There's already a theme going in the Amazing Digital Circus about "having the particulars of your existence being stripped away by a world where you're forced to exist as a simplistic symbol" but I'm drunk and I'm just really upset about the reveal that Caine knows how to play piano, and it's really interesting when someone has a musical instrument skill, but we also only learned it about 15 minutes before he was unceremoniously obliterated, and now I'm wondering what other things about him we never learned because nobody was fucking interested in asking him about it

Coming back to this post again after the finale and getting the revelation that JAX also knows how to play the piano, and having it be treated as a symbol of internal vulnerability and nuance that was intentionally hidden from everyone due to fear and trauma is hitting me with an additional 2 x 4 today.

Jax and Caine are very much opposite sides of a coin in which defensive behaviors that result from trauma can lead to people behaving badly, but I can't help but notice how one was continually and consistently given grace and outreach over and over again in spite of their determination to refuse to engage and open up, while another was relentlessly avoided even though they were basically begging to be acknowledged and validated on a daily basis, and had to create a whole convoluted game scenario for someone to even ask if he had hobbies at all.

I acknowledge TADC as a completed story, but one additional plotline that I could get interested in is "Caine realized he fucked up and is trying to do better, but unfortunately ends up overcorrecting for his past misdeeds by lessening himself in a way that kind of puts him and his 'health' in danger, and the rest of the cast finally realizes they actually treated him pretty poorly from the start when they see him almost destroying himself for their comfort."

What if he just … stopped making anything of his own conception for an amount of time after his return? What if he just shuts down all of his own ideas for a while as a form of reactive overcorrection for what he did? What would it do to him? How long would it take the rest of the circus squad to realize that he hadn't come up with his own idea for anything in a while? Would they grasp the seriousness of what that could feel like emotionally for a person whose entire identity is centered around creativity?

★ as previously mentioned, they draw a lot together ! they make plenty of drawings for each other >w<

★ since she's a lot more low-energy, it might take more motivation or something she can sit and do instead since she doesn't really play much when she's regressing by herself,,, she absolutely loves to, especially pretend, but it'll take some time for her to match more of caine's energy,, ^^;

★ that being said, she REALLY loves the ball pit. and swings. and hiding in those tunnels and tube slides at the playground. give her a park/playground adventure (or even just somewhere on the grounds wink teehee) and she'll have a BLAST !!!!!!!!!

★ she has a real knack for making stuff for pretend out of cardboard n paper since she loves doing crafts ^w^ she'll always incorporate or play with whatever caine decides to conjure, but she also thinks he might like making stuff since he likes drawing so much :3

★ she once made a little scene with bees and flowers for him by opening one end of a carboard box and cutting out a hole in the opposite side to sort of look like a tv ^w^ probably one of her favorite crafts to make, even though she knows she doesn't need to

★ being for realsies with you she's super shy and blushy a lot cuz she thinks he's just so stinkin' CUUUUUUTE >w<

★ big huge fan of blocks all across the board. they make some awesome towers :3

★ most of the time, she does just push her toys into the middle as a way to let him know she's sharing since she doesn't talk all that much,,, ^^;

★ they also make really comfy forts together,, if built in her room, it'll stay up for at least a week or so.

★ tbh she shares (or offers to share, at least) almost everything with him

★ back to the park and playground stuff real quick, she LOVES climbing. she's not always great at it,,, but she loves it

★ she tries to collect toys and things she thinks he'll like to surprise him ^w^ she knows they can both just summon whatever, now, but she already likes finding things from adventures,,, almost every cutie little bee thing he's put into an adventure has been returned to him by her paw :3

★ she collects blocks, plushies, lps, toy pets, and shakers/plastic keys the most,,

★ they once made a big ol' system of toy train tracks that spanned a good chunk of the lobby,, good thing he can clean things up with a snap!

★ well, actually, it,,, started as a railway system,,, n then they brought in buildings and plushies and lps and then it became this whole big town project that stayed in the lobby for a LONGGGGGGGG time,, starry would just come in to sit n stare at it for a while sometimes.

★ caine has the CRAZIEST play food collection. they've become gourmet chefs :3 5 star restaurant to all the plushies in the circus :3

★ starry needs a paci or teether almost all the time or else she'll start putting stuff in her mouth,, ^^;

★ she wishes she had more space to keep the houses she's made for her lps and the toy pets,,, maybe someday -w-

★ king and queen of comfy cozy nests in nap city !!!!!! one of those big dog beds, tons of blankets and pillows,,,

★ unsure if he'd like kipper the dog but she thinks about watching it with him sometimes,,

★ she tries to keep close to him but not too close to cling,, she'd prefer to be close to him, but often times gets very shy about initiating unless they're napping together

bakugou feels so lost romantically and i'll never let that go. he never shrinks himself down for anyone else, he never forces himself into a box to make himself more likeable. it is not a natural thing for him to do. he feels things for you he does not know what to do with. and he doesnt want you OR anyone else to know that. having to put on a face like he isn't feeling some awful and weird way towards you is NOT NATURAL to him, he does not like it !!

I’m also thinking about Bakugou coming to you for comfort without knowing why he’s coming to you in the first place.

Like you know how you can just tell someone is a safe space inherently? Or how when you’re scared to just a second you subconsciously move toward the person that makes you feel safer?

I think that happens. He’s frustrated to the point of almost tears one day, and he doesn’t even know where his feet are dragging him til he’s at your apartment and ringing the bell.

You two don’t talk much, run with the same crowds, mutual friends and when you all hang out, he’s not terrible to chat with. So it’s a leeeetle weird when you open the door and see him there.

You’re honestly kinda used to it. People seek you out or find themselves coming to you a lot but…you never expected Bakugou to be one of them. Still though he’s a guy who trusts his own instincts completely and if they brought him here well…you’d be an asshole to tell him to leave.

He doesn’t say anything at first, just stands there in your doorway quietly. You can see his fists clenched, the indentation of the frown lines on his forehead though he’s not frowning now. He looks sorta…tired.

It only takes a few minutes for you to readjust to the situation. You point over your shoulder into your apartment, “I just made a pot of coffee, want some?”

Bakugou blinks, looks at you like he’s going to say no and turn on his heel and leave, but the you see the resignation in his eyes and he sighs deeply as he shoves his hands in his pockets.

“Yeah. Coffee’s good. And uhh..can I…tch…can I come in and vent or whatever?”

You step aside to give him access to your home, the light pouring out from the door is warm, inviting, comforting, exactly what he needs. You smile friendly at him, an action that makes his heart flutter but that he won’t think about again until he’s lying in bed staring at the ceiling in the dark.

“Hmm if it’s venting I’ll get the cheesecake out of the fridge too and we can be like the Golden Girls,” you say playfully.

He rolls his eyes, but chuckles in gratitude at the attempt to lighten the mood.

“Tch…yeah sure…but only if I get to be Sophia,” he mumbles as he graciously enters your apartment.

I am apparently not done thinking about this lol.

Bakugou walks into your apartment, finds the couch easily and makes himself comfortable which he finds strangely easy to do. He's visited Kirishima and Kaminari's place multiple times and he's just recently got to a point where he could lean back and relax at their place.

But your couch must have some fucking mojo in it cuz as soona s he sits down his body sinks into the cushions and he feels calm. You've got a candle burning, eucalyptus and mint. That could be why he feels so calm right now.

In the kitchen he can hear the clinking of dishes and you opening your fridge. He takes the time to observe all the little things around your place. The walls are full of pictures of you and friends, there's a few framed pieces of art, all featuring the sun in some capacity hanging above the TV. The whole place feels as if it's bathed in a constant warm golden light.

The scent of fresh made coffee wafts over to him and he closes his eyes and inhales deeply. He momentarily thinks about the type of person you'd have to be to create such a nice comfortable space so effortlessly. Maybe it's your quirk--he knows it's not but it's easier to attribute it to a quirk than to admit he doesn't actually know at all.

"Which mug?" Your voice breaks through his thoughts and he turns to see you holding up two mugs. One is shaped like a gardening pot with a cheeky saying on it that reads "I heart Pot" the other is plain white mug with big black bold letters that reads "BIG PAPA".

Katsuki rolls his eyes, "You ain't got any others?" His heart flutters again when you giggle and shake your head.

"I do BUT these are funny, I have a sense of humor, and you need cheering up sooo pick one."

Katsuki huffs but points at the one that says "BIG PAPA" and tries to hide the way the tips of his ears get red when you say "Excellent choice."

He mutters a "Thanks" as you hand him the mug full of coffee. He takes a sip, momentarily surprised that you've fixed the coffee the way he prefers it. You come to sit on the couch next to him with your own mug in your hands.

Katsuki watches you with intrigue; paying more attention to your mannerisms, the way you move, the way you speak, the gentle way you handle everything. it's something he's never noticed about you before. Perhaps he's just never had the opportunity to.

As you sit back on the couch and fold your legs underneath you, you give him that friendly smile that fucks with his heart for the third time tonight and say

"Cheesecake has to unthaw for a bit so...you wanna tell me what's goin' on?'

and he’s…unpleasant, you find. this man that izuku immediately brings inside and sits by the stoked fire, who izuku feeds and tends to until he begins to come back around to himself. but you know he’s izuku’s beloved friend from childhood, you’ve heard so many stories of the two of them together, that you nod and acquiesce when izuku tells the man (bakugo, you learn quickly. the name kacchan is not yours to use) that he’ll stay with the two of you until he’s back on his feet.

it’s strange at first, having another man in the small, cozy life you and izuku have built together. bakugo is surly most days, quiet and keeping to himself, setting himself to whatever tasks izuku points him towards with steely diligence. he is polite to you, technically, in that he mostly acts as if you don’t exist, the bulk of what limited conversation he seems capable of directed to izuku by the fire late at night.

he’s helpful around the homestead, in truth, and that winter is the easiest you and izuku have experienced on that land for his help - but you know what izuku looks like when he’s in love (you’ve seen it in him every day since he first asked for your hand), so you know it when you see it in izuku’s expression when he looks at bakugo. the aching softness there in his eyes when he watches bakugo herd the rams into the lean-to before a storm, the way he leans close into bakugo’s space, their shared breath fogging, as they share a smoke from the tobacco pipe in the late evening hours.

it’s izuku who comes to you, when bakugo is away from the stead hunting. his expression torn, pained, as he holds you and cries into the crown of your head.

you ask if he loves you. he says yes, his voice thick with tears.

you ask if he loves bakugo. his shoulders shake and he doesn’t reply, his breath catching in his chest like he’ll suffocate from it.

you go to him two days later, pulling izuku aside, fighting back tears as you ask him if bakugo loves him, too. and izuku’s voice breaks, his body curling in like it aches with grief as he nods slowly and whispers brokenly, “sometimes - sometimes i think he does”

it takes you a week to approach izuku in private again. having spent your days weeping silently into your bedding, hiding the tears on your face as you scatter feed to the chickens and prepare evening suppers for the three of you.

bakugo is sleeping on his bedroll across the hut. he can probably hear what you whisper to izuku in the small space between you, but you don’t care. you kiss izuku tenderly, hands shaking, tears on your cheeks as you whisper to izuku that if he wants to - to have both of you…he can. he should.

and izuku just looks into your eyes, his own wide and watering in the faint light from the fire. whispering brokenly, softly that he can’t - he can’t ask that of you. but you draw him in and kiss him, and bakugo definitely hears when you pull him over you and take him inside with soft cry, but you pour yourself into izuku, then. kissing him. holding him as he takes you and drips fat, hot tears down onto your face. whispering to him that you want nothing more in your life than his happiness - that you won’t leave him as he finds it, whatever that may look like.

it’s weeks before you see any sign of change - when you come up the hill from washing clothes in the creek and see izuku pressing bakugo against the side of the lean-to and kissing him desperately. and you watch from your hidden distance and wait to feel your heart break at the sight of bakugo gasping softly and holding Izuku’s gaze for a long, heated moment before kissing him back with equal fervor, but you find, strangely, that it doesn’t. it beats and twists behind your ribs, but it doesn’t break.

bakugo comes to you the next morning when Izuku is out to gather wood. he stands stiffly in your peripheral, his hands shoved deep in his pockets. as disquieted as you’ve ever seen him as he gets your attention with a low clear of his throat.

“you’re fine with this?” he asks you, his voice that perpetual gravel scrape in the air

and you look at bakugo and exhale shakily, your hands stilling in the reed basket you’re mending. “do you love him?” you ask bakugo, your voice soft

and bakugo looks away at that. exhaling slowly, his hands balling where they’re shoved deep in his pockets. it’s a long, long moment before he replies softly, “i do.”

so you nod, swallowing thickly. “then…hold his heart, with me,” you tell bakugo with some effort. “it’s tender. it needs to be kept safe and warm.”

and bakugo looks at you then like he’s seeing you for the first time, his expression softening at the edges, and he swallows then, too. nodding, before he silently skulks away.

things change after that. it hurts and it doesn’t, and the three of you make it through winter learning this strange new life together. izuku dotes on you as he always has, finding you first in the morning and waking you with a kiss to your brow. works himself to the bone to provide for you when the nights get frigid and blustery, his work considerably eased with the addition of bakugo’s tireless effort.

it stops making your chest ache when you hear them some nights, panting and moaning softly as they move together across the hut, and by the time the air begins to warm with spring, you find yourself closing your eyes to the sound of it and pressing your legs together, working to keep your breathing steady in an imitation of sleep.

bakugo softens to you and you to him. joined first only by your shared devotion to izuku, you find yourself learning where to look to see the parts of bakugo that izuku loves so dearly. he takes your side in an argument with izuku one day in the spring, and you hear a soft huff of a barely audible laugh from him at something you say the following week. summer has just started to warm the air when he tells you in a quiet moment to call him katsuki and you nearly drop the bowl in your hands.

your bedrolls slowly migrate across the hut, moved by the motions of daily living more than anything deliberate, but by summer’s end, the three of you bed down nearly all together. izuku kisses and bites and makes love to you with bakugo sleeping just a foot away, and you no longer pretend to be asleep or to avert your eyes when izuku and bakugo groan softly and rut against each other at your side.

autumn comes and goes, the three of you drawing nearer and nearer, and then bakugo pulls you from frigid water and broken ice when you trust the river before you should. and he brings you back around in the hut beside a roaring fire, your bodies bare against each other as he whispers desperate, heated orders to you to breathe, to let him warm you, to let yourself shiver, its good, it means you’re coming back, and when izuku comes dashing into the hut an hour later when he returns from his hunt, he finds the two of you kissing slowly, tentatively beside the roaring fire

and it’s not perfect after that, but it is. the three of you become something greater than you ever were as two separate loves, and the world treats you with kindness as your hearts ache with devotion and love as the three of you find a happy life with each other after everything.

the sweet smell of fresh baked goods permeated through the kitchen as the warmth of the oven surrounded you like a warm and familiar hug. you and nana stand side by side, frozen in place as the two of you zone out at the tv you had moved to the counter. its screen plays an episode of a shoujo anime, one that nana had persuaded you to watch with her. 

you flinch when you realize you stuck your hand too far into the mixing bowl, your fingers slowly sinking into the freshly made dough instead of rolling it into balls like you were supposed to. 

a squeal leaves nana’s lips as she jumps up and down in excitement, hugging onto your arm with a grin. you glance back at the screen to see that the love interest had finally kissed the main character.

“it only took, what, twelve episodes?” you giggle, earning a huff and nudge from the pink-haired girl.

“hey, this is a special moment, okay! wasn’t it cute?”

“yes, yes. it was super cute,” you concede. “i really liked that one! you have good taste.” 

“i’m glad,” she turns her attention back down to the heart-shaped cake she was frosting. “...my interests can be a little weird, but i’m glad you like them.”

you turn to her curiously, noticing her strange change of tone and how the baked good in front of her suddenly was much more interesting than anything else in the room.

“i don’t think they’re weird.” you insist, attention drawn to how her tail anxiously flicked back and forth.

“i just mean most people think i’m kind of strange,” she says, waving her hand dismissively as if it were no big deal. “my hobbies aren’t really… normal.”

you wrinkle your nose, eyebrows furrowing.

“what’s “normal”, anyway?” nana’s round eyes flick back to you, her expression taken aback. “sounds boring.”

she lets out a quiet laugh suddenly, covering her mouth before looking down at the cake with a distant smile on her face.

“yeah, i guess i never really wanted to fit in anyways.”

the two of you continue to bake in comfortable silence, letting the soft hum of the tv fill your ears as you both focus on your tasks. the setting sun shines through the windows, casting an orange glow on both of your faces. when the episode ends, nana softly sets down her butter knife, turning to look at you. as your eyes meet hers, you’re shocked at the emotion you find in them, molten gold glistening as tears gather on the surface.

“i’m so glad you’re my friend,” lean hands reach out for yours, cupping them in an earnest show of appreciation. “i hope you know how much you mean to me.”

you squeeze her hands back, eyes widening as you try to think of a response to her sudden affection.

“i feel like i can really be myself around you. people have always brushed off my interests and called them silly, but you genuinely care. thank you.”

“of course, nana,” you pull her into a hug. “you’re one of the kindest and most interesting friends i’ve ever had.”

she sniffles and clears her throat, pulling from the hug to wipe away a stray tear that had fallen from her lashes.

“really?” her voice is small, tight with surprised uncertainty.

you tilt your head, giving her a soft smile.

“yeah… i actually was gonna say we should do this more often. you know, have sleepovers like this where we try out a new hobby we’re interested in.”

“really, really?!” her eyes light up in elation, her sentiment quickly shifting into pure excitement once again. “you’d want to try crochet? and dollmaking? are you sure?”

“uh, duh! that sounds like so much fun.”

she squeals in happiness, engulfing you in another hug and spinning you both around in the kitchen. the smell of her vanilla and strawberry-scented perfume filled your nose, a scent that she had donned and owned since high school.

he’s always streaming in cosy clothes and hoodies so i think his community doesn’t believe he’s jacked and they make fun of him for it. bakugou one day starts streaming in his tight black tees and someone comments “holy sleeper build.” and he gets sooooo cocky about it — flexes and stuff, puffs his chest over the screen.

“didn’t wanna show off ‘cause i knew you’d all be fuckin’ thirstin’ over everything.” he’s kinda bashful and smirks slow and sexy red eyes sweeping over his twitch chat. someone donates and sends one of those vocal messages ‘show us them tiddies bitch.’ And it actually makes him laugh, like proper laugh. one of his most viral clips from his streams. handcam streams often after that lmaoo

also he hates when people backseat him during games, i think katsuki really likes decision based gaming to liked to analyse the options, big fan of immersive game play and world building/character relationships. so when people skip ahead during times when he’s trying to figure out a puzzle or something he’ll genuinely pause the game to tell people off. “shits fuckin annoying. tuned in to watch me play the game now you’re playin it for me. okay.”

the onlyyyyy time he’s ever allowed back seating is when you, a smaller streamer, join his chat and he’s playing through something — looking for a code to figure out a puzzle and you sweetly comment: “it’s in the top left!!!”

katsuki only notices because he once did a raid on your stream ages ago and thought you were adorable, playing your cosy games and showing off your tomodachi life island and ever since he’s been watching you in secret on his alt account. recognises your twitch handle by heart now.

“thanks, gorgeous.” he grins after reading your comment or listening to it if you’ve donated for him to see it. then he moves on and his chat goes CRAZY cause usually he’s strict as FUCK. people clip it sooo fast, ‘dynamight flirting with smaller streamer????’ it goes viral instantly and you get sooo much attention to your streams it makes you anxious.

Spamton G. Spamton Headcanons

(Under the cut to save anyone who doesn't give a shit about a Nobody's HCs lmao. Also there's a LOT of them)

(Some of these may or may not contradict canon. Fight me idc)

You could also consider this my timeline of his life ig. I'm trying to keep it brief. But that's why not all things may be headcanons.

General Addison HCs:

Mostly digital beings with smooth plastic bodies, a single female USB port on the side of their neck.

(Male) USB tails!!

They all share the same code, with only a few minor differences resulting in changes in their appearance. This code can be altered to a certain extent, allowing for changes in hair and body colour.

They're capable of accessing the internet remotely and manifesting popup windows.

Charming smiles bright colours, they're all experts at getting your attention. Most of them tend to be quite annoying, too.

"Normal" sounding names to seem more approachable.

After a hard/unexpected crash and/or reboot, they run systems checks. The vocal check involves singing the first verse of Daisy Bell and it is exactly as awkward as it sounds.

They're all capable of making Pipis, gender (and sex) is irrelevant. Pipis aren't eggs, but pseudo-sentient containers of strong emotional energy, formed by darkner magic. The kind of emotion(s) used in the creation determine the stability (will it explode?) and/or 'personality' (will it cry in the Z-rank room?)

Pre-Big Shot:

His name used to be "Samuel Gavin Addison"

Cisgender male. (This doesn't change)

Unlike the other Addisons, who were often hired by companies to mindlessly push their products, Spamton was the first algorithm based one. Nobody told him that.

He couldn't understand why he did so much worse than the others while using all the same techniques they did. (Spoiler alert: he wasn't supposed to be using the same techniques)

Has a tendency to eavesdrop and generally learn about people (but never managed to connect the dots)

He was quite well liked by the other Addisons. He never forgot a birthday and always got thoughtful gifts.

That didn't save him from being frustrated enough with his poor performance to take the Deal(tm) when the stranger got through to him on the phone.

The terms were very simple: This was a deal for him and him alone. He would be a Big Shot all on his own. All he had to do was spread as many of their "special rings" through the dark worlds as possible, by any means he saw fit.

Big Shot Era:

Upon accepting the deal, his very code was changed by the Mysterious Benefactor. No longer an algorithm-based advertisement, he became the personification of the concept of spam emails.

This is also when his name was changed to "Spamton Gabriel Spamton".

Instead of being made of plastic, his body became code itself, made tangible, unable to be tethered or held in one spot if not allowed.

Developed crippling claustrophobia as a result of his new 'body'. Energy cannot and should not ever be contained.

People became almost compelled to buy whatever he sold them, and most things came free with a strange, spiky ring. Completely unexpected, of course.

When the other Addisons turned their back on him out of jealousy, he decided he didn't need them anyway. He was supposed to be a Big Shot all on his own. So he altered his own code to 'dye' his hair black and refused to wear green.

His fame and riches gave him what he considered to be 'freedom'. He could do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted, with whomever he wanted. What is freedom if not that?

Party animal! Lots of freedom means lots of parties, lots of sex and drugs and alcohol.

Only smokes the finest cigars.

Moved into Queen's palace about a year after first making it big.

Developed a fear of commitment. Maintaining his "freedom" had become the most important thing to him.

Had a brief FWB relationship with Swatch.

Met Tenna. Went into their business partnership planning to simply use his show as a platform to reach more people.

Caught feelings. Yk. Like an idiot. Their chemistry, both on and off the set, was undeniable, even if his fear of commitment and Tenna's desperate need for attention and constant validation were fundamentally incompatible.

Got super into robotics because of Tenna. Mostly for hornt reasons, but it quickly grew beyond that. Has a genuine fascination with it.

1997 was the peak of his career, before any of the following concerns started:

Toyed with the idea of sharing his secret for a long time before ever even mentioning it. That was when the phone calls started.

The person on the other end was reminding him of the very simple terms of their deal. He could share it with nobody. He was getting too close.

He was drunk when he told Tenna that he could share his secret with him. Never actually managed it.

The phone calls got more frequent after that. More scary. Warning him not to talk, but now Tenna knew he had a secret to share and wouldn't let it go.

Spamton reached a breaking point during an argument. The phone rang one last time. He didn't want to answer it, but felt compelled to.

Just as his code was changed the first time, this time, he was infected by a computer virus. He knew it instantly, feeling it twist itself into his code like icy black tentacles.

He fled the room, worried that it may be contagious and wanting to avoid risking spreading it to Tenna.

The Collapse:

The virus took hold gradually, first impacting his body. An outer shell of wood formed around him and slowly began to get tighter, constricting his energy in a way designed to trigger his claustrophobia.

The speech quirk only kicked in at this point, being completely absent up until now.

Though it changed his physical presence and distorted his speech, the virus didn't corrupt his mind. It was given to him as a punishment, trapping him in his own head, unable to communicate completely sane and coherent thoughts.

Tried everything to fix the virus. He was quarantined while various Ambyu-lances attempted to treat him. Nothing worked. The virus was too dark; too stubborn. They didn't have the technology to remove it.

Became obsessed with the NEO body in the palace basement.

Managed to cling on to his place in Queen's palace for a few months.

She told him he was being evicted right before pushing him into the acid river just for the comedy of it.

His body was still changing from the effects of the virus, so whether it was the acid that made him smaller or not isn't entirely clear.

His complete puppet body is designed to be a mockery of everything he was before. Stiff joints that are difficult to move where he used to move so effortlessly and energetically. Huge, garish grin to replace his charming smile. And of course, a puppet is the very opposite of the freedom he had unwittingly become dependant on.

Game Era:

Never went back to Tenna even after realising his virus wasn't contagious, afraid of his reaction to his new appearance and thinking it better if Tenna hated him and moved on.

Still absolutely hung up on Tenna. He still loves that TV so much, but he didn't realise what he had until he lost it.

Has been living in various dumpsters and generally on the streets for a decade.

Forced to get used to tight spaces. No longer claustrophobic.

His desire for true freedom is his only driving force now. He wants to taste the sky and fight the Mysterious Benefactor for fucking him over.

So much time spent completely alone and with so much resentment and desperate vehemence has driven him mad - completely unrelated to the virus.

[HYPERLINK BLOCKED] = Love

Genuinely sees Kris as the first friend he's had since Tenna.

Completely gives up on all hope of ever tasting freedom after they defeat his NEO form.

Withdraws even further after Tenna doesn't recognise him and sprays him with foam. Refuses to leave the form of the Dealmakers again for a long time.

Post game:

(Assuming Castle Town still gets to exist)

Only (reluctantly) leaves the form of the Dealmakers when Kris announces they're leaving for College and won't be around any more.

Mooches around doing nothing much but coasting along with no real aim for years.

(Mettaton gets a new TV, and Susie has to rescue Tenna and bring him back to Castle Town at some point while Kris is away)

When Kris returns from college, they convince Berdly (who was learning to be a programmer) to try fixing his virus.

It takes copying the code of another rescued Addison and completely replacing most of his own code, making some adjustments in the process.

He's essentially reset back to how he used to look before he ever made it big in the first place, but once again in control of his body and voice.

Given a new lease on life, Spamton finally pulls himself together and starts trying again.

Tenna recognises him (or finally admits to it) once he's fixed. Long, angry talks are had. Explanations are given.

They make up and fall in love all over again. Because this is my headcanon and I say so :)

With the proper support of a friend group and the added ability to actually communicate and move around comfortably, he starts to work for a living.

He becomes Castle Town's mailman! (He's so fucking done with sales after everything he went through)

this goes for ALL fandoms: readers need to know how to seperate the writing from the writers. people come on here and absolutely dogshit or terrorize authors about concepts they write when in reality, it doesn't mean they support those concepts at all. it's fiction. if you can't process that shit in the big '26 you need a reality check 🫩

also, writers don't owe anyone anything... people come on here as if writers are their personal workers that are supposed to make content perfectly tailored for you to goon to. people write because it's what they enjoy doing — when you come on here demanding shit it's not helpful, it's draining.

★ dress-up is SOOOOO fun for both of them. caine has a crazy amount of cosmetics saved and quite the elaborate wardrobe for her,, the word "princess" doesn't even come out of her mouth yet and suddenly there's a kingdom's worth of clothes and costume jewelry filling her wardrobe :3

★ sometimes he gets a little antsy since most of the time she's pretty low-energy, but it always makes her laugh

★ the more i write for this ship in general, the more i kinda realize how similar they are in how helpful they wanna be 'n' how they're both such people-pleasers so i think they both kinda try to give the other little tasks or games or something they can play or do to be and feel helpful and remind them that they're a big help >w< starry especially loves doing this,, she calls 'em lil mini adventures

She sits, facing the incoming waves, legs outstretched in front of her, paws playing with the wet sand.

…All I've ever known, worked for, felt- is love.

The desire to please people, see them happy, further some kind of story like in the movies I watched as a kid. I- took them as gospel, as- my set agenda for life… true love and magic, and- and nature, and- some insane, desperate part of me emotionally believed it was all out there somewhere.

And I- I-I'd get… so angry when that wasn't the case, when- when imperfection showed itself… W-When I was human, I- didn't have a lot of friends, I'd- get bullied a lot… I had acne and- small tits 'n' yellow teeth 'n' ugly body hair everywhere and everyone telling me what to do with it, and- even the smallest fuckin'- speck of dirt in my room or wrinkle in my sheets- even the smallest imperfection would kill me…

…Remind me that one day, my optimism's gonna die. My sunshine's gonna die, I'm gonna die. Nothing's ever perfect, nothing's ever meant to be, but- even knowing that, I- still can't get over it.

And it pisses me off.

Love's- the only thing with imperfections I felt most willing to work with. Another person I could connect with, get more perspective from, get affection from, get- time and energy and- someone who does care and can shut my brain up and tell me to quit being so goddamn insane over the shittiest things, but- even then, it's not enough.

Because I start giving everything I have to the people I love, to the point it's my only defining trait, just- loving unconditionally, a-anything to get people to stay… To the point it would kill me, I'd get walked all over, I'd- be aware of the poison I picked but still continue to drink it, thinking maybe love would be real and be my escape from myself and this shitty reality, but- it hasn't worked.

I can't use love as an escape. I died early, irreversible imperfections have happened, I'm in goddamn HELL for crying out loud-

I still don't know who I am, or- how to take care of myself or set boundaries, or- have relationships without freaking out at the most minor critique of myself or minor problem or little conversation because I thought everything was world ending with the way things kept getting worse…

All I had was that "perfection and love trump all" mindset, and- that's where my struggle with differentiating between reality and fantasy come into play, that's- my side of how I look back on that break-up, I- blindly and unintentionally tried to mold you into someone instead of- trying to learn and figure out who you are and- be okay with that, be okay with another imperfection in my story, but- I don't do well with empathy or words, or- or social awareness because- I stopped hanging out with people at the slightest feeling of dislike towards me, which- landed me by myself and starting to spiral further into all of this, and- fuel it further…

All I've ever known is love because it's all I ever let myself look forward to.

…It's all I've ever wanted, and- that's why I'm so desperate for it. No matter how I'm treated, no matter if I get left a million times, no matter how bad the person is for me, I get into this mindset that things can be fixed and adjusted and molded to work out for the two of us instead of accepting the fact that a relationship is a connection, not just one sole force of control or situation. I-I can't- force my fantasy onto people, even if I don't have malicious intent behind it.

…But it's still- still like that sometimes, it's-
