Trungles Nguyen Tarot
You guyssssss, I need the Marigold Tarot so bad.
kind of long post, but help?
I recently got a new tarot deck and I was very antsy to ask a question about my relationship with someone, but I didnt want that to be the first question I asked because I wanted to be more familiar with the cards first. So I read through the book, looked at the art, got to know them, and then a few days (today) later asked a generic question.
I laid out my personal 4 card spread. I meant to only do this reading today and that was it…but, being the impatient creature I am, reshuffled the cards to ask the question I really wanted to ask. I pulled the cards without looking, as my mind began to wander. When I looked down, I saw that I had someone flipped the last card face down, havung drawn it from the bottom of the deck. But more importantly… the first three cards were the same I had just drawn. I checked the top of the deck for what it would have been had I not mindlessly drawn from the bottom and the fourth card would have exactly completed my initial drawing. Despite a full minute of shuffling and deck cutting, I ended up with the same cards.
I am still relatively new to tarot so here are my questions.
- Was it significant that I drew from the bottom of the deck? Should the top card have really been in my drawing, or was the bottom card what I was meant to end up with?
- Is it possible that even though I asked a different question the first time, the cards gave me the answer to what I had actually been wanting to ask right off the bat?
Hello! Good questions ^_^
1) I usually pull from the bottom of the deck when either I feel I should intuitively or when I want to work with “shadow cards” - cards that are representing the more hidden and/or negative aspects of myself or of the answer. For example, I was doing a reading for someone and they asked what they should know about themselves. I pulled three cards from the top of the deck, which were very positive, but they pushed and asked for negative things about themselves so I pulled three more cards from the bottom of the deck.
But that’s intentional. If you subconsciously pulled from the bottom of the deck, listen to that instinct and intuitive sense. You probably did that for a reason.
2) If you were asking for a general reading, it’s quite possible the cards wanted to answer the question you really meant to ask. It wouldn’t surprise me at all, in fact. It’s still possible the cards answered your question you wanted to ask even if you had direction with your first reading.
So yes, it’s very possible that your cards answered the question you wanted right off the bat.
I hope that helps!
thanks so much for answering! ❤
