Picky eater was the understatement of the year. It wasn’t all the time that Harley decided that she didn’t want anything that was offered to her but he supposed that today was a new day— probably the start of a long line of random days where she wanted nothing. Seth nearly rolls his eye at the idea that someone else could probably get her to eat something that Seth had already tried. It probably wasn’t inaccurate but it was fucking annoying. “Apparently she decided now that she’s less than a month from bein’ one it’s time to be a pain in dad’s ass,” he remarks, looking at his daughter. She’d already grown so much over the past few months of being in her life and that in and of itself was wild. Now, her personality was starting to shine through even more and that was fun— but also annoying. “I didn’t have any to try it,” he says, mostly to himself. “That ain’t in this aisle so no, not yet. We were tryin’ damn near everythin’ down here. Your kid do this shit?” he wonders.

“Almost one? Wow!” Charlotte exaggerated her facial expressions, turned towards Harley with a small welcoming wave before she looked back at Seth and spoke normally, laughing lightly under her words “Probably not her exact reason. But that’s okay. We all have picky days. My kid too.” Seth seemed extremely peeved, and Lottie didn’t want to make his mood worse, just try and help and then be on her way. “I think there are some on the other side of this row.” She motioned before opening her purse and digging around “I might have some you can try – just so you don’t have to keep opening and paying for things she won’t want.” She smiled weakly, a few moments later holding out the crinkled snack bag with a small handful of puff cereal left in it. “My daughter didn’t finish them the other day.”
