my academic habits 🤎
Mindfulness: focusing intentionally on one thing at a time, no multi-tasking – applies for studying, lectures, and breaks
Work-life-balance: making time (intentionally!) for hobbies, exercising, friends, family, lazy days, reseting, meditation, etc.
Organisational system: knowing where is what – notion, good notes, google calendar & physical agenda
Scheduling and time management: planning my days ahead & during exam season even entire weeks
Discipline: showing up even on days when I do not feel like it, no postponing
Taking a (1) day off per week: one day per week I do nothing for university, I use it to reset & mentally recharge
it might be november, but the weather is still spooky 👻
i think reflecting on my past year at university has totally changed my academic game. so, here is my (self-made) templates for a great start into the new academic year 🤎 🍂 🥐
(just a little message I need to send-)Your blog is pure beauty ! ❣️(:
aw thank u so much!! 🫶🏻
new semester and last master’s year starts tomorrow. am i ready? who knows 🍂
get ready for a new academic year 🪐☕️🤎
Prepare for your courses: read the syllabus, add dates and deadlines to your calendar, print your timetable
Set up your digital environment: set up your Notion, create folders on your laptop for your classes
Get new notebooks: for the analogue nerds, also reuse unfinished old ones (earth thanks u)
Clean your study space: yk with actual soap and a cloth, hoover, re/organise
Declutter your digital and physical environment: nothing is more demotivating than coming home to a mess after your first day of class
Get your sleep schedule right: start waking up at the times you need to be waking up (for me, that's 7am...)
Move your body daily: go for a walk, dance, swim, jog, workout; making it a habit before the busy times even begin!
Reflect on your last academic year: journal (prompts coming soon), meditate, lie on the ground and reflect
Meal prep: for those living by/cooking for themselves to get you through the first few days (pro tip: bake some treats, too)
cat on sun roof, i repeat, cat on sun roof ✨
Help me fund my masters degree through my Etsy where I make writing, reading, studying and teaching resources!
Hello my fellow writers!
I’ve applied for my masters in creative writing and publishing which I’ve been wanting to do for a while but always put off, I guess I got caught up in the trappings of working in education, finances and day to day life. But I've learnt recently that life is short and I need to do what makes me happy - which is to write.
But things are expensive so I am trying to make a little extra money through my Etsy shop where I make digital writing, reading, teaching and studying resources. I have lots of different products available: a writer's journal to help you finish that novel, a fantasy writing starter kit to help you worldbuild, I've got prompt kits and journaling kits and writing challenges. Whether you're writing a novel, a script or even a fanfiction, I think I will have something for you. Everything is a digital download that can be printed or used in apps such as GoodNotes, DocHub or any other pdf editing app.
If you're interested please check out 'Spilled Ink Workshop' on Etsy! Even favouriting my shop or sharing this post really helps me out.

Thank you so much for all your support!!!
propaganda i am not falling for:
always moving on. some goodbyes need to rot a little. some griefs need to be held in the mouth like a stone.
beauty defined by algorithms. beauty exists in crow feet and smile lines
pretending to be chill. i’m not chill. i care deeply and inconveniently. i read into things. i write poems about eye contact
beige apartments with no soul. give me bookshelves and incense and loud art
sneaky links and unclear intentions. i want devotion. and also clarity
treating books as decor. read them. dog-ear them. argue with them in the margins
the details in these paintings are magnificent 🖤

how I stay productive & motivated during university
Location stacking: intentionally planning activities around where they are in order to reduce travel time
Create a productive and clean/non-distractive environment: applies to digital and physical spaces
Second-brain (principle): reduce mental load/memory by noting down tasks, deadlines, plans, notes/ideas, etc.
Understand your productive time: morning vs night vs afternoon vs a mix – try it out
Hobbies & exercise: for balance, enjoyment, & different brain stimulation
Sleep: have a solid sleep rhythm and enough sleep
Planning study days in advance (discipline principle): reduces mental efforts & you can get started right away
Focus on the joy and gratitude for being able to study: avoid feeling guilty, pressured or stressed
Take meaningful breaks: Go for a walk, stretch, quick yoga, make a drink, stare outside, stand in the sun, etc.
Accept that your energy is not the same every day: do your best every day & be proud of showing up
