+ Mei Mei has bpd but doesn’t like talking about it. The only person that knows is Tigress and when Mei Mei is going through a depressive episode, Tigress is there to take care of her accordingly <3

+ Viper and Mei Mei the type of besties that are loud with their friendship! Mei Mei is an influencer so she posts a LOT with Viper doing funny challenges and trends together!

+ Viper and Tigress have been best friends since highschool! They both went their separate ways for dance school and ivy league universities but they still kept in touch and only found their friendship growing with other people around them!

+ Mei Mei and Tigress have a pretty… complicated friendship. They seem pretty distant in group settings but behind that is what one can only describe as platonic soulmates. They have the type of friendship that’s quieter but deep and intense. They both have different worlds going on in their heads and don’t really trust others to let them in… but they do learn to trust each other.

+ those 3 are the epitome of the joys and downfalls of girlhood and I love them dearly

Tigress saw him very few times while staying in Mei Mei’s home. An old neighbour always walking with a cane.. but one day, after going for a drive, she spots that same old goose seemingly lost and a little ways past his home. She offers to drive him the rest of the way, to which he agrees to in gratitude, going on about how all the houses looked different from when he first moved to the neighborhood, which made him easily lose his way! Mr. Ping was a fiery cheeky spirit, with fascinating stories to tell about his time in the film industry as a writer, and Tigress relished in it. She admired how independent he wanted to be even at his age, and respected how young and unwavered his soul is. After realising he was invited to a writers association in China as a guest speaker and seeing him avoid it because he felt too embarrassed to walk on stage with needed assistance and a cane, Tigress set a mission for herself to help get Mr. Ping into shape! During one of their work out days, Tigress knocks on Mr. Ping’s door to get him ready, yet was left surprised when a much younger panda and snow leopard opened the door instead. “I was wondering who was making my dad way too determined to walk without his cane recently.” The young panda smiled. Mr. Ping cut through between the panda and leopardess to introduce everyone. “Tigress, this is my son.. Po.”

I’m a wee-bit bored so here’s some modern AU headcanons for what Po and the gang would post on their socials!!

!DISCLAIMER! This is just my opinion, not gospel, so if your hcs are different, let me know what they are! I love discussing KFP hcs tbh <3

also I’m pretty sure this was talked about on another post but I can’t remember when for the life of me LOL

Po Ping he posts the most out of all his friends (second to Mei Mei) He likes posting about his family and friends, or about going to the gym, or about what he cooked, or about random lore dumps with his nerdy interests, etc. he also likes posting electric guitar music covers or “let’s plays”. He’s VERY out of touch with the chronic internet landscape though, mostly just posting and then going on with his day. He is 100% down to be in on Mei Mei and Viper’s fit videos or dance videos (THEY ARE SO SIBLINGS UGH I HATE THEMMM ☹️☹️ /affectionate)

Tigress Tigress posts the least (unsurprisingly). She doesn’t like taking pictures, since she thinks it’s a waste of time. The only times she takes pictures of herself are mirror pictures or purposely out of focus pictures, or even pictures of what’s in front of her, just as long as her face isn’t in it. And it’s never public, she only ever posts on private stories with her close friends. Said pictures will either be of her at the gym or her at her glamorous job/family parties.

Viper like I mentioned with Po, she mostly ever posts with Mei Mei when it comes to fashion videos or dance videos. Dance videos are her specialty! She will post new dance routines her and her crew worked on that week. She also posts a few joke promo videos for her studio with her dance students or selfies with her close friend group (again, mostly with Mei Mei tho. That girl is her ride or die <3)

Monkey He does a lot of reposts instead of actually making posts himself, and they’re always of the most unhinged shit he sees on his feed, thus confusing his friends (except Mantis, he thinks it’s hilarious) he’s definitely a shitposter. His goal is to troll anyone that falls upon his feed, but not in a malicious way, in a “I love whatever is wrong with him” type of way. The only time he posts more personal stuff is just more unhinged/out of context selfies or candid photos of his friends. He will use these batshit insane pictures of his friends for reaction memes in the friends groupchat. And most of them hate it

Crane makes aesthetically pleasing photo slideshows paired with his favourite music. The photos will be filled with the most beautiful photographs of his friends or of nature, coffee, a book, etc. basically he tryna be an insta poet and elicit the vibe of “deep academia/mysterious downtown boy” is it corny? Yeah. Does he care? Absolutely not, he will make the most heartfelt photo slideshow that makes you feel like you’re watching a montage in an indie film paired with his pretentious music taste and say something corny in the captions like “fall is the season of change” or some shit

Mantis he is the Mario Mirante with his posts, in that he will subject you to the funniest most unhinged rants of all time (god I can hear his voice via Seth Rogan go “follow me I’m pretty funny” and I wanna kill myself) he will also post “let’s plays” and sometimes will even make game videos with Po. But he will 100% go viral from crashing out over a game. Tiny guy with an ego and an absurd amount of rage is a recipe for comedy and he will deliver on that promise every single time.

Tai Lung thirsts traps and gym videos. Monkey likes making youtube poop style edits over his videos, which pisses Tai off. Tigress is also his biggest op, making comments on his videos with carefully worded insults that deliver emotional damage so grand Tai’s grandkids will be able to feel it. Tai Lung shits on her back for barely posting, but lmfao he knows that ain’t gonna insult her. But yeah, not much else to add then, like, the cringiest thirsts traps and gym videos you can think of, with the phonk music and “hardcore editing” and everything… Mei Mei is trying really hard to have him steer away from that LMAO speaking of which!

Mei Mei Influencer queen, absolute diva~! “Get ready with me” vids, fit or dance vids, rants in her car, storytimes, sponserships with different fashion brands, makeup brands, furcare brands, etc! Anything you can think of that fashion influencers do, she has done it! She posts the most and is up to the latest trends, but then again it’s her job so it’s pretty understandable LOL she also posts about her journey as a model, and has a genuine love for her audience and fans! Her job may seem superficial, but her love for others definitely isn’t! She also posts a lot of selfies and videos with her friends, and also likes using Po as her guinea-pig/model to test out makeup looks which he definitely loves! also she is the sole person to thank for any genuinely good picture of Tigress, EVERYBODY SAY “THANK YOU MEI MEI” 🗣️🗣️🗣️

so recently, i've been developing and predicting my own KFP 5 idea. It's about Po and his friends (Zhen, Tigress and Tai Lung) having an important mission beyond the Spirit Realm. Here lies a lost city from the distance called Baihua Lin ruled by Emperor Yan and features XinXi who is a wandering spirit medium. Sadly, couldn't do kung-fu about... something mischevious.

also Tai Lung would have his redemption arc as well. in your thoughts, what do you think of this idea?

the art style and the premise is so great!!! I absolutely love the idea of kingdoms within the spirit realm! I’m all for spirit realm exploration!

Ever since she started staying at Mei Mei’s home, Tigress could feel herself actually thrive! She’s been bonding a lot with an old goose film writer, Mr. Ping, and through him officially met Po, his son. And Po… he was the light that she needed in her life. He was funny, insightful, genuinely kind to her, and the friend that she didn’t know she needed, especially when it comes to understanding what he’s been going through when they both witnessed his girlfriend out with some… other guy. Happier with some other guy. She let Po confide in her about his woes after ending his relationship, and she got to connect with him through her past as well. They felt their bond grow stronger through their dark experiences, but whether that bond was actually platonic or something more, they weren’t entirely sure. But they were more than willing to find out together.

It was a regular routine for Tai Lung at this point. Hang around Tigress’ place and giving him his key before he could slum around at the local pub, expecting to drink the night away and call her to pick him up. Just retular routine.. Until, on one particular night, he knocked as he usually did, but was surprised to see that his tiger sister was seemingly replaced with a strange female panda… She explained to him that Tigress was doing a home exchange with her for 2 weeks, and that her name was Mei Mei. Tai Lung kicked himself for not checking on Tigress earlier, but this ‘Mei Mei’ girl… she was more interesting to him than any lady he would expect to see at his local pub. He thought, ‘just this once…’ as he abandoned his original plans to… ‘accompany’ Mei Mei for the night. The first of many, MANY nights… ~~~~ Yeah I changed their meet from the original movie. In the movie, Tai Lung’s movie counterpart, Graham, was actually fully drunk and Mei Mei’s movie counterpart, Amanda, tho not initiating, still fully engaged with him while he was drunk. Which uh… was not cool. Call me ‘old-school’ but I don’t find dubious/lack of consent in media appealing… like at all. Just a personal thing. So, in my AU, Tai Lung is fully sober, not even visiting a bar yet, and everything plays out as is.

From two vastly different worlds, they both decide to join in each others worlds by switching houses for two weeks at Christmas, trying to leave their broken hearts behind. ~~~~ I fucking LOVE the Holiday!! Ever since I was a kid I loved it! Jack Black being utilised as a romantic lead instead of a comedic lead did something to 7 year old me dawg… Don’t ask what I mean by that LMAO I always wanted to make an AU for the Holiday with KFP, since like 2020 when I first started out my fanfiction account! Unfortunately, trying to incorporate a 2 hour movie into writing seperate chapters was, uh… difficult. I blame the obvious writing that the movie suffers from BUT I DONT CARE ABOUT ITS FLAWS I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE!! So instead of a written AU, this will be a mostly art AU with like 1 written work for it Be warned, I WILL be insufferable about this AU.
