In the kingdom of Mycaea, magic is outlawed. A mass purge decades ago had wiped out the majority of sorcerers and witches, though a sect of magicians still practice in the Eras District.
Surrounding the kingdom is the Forbidden Forest, which is blocked off by a wall that surrounds all of Mycaea. The forest is full of magic and color, being home to a vast amount of magical creatures and the originators of magic, fairies.
One of the Eras District witches is Autumn, the last practicing Light witch alive, who runs an apothecary at the Pier alongside shapeshifter Bon. Autumn is a very powerful witch, though her powers are dormant.
Zaveta is an extremely powerful fairy from the forest, but she has been in a deep sleep for almost sixty years alongside her lifelong friend and protector Demitrius.
Autumn has been ordered by the king to travel into the forest to find a secret treasure for the kingdom; if she declines, the king threatens to enact another purge, specifically on the Eras District. She is the ideal huntsman as she is very believed to be very powerful.
Upon entering the forest, Autumn finds her powers have ‘woken up’. Accidentally using her Light magic, she wakes Zaveta from her deep sleep. Despite Demitrius’s warnings, Zaveta promises to help Autumn and Bon find the secret treasure that they seek.
The group begin their search, but signs begin to point to somewhere they never expected, and what lies there may ruin everything.
