"You're not liked around here too, you know," I blurted to divert his attention as his still narrowed gaze followed my closed hand. "Shouldn't you be doing something about the bad rumors about you?"
His eyes shot to me and he looked slightly surprised at my question. He stared at me again for what seemed like a long time then his face cleared. He seemed to be fighting back a grin.
"Was that concern I detected in your voice just now?" he murmured.
I snorted, then said, "No."
"I don't care if no one likes me." He tilted his head to the side and stared at me in a way that made my face feel hot. "As long as you do."
Thoroughly disgusted, I turned and moved away from him. But when I did, John grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back to him.
"Don't worry, Evans," he whispered in my ear and my heart, which was already beating fast, started to pound. "Because I like you too."

"Do you really hate me that much?" he asked after a while, tilting his head to the side.
"Yes," I burst out.
He didn't look like he believed me when he smiled. "If you want to fool me properly, how about you do something with that expression of yours first?"
Calm down.
My body that had gone completely still at his observation slackened at my command.

He was just trying to bait me.
"Do you want to make a bet?"
Suddenly, he was right there in front of me. So close that I had to tip my head way back to look up at him. He did not touch me. So I didn't try to push away knowing it was futile. The window was directly behind me. I had nowhere to go.
"If I fail to make you love me until the end, you win. You'll be free to walk away with your secrets. It will be painful, it will kill me but I'll let you go."
I glared at his brown eyes and said nothing.
"But you're not allowed to escape from me again. If you do," his voice got lower, his face got closer and I held my breath, "I'll never let you go. So don't even think about running away ever again."
He was nuts.
My eyes widened as I stared at him.

He stared at me. I willed myself not to shift my feet.
Then a humorless smile graced his handsome face and instead of a shiver up my spine, my heart fluttered in response. What the hell was wrong with me today?
“Now I feel like I want to make you cry now.”

I felt my cheeks reddening as I blinked up at him. I can’t believe he was making me blush over a sadistic remark. This was just another way of bullying me right?

I actually have something in the works right now. I'm just a bit hesitant to free it to the world just yet because I have a lot of stuff going on right now. And because I think it's too... er, fluffy and too shoujo-ish? I'll have to talk to my editor first. Then I'll update you guys as soon as I can.

Because once he caught my gaze, he held it and for a long moment, stared at me, making me even more uncomfortable.
Then he leaned into me and whispered in my ear, "Accidents happen all the time and it could happen especially around you. It's a dangerous world so do be careful."
I couldn't say anything to that. I only could stare at him in terror.
He smirked and leaned the side of his head onto the palm of his hand. "What a nice face you're making."
I turned my head away but I could still feel his stare bore into the side of my skull.
"What? Clam up? How boring."
"Are you trying to freak me out?"
"Don't be rude. I'm just worried about you."
"You're the one being rude. Is this how you worry about someone?"
"My bad." Fingers suddenly latched around the back of my neck, jerking my head around until I was inches away from his face and looking straight into his beautiful but cruel eyes. "But we should be face-to-face when we talk. Shouldn't we?"

Between career shifting and studying, I've been pretty busy lately. So I apologize for not updating.
Anyway, See You Again which used to be on Wattpad, has now been moved to Webnovel. It's still free to read, if you're still interested or haven't finished reading it on Wattpad.
I've also changed the plot a bit (actually, a lot) and added more spicier scenes if you know what I mean. (✿◕‿◕)
