention when walking down the stairs mama! Now you see that your reading addiction is dangerous for your health.” Ciel said in matter of fact tone and you scoffed.
Getting lectured by your own son felt condescending to you in a way.
That ‘reading addiction’ he was talking about is but a mere exaggeration of what it is in reality. He had always found it annoying you paid more attention to your books than your family, so most of the time he sought excuses for Vincent to make you lessen your reading time.
Vincent didn’t mind it that much, knowing you had nothing else to do while being stuck here inside the mansion.
“It could’ve happened to anyone, don’t be dramatic boy.” You softly smacked the back of your son’s head, but regretted it straight away as your wrist burst with pain.
Not long after Vincent walked in with the doctor. You smiled at the old man, happy to see another face after so long.
The check up didn’t even last 20 minutes. The doctor confirmed with a few touches and movements that your wrists were sprained badly and your ankle broken.
He had wrapped your leg in a cast and your wrists in bandages to keep the movement minimal. Your ankle would be fully healed in six to eight weeks. Your wrists would take several months since it was the muscle that was badly effected and you would most likely feel the aftermath for years.
After sharing information with Vincent about bedrest he gave you some painkillers and laying aside a few for the future. The doctor took his leave shortly after.
You groaned. The one thing you prayed for not to happen has occurred.
Vincent sat down next to you, smiling softly. You grimaced at him.
“Looks like you have to depend on me for a few months.” He said it like an apology, but you both knew he loved having you depend on him for every whim.
Your sons’ weren’t of any better as they sat down on the bed too, a smile toying with both their lips.
Women in the country could only pray for such a devoted husband and caring children who wouldn’t complain about taking care of their wife and mother. They hoped to trade places with the Mrs.Phantomhive, but you didn’t want to trade for the world. Not because you loved it, no, quite the opposite. You despised it and wouldn’t wish this position on anyone.
You tried grabbing the glass of water the doctor had provided you, but Vincent snatched it away before you could reach it. You were about to whine at Vincent, but he held a stern gaze.
“Doctor’s orders, you can’t put any strain on your wrists.” He said as he put the glass to your lips. You reluctantly drank as your eyes shot fire at your husband.
Just a few more months of this. You reminded yourself.
Just a few more months…

a dream come true
Your period was abnormally late this month. It wasn’t unusual for you to skip a month since you were under constant stress from Vincent who is on your ass all the time, but you didn’t get your period last month either. Normally you wouldn’t even worry to much about it, only now you were hardly breathing and chewing on your nails until your teeth hit flesh.
Vincent had been trying to get you pregnant for a while now.
He had put you on this special diet that would make you more fertile somehow, he wouldn’t let you leave the table until your plate was pearly white again. He would ‘make love’ to you every single night, even if he came home from a meeting at 5 in the morning. You couldn’t catch a break with him.
You tried to avoid his advances by convincing him you were in a deep slumber or lying about when you were ovulating. The doctor Vincent had hired for you always ruined your little lies by happily telling your husband the truth. It was infuriating.
You were in bed pondering over your period, or lack off; your husband still sleeping beside you. The door opened to reveal Tanaka with a silver tray in his hand.
‘Oh good, you are awake. I have your morning tea.’ His smile was so sweet that you couldn’t resist giving one of your own.
‘Thank you, Tanaka.’ Your voice was raspy as this was your first time speaking after waking up.
Tanaka opened the curtains, letting warm sunrays hit your cold skin. All the commotion made Vincent stir as he slowly woke up. You didn’t pay him any attention as you watched Tanaka pour you some tea.
‘What a sight to wake up to.’ A husky voice, definitely Vincent’s morning voice he doesn’t sound like this at all during the day, coaxed you to look at him. You turned your head to greet your personal devil.
‘Good morning Vincent.’ You didn’t say much more, already feeling irritated by him.
He sighed at your response and slowly let himself sit upright. Meanwhile Tanaka handed you the steaming hot cup of earl gray tea.
‘Anything for you my lord?’ Tanaka questioned the man next to you.
Vincent nodded.
‘The same as the beautiful woman next to me is having.’ You glared at Vincent as he gave you a lazy smirk. You still had your bedhead and knew for a fact you weren’t looking the prettiest right now.
‘Save your antics for later please. I am not feeling all too well right this moment.’ You dismissed his worried look as you went to take a sip of your tea, but before the cup reached your lips a waft of the Earl Grey entered your nose and a sudden wave of nausea hit you. It came so sudden you barely had time to react to the vomit that was slowly creeping up your throat. You dropped the cup on the sheets as you jumped out of bed and ran to the toilet. Nothing much came out of you as you threw up. You didn’t even want to look inside the toilet when you were done. Your throat was burning and your body was shaking as Vincent stood there by the door looking at you. You gazed up at him and instead of the worried look he was sporting just moments ago, a more cheery expression took its place. Your eyes were wide with pure fear as you shook your head. You knew that look.
‘No Vincent I am not pregnant, maybe I just caught the flue.’ You tried to scramble to your feet as you wiped your mouth with your puffy sleeve. Dizziness took over you as soon as you got up, Vincent came to your aid as you lost your footing.
‘We should get this ‘flue’ checked out, shouldn’t we?’ You shook your head violently at his words. He tilted your chin upwards, you still refused to meet his gaze.
‘Darling, morning sickness is a serious symptom. We are going to call the doctor.’ His tone was dark, a warning for you to listen.
You were on the verge of crying as Vincent and you waited for the doctor to finish her examination. The bed didn’t feel as comfortable anymore as she made you do some breathing exercises and more. Vincent couldn’t stop smiling as he was standing by the window, watching you and the doctor.
It felt like years passed when the woman finally pulled off her gloves. You didn’t dare to say anything as you held your stomach. Vincent asked the question to a dreaded answer.
‘And?’
The doctor beamed at Vincent. Your heart sank.
‘Congratulations Earl Phantomhive.’
Your tears finally fell down your cheeks, the doctor must have thought they were happy ones as she congratulated you as well. Oh how you wished she knew the truth.
Tanaka lead the woman outside leaving you and Vincent alone in the bedroom.
‘We finally did it my love.’ He was hugging you close, you still didn’t say anything as you let your salty tears stream freely. You hoped Vincent thought you were crying from how happy you were with the news. He pulled away from the not so comforting hug, you looked into his bright eyes as he stared into your dull ones. His expression almost matching the one he wore on your wedding day.
‘We are going to be a family.’ He whispered before initiating a kiss, you went with it. Not having the energy to protest.
A few days had passed. Vincent was sharing the ‘joyful’ news to his business partners. You were reading in the corner of the room as the men all congratulated your husband and you. You didn’t pay them any mind and only acknowledged them with a small smile. You didn’t feel like listening to Vincent gloating about you, his pregnant wife, and took your reading to his private work study. You informed your husband and gave him a small kiss on his cheek to make him more lenient with you leaving. He watched you walk away with a small frown.
You could just scream as you closed the door of the room. You didn’t want this to happen, you didn’t want to be pregnant, not from him, not now not ever. You let out a frustrated sigh as you dropped your book on his desk and grabbed the edges. You could tell your stomach was getting bigger and you hated it.
You hated how attached you already were to the living being in your uterus.
You didn’t want to have Vincent’s baby, but at the same time it was also yours and that fact was excruciating to you.
You bit your hand to keep you from screaming out loud.
A bottle of pills caught your attention, it was standing on the corner of the desk.
‘God please help me.’ You prayed, begged as you grabbed the container. You took some out and looked at them. You weren’t sure what kind of pills they were, but you knew it wouldn’t be good if you took too much of them. Not life threatening perse, not for you at least.
Were you really going to do this? A better question: were you capable of this? You pondered a bit as the pills were laying oh so invitingly in your hand.
You decided no, no you were not strong enough to kill something that was yours. As you were about to put the pills back a hand covered your mouth as another smacked the tablets out of your hands; littering the floor.
‘ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!’ The voice of Vincent bellowed in your ear, your eyes widened at the sound.
The word kept repeating in your mind as Vincent kept on screaming at you, he had turned you around; his hands clamping your shoulders, shaking you mildly.
No, no, no, no, nonononono—
He kept going as you didn’t say a word.
‘How could you even think about doing such thing, are you mental?!’
‘I can’t let you do this.’
No.
He pulled you out of the room, dragging you behind him as you couldn’t match his pace. He practically threw you inside the bedroom, you tried scrambling away, but he was quick to react. He made you sit on the bed, you tried to pry his hands of your wrist, but to no avail.
No. Please god, no.
‘Vincent, please I didn’t try anything.’ You wept, but it was clear Vincent wasn’t listening.
‘You are a danger to yourself and our child, I have no choice.’ He bound your wrists to the bedpost. You were absolutely horrified, scared of what he was going to do to you.
‘Vincent, please—’ his hand collided with your cheek, the impact made you face left. You didn’t dare to turn your head back. He didn’t give you much choice once again as he grabbed your face, his hand painfully gripping the red spot that started to form.
You wanted to cry as you saw his face, he was furious. His eyes were full of rage and if it wasn’t for him holding you in place, you would have cowered away from him.
‘I’ll make sure you are unable to harm the two things I love the most in this godforsaken world.’ With that he left the room.
You were still shaking violently, hoping he would stay away. You couldn’t even catch your breath as came back with a…

You started trashing, pulling the handcuffs so hard the bed started to move. Vincent tried to keep you calm as a hammer rested in his hand.
‘Vincent, please don’t. I’ll be good. Oh god.’ You were sobbing, minutes away from a break down. Vincent just shushed you as he got you to stop moving.
‘It’ll only hurt for a second. It’s for the best, darling.’ He cooed at you, you were still screaming at him as he brought down the hammer on your wrists.
You weren’t sure if you could ever love the thing that was growing inside you after this.

A day in the life
"Stop that." Vincent's stern voice rung through the once silent work study. You didn't look up from the romance book you were reading as the main character was about to do something stupid. "Stop what?" You questioned him. Your voice was barely audible as you were still emerged in your book. "Sighing. I'm trying to work, darling." His head was hanging low as he scribbled something on a paper before laying it on a pile of letters on his left. You knitted your eye brows together; your focus slowly draining away from the world you were pulled into. "Sighing?" You re positioned your body on the small sofa you were lying on, to get a better look at your husband. "I didn't notice i was." Your eyes were slowly drifting from the page you were reading. The focus you once had completely gone. You sighed as you put your book down, probably not finding the motivation to read it further today. "You're doing it again honey." You side eyed him.
Sighing became as natural as breathing for you the past days. Being surrounded by 4 luxury walls and not being able to do anything without your husband monitoring your every move, has lead to extremely tiring days with a continues repetition of what you were doing the day before. You threw your book on the small coffee side table on you right as you huffed. "I'm just so bored Vincent." You plopped yourself on your back as you stared at the blank ceiling. The sound of pen hitting paper stopping for just a second. A few seconds of silence enveloped the room. You felt your palms getting sweaty. 'Oh no did i say something to trigger him?' You questioned yourself as the silence only lasted longer. But the sound of Vincent writing again made you heave a sigh in relieve. "I suppose your days have been looking a tad bit bland yes, why don't you take our sons for a walk?" You shot up, your vision going a bit blurry from the fast movement you just made. Did you hear that right? You were allowed to go outside? Without him? You looked at him with uncertainty in your eyes. "Are you serious?" You hesitantly asked. He looked up from his paperwork and stared you death in the eye. "Yes, i am. Now go before i change my mind." He smiled slightly at you as you immediately stood up. "No! i will go right now." Not even the fastest runner could compare with the speed you flew out of that door. Your face lighting up at the fresh air and bright sunlight that was waiting for you. "Be back in 2 hours! I do expect a reward when you get back!" You heard him yell from the study, but you weren't planning on ever returning.
On your way to the front door, you ran past the head butler Tanaka. "Oh wait Tanaka!" You couldn't contain your excitement as you rambled at him to get the twins, and ready them for a walk. He was skeptical at first, but as soon as you said he could check the information by Vincent, he nodded and went on his way to do as you wished.
When you reached the door, you slipped on your white patent leather shoes and reached for your cloak that was hanging neatly by the door, barely touched. You were now waiting by the door, eager to pull that damned handle down. You spotted your two sons and Tanaka walking over to you, the twins beaming with happiness.
"Here are they. Have a safe walk miss Phantomhive. I will see you in two hours." Tanaka bowed down at you politely as the twin grabbed your hands in theirs. "Thank you, i'll see you then!" And with that, Ciel pulled down the handle to open the door. He pulled you outside as the younger twin calmly walked next to you, almost hugging your side. The sound of shoes hitting gravel filled you with utter happiness as you basket in the sunlight you were getting. The fresh air filling your nostrils like freshly baked bread.
"I am so happy daddy finally let us go on a walk with you, but we had to make the promise to keep you safe!" The oldest of the two said, an annoyingly cute smile plastered on his face. "He told us, as if we wouldn't already keep you safe." The younger one scoffed. You laughed at their antics. "Well my knights in shining armors! Why don't we go to the harbor! i really want to see the sea." You smiled down at them as they nodded eagerly. If luck was on your side, you could sneak on a ship and just sail far, far away from this hellhole. unbeknownst to you, a navy haired man had just ordered his butler to grab his coat for him, the reason for it being that he wanted to go on a nice two hour walk.

The chill February air was softly caressing your skin. Your cheeks were tinted due the cold along with your red colored nose. Snow covered the streets with its white glow. Your feet were gliding over the icy ground; your brown boots not giving enough grip to walk properly on the sidewalk of London. A snicker escaped your husband’s lips as you squeezed his arm again to prevent yourself from falling face first on the ground “Don’t laugh at me Vincent.” You sneered at him, regaining your walking position and pretending you didn’t glide away for the umpteenth time. Vincent turned his head to look at you, an amused smile stretching across his lips. He was clearly enjoying the fact you had to rely on him this whole walk. “Don’t be like that darling. I think It’s endearing to see you totter like a just born penguin.” You looked up at him, your [E/C] eyes turning into slits as you pursed your lips. “You aren’t funny. You gave me these slippery boots on purpose, didn’t you?” you interrogated him. He chuckled and turned his head to look forward again.
“Now why would I do that? It’s valentine’s day after all, the day of love. It would be cruel of me to buy you useless shoes on a special day like this.” He answered you and to be honest, you could never tell when he was lying and when not. You sighed at his response, knowing it would be a bad idea to question his ‘love’ further. You slipped again; a shriek leaving your mouth as your arm slipped from Vincent’s. Time seemed to slow down for a bit as you felt gravity pulling you down, but the universe loves you as much as it hates you; one slender arm wrapped itself around your middle, preventing you from hurting your behind on the hard street. You gasped as your heartrate had spiked up by 100, white puffs of smoke leaving your lips as your breathing became ragged. “Careful sweetheart.” The shit eating grin of your husband made you wish he didn’t save you and instead let you fall and break your neck on the stone. He was still holding you in one arm as he leaned forward a bit, his reddish nose touching yours. Even though you were already cold, his touch made you shiver. “Didn’t the exact same thing happened when we meet for the first time?” You rolled your eyes at his remark. If you didn’t fell over that stupid crate of apples, you wouldn’t be in this situation right now. “No.” Was all you had to say before gripping his scarf and helping yourself regain balance, making the navy haired man stumble forward a bit. Now it was your turn to laugh at his flabbergasted expression. “Come on Vincent, I am actually genuinely excited to see what you had planned for us today.” You turned around and walked away, hearing the quick thumping of your husband’s boots coming after you. “This was the last time you’ll dodge my kisses darling.” He stated before intertwining your hand with his again and putting them in his pocket. You hummed at this, knowing he wasn’t joking about it. You still were pretty excited for the surprise. He didn’t take you out that much. Most days your were locked up in the master bedroom, only being able to read and draw. Half of the time you would look out the window and imagine yourself just freely running through the grass fields that stretched over the lands of the earl. “We’re almost there, just around this corner.” Vincent broke your line of thoughts as he lead you to a small pond. You awed at the winter wonder land that surrounded it. Around the pond were many trees, each covered in thick snow, you could see some icicles hanging from some of them. The sun shone through the branches, giving the pond a mystical glow. You tumbled a bit as he pulled you over to it, your feet sinking ankle deep into the snow surrounding the little pond. “Vincent what are you doing?” You questioned him as he sat down into the snow. You raised your brows as he pulled out two pair of ice skated from the little bag he had strapped on his back. “Come on, put them on.” He didn’t answer your question, but it was pretty clear what the two of you were going to do. You complied and sat down with him. He handled you the skates, before binding his around his boots. You copied his actions as your butt slowly began freezing for sitting on the snow for too long. “Understand now why I gave you those boots?” He stated in a matter-of-fact tone. You shook your head, before tying the laces around your shoes. Vincent stood up and slowly made his way onto the ice. You got up after making sure the skates were tied securely around your feet. You waddled to the pond, your husband already gliding a bit; waiting for you. You steadily placed your skates on the ice, you didn’t dare to move as you slowly slid over the ice. Your eyes grew big as you didn’t know what to do next, you hadn’t ice skate in forever and the feeling of standing on frozen water again was foreign. “Need help?” Vincent skit up from behind you, gracefully gliding in front of you. You huffed as he stretched out his hand. “No, I got this.” You answered as you gently pushed his hand away and began moving your legs. Vincent held up his arms as if he was admitting defeat. “Whatever you say
darling.” You were in utter concentration as you began to get into it at a slow pace. You were now gliding over the pond without trouble, a small smile placing itself on your lips at the small victory. Vincent watched you in adoration. He knew this would be the perfect place to take for a valentines date. He began skating next to you, absolutely basking in your little giggles as you almost slipped away. “Race you Vincent.” Was the only warning you gave him as you gained speed. You laughed as he called your name. Suddenly feeling all childish an giddy again, just like the first time the two of you met. Vincent stared at your slowly receding form and smiled as an idea popped up in his head. You were still skating like a mad man as you turned around to look for your husband, but he was nowhere in sight. You stopped moving and let your skates glide further over the ice as you furrowed your brows. This wasn’t another test was it? You questioned yourself. You turned your head back to see if he had caught up with you yet, but there was not a single soul. You looked forward again; doubting on what to do now. And when you registered your surroundings again, your husband stood before you out of nowhere. A scream erupted from your throat as you were skating into him at full speed; making you both have a nasty meeting with the hard ice. Vincent let out a groan as you face planted in his chest. “Got you.” He murmured. You whimpered at the impact of your body hitting his. “Was that really necessary Vincent?!” You groaned as you pulled yourself off of him. You weren’t in any extreme pain luckily. You just had the nasty side affect of the adrenaline leaving your body and the whiplash of the fall entering it. Vincent slowly sat up right, holding his hand to his head. “Of course it was, how else could I catch you?” He retorted, trying to grin at you, but the pain was clear on his face. “You are an idiot Vincent Phantomhive.” You muttered as you untied your skates. “I am your idiot.” You grimaced at his words. Your idiot. You stood up, skates in hand. “Come on, take your skates off, otherwise you’ll never make it back to the mansion.” He nodded at your words as he complied to your request. Soon the two of you were walking back to the Phantomhive manor; the sun setting before the two of you. Vincent held your hand as you held the bag with the ice-skates. He was humming a soft tune as he walked straight ahead. “Today was fun. If you keep this up I might take you out more.” He broke the comfortable silence that was in between the two of you, you wished he kept it that way. “Oh, yeah I would like that.” His words didn’t really register in your head as your lips tucked downwards. He pulled on your arm gently, you lifted your eyes upwards to meet his soft gaze. “I’m glad I married you [Y/N] Phantomhive. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me.” You stopped your movements, looking at him with wide eyes. You didn’t know how to respond to this. You knew you had to say something back, but nothing came up. Vincent let go of your hand as he stood in front of you, he blocked the sun with his figure as he loomed over you. “Why can’t you just act like this every day.” You whispered, still holding eye contact with him. He raised a brow at you as he opened his mouth. “Whatever do you mean?” He questioned as he leaned closer to you, holding his hand under your chin. “Like this Vincent, soft and sweet and caring. Not aggressive, obsessive and forceful. Treating me like some pet. Why did you have to change?” You grabbed his wrist, desperate for him to just spit it out. His eyes darkened and in a split second his soft touch became a grip of iron. A whine escaped your lips at the sudden change. His fingers digging into your cheeks. “It’s for your own good dear, you know that. Outside of the walls of our home is a dangerous world, that only I can protect you from. Who knows what predator is waiting for you, waiting to attack you—” He brought your face even closer, making you stand on your tippy toes as venom dripped from his voice. “—I can’t even
stand the thought of you leaving my sight.” He let you go and you stumbled back, your hands automatically grabbing at the spot where he just held you. This was definitely going to bruise. He sighed and put a hand on his head, furrowing his eyebrows together. “Let’s just go darling, we had a busy day and I am tired.” You had tears in your eyes as he stuck out his hand for you to grab. When you hesitated for a second, he grabbed your hand and pulled your forward. “You know, I loved you Vincent. I did, but you have only yourself to blame for me falling out of love with you.” You had the courage to speak back to him, pride swelling up inside of you as you yanked your hand away from his and kept walking. He stopped, just for split second, and all the courage, bravery, hope everything you felt, sank into your boots as he started walking next to you again. No smile, not even a frown on his face and that’s when you knew this day wasn’t going to end well. You should’ve just kept your big mouth shut and let him enjoy manhandling you. “You’re going to hold my hand now and I’ll forget what you said. We’ll discuss this at home dear. I’ve been too lenient with you.” His tone of voice held no emotion at all, but something about it was creeping you out. A chill went up your spine as you obeyed and grabbed his hand. You knew you had just lost all your privileges of going outside or even being alone. The best thing you could do was to shut up and do anything he says without a squeak. It was horrible, you crying into the cushions of the king sized bed, your body being sore and bruises forming all over. One of your ankles was definitely sprained and you were sure your neck was bleeding. Your hands were bound to the bed post as you refused to get in bed with him. And all he did to comfort you was saying this will only happen again if you misbehaved. You despised Valentine’s day from that day on.

Where it all began
The air is still hot and the sun is still shining brightly even with the cold and rainy autumn days nearing, Summer was still clinging to the small bit of time it had left. You are fiercely enjoying the warm days as your white summer dress was flowing with the cold breeze that made the warmth a bit more bearable. You had the biggest smile on your face as you walked through the sea of people; happy to leave your lonely countryside house a bit and explore the market to its fullest. You were a flower farmer and loved being it, but being a single woman at your age was quite bothersome at moments. You were alone most of the time, being surrounded by rows and rows of still blooming flowers. The colder days were nearing and you had to make some accommodations to keep the flowers alive and well. The coming months would be troublesome, but they paid well as flowers were hard to get in those months and nobles were practically overwhelming you with money to have some color and happiness in their homes.
AN: Manga spoiler! The one in the story that the mom is calling Ciel is R!Ciel, i do not know O!Ciel's real name so i refer to him as: youngest, other twin, shy one etc etc
You knew how easily Vincent got jealous. It was one of the reasons why he didn't let you out of the house that often, but you hadn't expected that it could go this far.
Vincent would be gone every now and then for business trips, but not for one or two days. No he would be gone for weeks or even months! Leaving you with the twins and butlers and the command to stay put, but you're name wouldn't be [Y/N] Phantomhive if you disobeyed the devil himself every so often.
So of course this time was no different; The head butler had escorted you to the master bedroom after letting you put the twins to bed. He had bid you his goodnight and you mumbled a small 'you too' before pretending to fall asleep.
It was 3 AM by now as you tip-toed through the confusing halls you had gotten to know like the back of your hand. Adrenaline rushed through you as you reached for the door handles in front of you.
The doors opened with a small 'click' sound as you stepped into the fresh night air. You had no time in taking it all in as Tanaka would be checking up on you any minute now and he surely would notice that the [Y/N] you had put in your bed wasn't breathing. I mean what could you expect from a pile of pillows being stashed under a blanket.
But before you could even take a step of the stone stairs, you could feel something tucking at your jacket. A huge sigh left your lips as another escape attempt failed horribly.
"Mommy, you know daddy doesn't want you to roam around at night. especially outside." A young boy's voice made you turn around.
"Ciel what are you doing out of bed?" You crouched down and looked your son in the eyes; They looked too much like his.
"nu uh don't try and scold me momma, you shouldn't be out of bed too." He folded his arms, just like his daddy when he scolded you. another sigh left your lips as you looked at the 9 year old and stood up.
"What if we forget about what happened and none of us get in trouble huh?" You forced yourself to smile at him as he grabbed on of your hands and pulled you back inside where his brother was waiting. He didn't really dare to go outside; afraid to get sick again.
"No, daddy had warned us you would use your mean mommy skills on us, but they won't work!" He told you while he puffed his chest a little; yes he was definitely a child of Vincent.
The other toddler had grabbed your left hand and squeezed it tight; afraid you might run away again.
"We will keep you company for tonight mom! we'll guard you until daddy comes back from work!" The oldest of the two cheered silently as he kept dragging you to your bedroom.
Knowing it would be of no use to argue with them and alarm Tanaka about your shenanigans, you decided to just hum at him and let your feet lead the way.
They climbed on the king sized bed and you took of your jacket, boots and dress to reveal your laced night gown. You didn't have much time to change out of it when you left the room.
As the twins got comfortable on each side of the bed, you slowly climbed in between them.
"Goodnight mom, love you." The navy haired demons said simultaneously. You just hummed in response and closed your eyes. You could literally just bang your head against a table right now as the two of them locked themselves around your arms and legs like shackles.
Before you knew it, sleep took over you and dragged you away from the real world.
When the clock struck 5:05 AM a tired looking man entered his home and dropped his bags to the floor with a heavy sigh. a few butlers and maids picked up his luggage and one butler took off his coat for him as he slowly began to walked up the stairs, longing for his own bed and the person in it. A small smile made it's way on his face when he opened the doors to his shared bedroom. He walked towards the bed with heavy steps, the only thing on his mind was to touch the smooth skin of his wife.
But when he got closer, he saw that you weren't alone. An annoyed grunt left his mouth as he saw his two sons clinging to you. Immediately knowing what had probably happend.
"Wakey wakey sunshine, your husband is home~" He singsonged in your ear. You huffed a few times and stirred a little as you slowly opened you eyes. you were met with two half lidded blue ones and groaned.
"Hello Vincent." You said with a bored tone. He walked over to the closet and slowly began undressing and putting on his sleeping wear.
"Well that is no way to greet your husband after almost one month of not seeing him." He retorted back with that same teasing tone as always.
You held up your head to look over at the clock on your dresser and groaned more audibly. "It's five in the morning, what do you expect." You said; plopping your head back down in the soft cushions.
The twins must have woken up by your constant moving as they slowly sat up, you sat up too as laying down had no use now and moved your stiff limbs a little. They really had a grip of iron.
"That's a bit harsh love, don't you think?" He pulled one of the boys on his lap and gave him a kiss on his forehead.
"...daddy?" The toddler softly mumbled in your husbands chest as he tried to open his eyes more.
"Yes it's me, did mommy behave well?" The other twin had crawled over you and settled himself against Vincent's side.
"We caught her outside, but took her back to bed and now we're having a sleep over." He said while hugging his father's side. You glared at the boy and then at Vincent. "Oh did you now?" He responded while grinning back at you.
The twins hummed in response. Those little traitors.
"I am afraid we have to cut the sleep over short though, daddy wants to have some private time with mommy. He hasn't seen her in a long time." He looked between the twins. Your breath got stuck in your throat. 'private time' never meant something good.
"But daddyyyy." Ciel whined and looked at Vincent with tired puppy eyes. You could see him getting more agitated by the second, you smiled as an idea popped up in your head.
"Ciel, no means n-" "Oh come on Vincent~" You interrupted him and hugged the little boy from behind. "We all missed you so much, wouldn't it be fun to just get cozy and sleep in till noon?" You mimicked Ciel's pout and puckered out lip as he nodded in agreement with you. Vincent glared at you, he knew what game you were playing, but he didn't have the energy to finish it. "Fine, since mommy wants it so bad." Ciel cheered silently as you clapped your hands in fake excitement.
Vincent put the other boy down again and you settled the older twin next to him. You were still in the middle as Vincent pulled you into his side from the left. You could hear him grumble some words under his breath.
"Don't think you're getting away with it darling." He whispered in your ear as you quietly messed around with the younger twin.
"We'll see." You said with a little giggle as the boy poked you in your stomach again.
"Of course they get all your attention, it's not like you husband has been gone for little less than a month."
You stopped tickling your son for a second and turned your head like an owl, to be met with a closed eyed Vincent. A hint of a pout was tucking at his lips.
You giggled a little.
"Vincent are you serious right now?"
"What."
"These are our sons."

"What do you mean 'and'? Why are you jealous of our toddlers?"
He grumbled again and pulled you closer, The toddlers in question already fast asleep in such a short notice. You sighed again as you realized that you were married to an idiot.

Cold. That was the first thing you felt. The freezing air biting at your skin, it was as if a hundred little knives penetrated through your very being. You were uncomfortable to say the least. The big black blob you found yourself in swallowing all of your senses, only the frigid temperature breaking through.
You weren’t sure if your eyes were open or closed due to the lack of light. You moved your head around trying to figure out where you were and how you got here, but even trying to activate the muscle in your head was an impossible task. The thing that swallowed you messed with your mind and body.
If I could make a request with your Vincent post! Perhaps you could do one where the reader gets incredibly ill, like hospital stay I'll and just barely pulls through. I'd love to see how the boys and their dad respond to a situation like that, one they have no control over.
so, I just assumed you wanted it when the boys are older (around 16), because there is quite a difference if the boys were younger (around 5 or so). I am a bit too lazy to write for both ages so let’s say they are older and therefore wiser, but also more possessive and lovesick (platonic). It also has effect on Vincent, if the twins were younger, he would be more stressed. His boys can’t live without a mother, now he must look after them all the time and has to tell them off more for wanting to visit their mom. If they are older, he can give them more work to run the business and they would also know what to do if something happens to mom. They also understand why they can’t cling to their mother; they could catch the disease you have if they do.

Vincent was anxious. You had been sick for more than two weeks already and it didn’t seem like you were getting any better. He had called the best doctors of London to see what was wrong with you, if you had any kind of tropic disease, what medicines were best for you, but none of them knew, none of them worked. He had snapped at them for not doing their job right, yelling they should go back to med school if they couldn’t even prescribe the right kind of antidotes.
The mansion had returned to its usual emptiness, the emptiness you filled when he married you. It was quiet, everyone was on edge. The boys had been more closed off, spending their time whispering to one another or guarding over their mother when she was sleeping, making sure her breathing was regular. Ciel jumped to your side every time your breathe even hitched the slightest. The younger one held your hand every time he was with you, constantly checking your heartbeat. You were too weak to even talk to them at times. If you didn’t feel like eating, they had to force some soup down your throat, which you couldn’t even keep in for more than five minutes.
You were exhausted every second of the day, no matter how many hours you slept, when you woke up you could close your eyes again right after. Your skin was clammy all the time, even though you felt like you were freezing. You couldn’t keep any food in your system for long periods, your body rejected everything you ingested.
The thought of dying had come up at some point when you couldn’t even sit up straight anymore, it was shortly after the second week had passed and a doctor had left your chambers when Vincent lashed out at him. You gave the man a sympathetic look before he left.
Vincent put his hand on his face and dragged it down, eyebags were weighing heavy under his eyelids. He wasn’t allowed to sleep next to you in case your disease was infectious. That took a toll on him. For you it was quite pleasant, your bed had never felt so spacious, less suffocating. This was the freest you had ever been in your life. Vincent and the twins were only allowed to visit you every hour to check up on you, but they weren’t allowed to stay more than a few minutes since you had to rest allot. Not even Tanaka was allowed to see you.
You rested your head on the cushion under you, your limbs feeling like cement blocks and your muscles stiff as a board. You felt the bed dip from beside you, a soft creak leaving the wood underneath. Vincent caressed your cheek with his gloved hand. You gazed up at him, his expression unreadable.
”What are you thinking about?” You asked him, your voice hoars even though you didn’t speak more than five sentences a day. Vincent shook his head and switched his hand from your face to hold yours. Outside from the doctors that came to visit you ever so often, Vincent and the boys were your only form of outside contact, if you didn’t talk to them, you felt like you were going to go mad. You nudged him with the bit of power you had left.
”Hey, come on now. You know I’ll keep pushing you until you talk.” You smiled at him; he returned the gesture. “Oh, and if I know.” Sarcasm was clear in his voice. You gave him a few more seconds before he spoke up again. “I am just worried about you; you aren’t making any progress.” You were taken aback, not by his words, but by the expression he made. His eyes were glazed over, his lips downturned and his eyebrows furrowed. You had never seen your husband so distraught, so vulnerable. It looked like he could break any second.
He squeezed your hand before kissing it. “I spend every second of my time with you, trying to protect you from the outside world and now I can’t even get you to drink soup.” A tear escaped from his eye; you didn’t know what to say when you saw the droplet rolling down his cheek. Never in your life have you seen Vincent cry and it scared you. He had done everything in his power to keep you by his side, you were afraid of what he would do if you died. It may seem crazy, but deep down you knew he would find a way to make sure not even death could take the two of you apart.
A knock was coming from the door. Ciel opened it, a tray of food resting in his hand.
”Father, Tanaka is requesting your presence in your office.” Vincent wiped away the tear with his hand before standing up, giving you a quick kiss on your forehead before leaving. Ciel let his father leave the room before closing the door, his twin walking right behind him.
”You look beautiful today, mother” The younger one said before taking his place on a stool beside you. You laughed meekly. “That is what you said yesterday. I look like absolute shit, and you know it.” [redacted] gasped. “Language mother! And that is simply not true, you are gorgeous, no matter what.” Ciel placed the tray on the bed, he hooked his arm behind your back and helped you sit up straight. You smiled at your youngest son. “I am dying, I can say whatever I want.” The word left your lips without a second thought. To be honest, you didn’t even notice you said it before Ciel’s hand connected with your cheek. Making a horrid sound as it did. A sharp gasp left your mouth as [redacted] stopped your body from falling over to the side. Tears sprung into your eyes as you looked up to your oldest son, his eyes were full of fury, his breathing was ragged. You were gripping onto the younger twin like your life depended on it. “Ciel!” He yelled, you were still in a state of shock as you stared into the eyes of your son, they looked too much like his.
”Do not ever say that again! You hear me!” Ciel bellowed, you coward more into your younger son as he wraps his arms around you protectively. “That is enough, Ciel! She’s already weak, don’t make it worse.” He snapped at his brother. Ciel sat down on the bed, putting a hand through his hair, he was trying to calm himself down. “Mama, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. That word just brings me so much fear and pain. I can’t lose you.” He reached out to caress the red spot he just swatted. You flinched away before he could even reach it. Ciel bit his lip. “Mama, please—” You didn’t let him finish his sentence. “Get out.” Your voice was barely above a whisper. You crawled out of your son’s arms. Both looked at you confused. “Mother what are you saying?” [redacted] questioned as he tried to hold your hand, but you pulled your arm away. “I said get out.” You looked between both your sons. In two weeks, you had never felt so energetic, so healthy. Ciel stood up. “I said I was sorry, you know I don’t like hurting you, but you brought it onto yourself.” You cringed at his manipulation tactic; your other son stood up as well. “I don’t care!
