THE RINGS OF POWER, SEASON 2 | Morfydd Clark as Galadriel
So, when it comes to TROP Galadriel, I firmly believe that she swore an oath to herself, invoking Eru, to destroy Sauron.
And like I said in my post about the Oath of Fëanor, invoking Eru was a huge mistake as now, you are at the mercy of Eru. You may get your wish, but at what cost? And you may never get your wish if Eru doesn't deem it so.
Galadriel implied that she 'cannot stop' hunting Sauron, which reminds me heavily of Fëanor's sons, and the idea that the Oath continues to call for them. Because they didn't spend every hour of every waking moment hunting the silmarils. They had their own kingdoms and did other things. But the Oath was like an itch they could not scratch.
Galadriel became so invested in hunting Sauron that she forsook her dreams of having her own kingdom. Didn't go looking for Celeborn. Damaged her relationships with her friends and kin. Her oath even, according to the show, cost the lives of other Elves.
And in the end, she became so invested in doing what would save and protect the light of the world, that the very light she wanted to protect blinded her when she quite literally stumbled upon Sauron himself. And that blindness caused her to be deceived.
In the end, even, Galadriel does not get her wish in defeating Sauron. She is not the one to do it, but she still 'passes her test' and may return to Valinor from exile.

The Riddle of Strider
Memories of Ravenhill
There is a high wind sweeping Ravenhill. Listen closely; the echoes of voices past are caught in it, a reflection of the blood that once dyed its ice in crimson. The names of those fighting are legend now and only the oldest still remember. Mithril flowers bloom at the spots of death, silver petals pretending a pureness that has vanished long ago.
Three flowers in your hand, with seven petals each.

You are in the house of Elrond. And it is ten o'clock in the morning, on October the twenty-fourth, if you want to know.
Happy October the twenty-fourth!
