I'm gonna be so annoying as usual but rosswood EP 5 just reminded me of entry 83 and how Hoody was "running away" from Tim and possibly guiding him through the ark so he'd make it out..
The chase scene is filled with nightmares and Tim's often stuck in the room or lost, but then he chases after hoody again, and then end up at the tunnel.. :[
I'm telling y'all that Hoody was actively helping him get out and not get stuck in a loop.. he knew the way out.. he did.. he did..
This might be a stretch but is it possible that the Operator is a lot more malicious in Rosswood because it had nobody to cling to? Assuming the kid that ran from Rosswood Hospital was Tim, and assuming Tim died as a kid, that would mean the Operator couldn't feed on Tim throughout the years. Even in the original series, it started getting bored of Tim when he started learning how to deal with it better, so it branched out to Brian and Alex. So maybe, in a timeline where it didn't get to cling to anyone for years, the moment it got people in its web, it latched onto them HARD. It was too hungry to play with its food so to speak.
Probably not canon or what was intended but it makes most sense to me

For a SECOND they were given hope and THOUGHT the phones were working since they both got calls "from eachother", though it was obviously(?) the operator tricking them by possibly using its power to mimic eachothers voices?? In all honesty I think the operator is playing with them, enjoying seeing them go mad (which is quite ironic since they're in a mental hospital). When it shows Jay the day for just a split second before returning him back into the pocket dimension thingy I think thats the operator just teasing him, giving him false hope.
I don't think we've really seen a playful side to the Operator which makes this actually quite fun to think about.
I think after the meet up at the entrance is where Alex's decline truly started, the operator was RIGHT behind him (possibly lethal to his mental state considering he's barely interacted with the operator before being stuck here) and probably manipulated his mind to make him forget the whole thing.
Totally unrelated to this whole thing, but I find it funny that I noted down "Jay still has that fuckass hat on" truly inspiring🥹 (I love the hat, I just found it funny that he was still wearing it tho)
The scraping noises are very interesting to me because at first I thought the operator was lowkey trying to communicate LMAO, but I'm wondering who tf is there?????? (I'm lowkey still hoping for new member of the masked trio [masky, Hoodie, and skully]). If it was anyone normal then 1) I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be scraping things in an abandoned hospital at night, and 2) would've heard Alex and Jay and gone to check who was there. But now that I think about it... it could be this universes Tim, I mean, he went missing somewhere in rosswood after running away from the hospital, maybe he's been stuck in this dimension for years (or it could be part 1 dudes brother ngl).
I also made a note of "Alex and Jay could lowkey start a successful asmr channel"???
Alex's like rapid(??) breathing and his coughing getting worse before going into a coughing fit and COLLAPSING for a second was so cool (but also it's so hard seeing my girl in pain) and THEN COMING FACE TO FACE WITH THE OPERATOR??? THAT WAS SO SICK DUDE. I find it interesting how OBSESSED Alex was with recovering the camera too.
(Jaylex shippers are being really WELL FED with this new series too, im so happy for yall)
I wanna know WHY Alex was in the tunnel alone too tbh. Atp both Alex and Jay know that it's not safe to be alone but ig Alex maybe wanted to go back and see if it could jog his memory a little? Or maybe he just wanted to see if he could get more content😮💨 (probably option number 2)
But now they've been stuck for 10 days. This may add onto my "the operator is playing with them" thing by not letting them die there, and alex has been rendered basically speechless after his interaction in the tunnel. I do have theories that are sitting in my notes app about kind of going nonverbal(?) after operator related interactions (they mainly all involve Tim/Masky so I don't think it really applies to Alex's situation rn but yk) so I may post those sometime.
But wow, it just keeps getting better and better. I'm wondering how the poster got all this footage since Alex and Jay can't get out of the dimension tho, I hope this question is answered in part 5🙏
Hey so I saw someone saying that Jay and Alex are probably in the Ark, but I thought the Ark was kinda the Operator's POV. What exactly is the Ark?
And why is the tunnel in Part 4 so important? What was it in Marble Hornets? Was it something like a location the Operator couldn't access? Why did everyone freak out so much about the tunnel?

I don't think there's a definitive answer for what the Ark REALLY is (I like to think that its like a concept/gathering of different ideas rather than one thing). BUT there's a quote from issue 3.5 saying "the center of the ark" while showing the void, showing that the ark is probably just the operators little dimension thingy where the victims get sent to.
And I think people were freaking out because we'd never seen the operator in the tunnel and never in such a small space before, even though this new series is all new content, that little clip just felt so new and exciting to me.

Okay it looks like it's continuing from right after part 3. I'm GUESSING Jay has gotten lost(?) in the tunnels or sumin, he could spot someone in the tunnel and try going after them for Alex (because of the whole "we need to film or ill die alone"), there's a possibility he's still "running" away and the operator does one of those sick teleporting sequences (now I'm hoping for sumin likethat🙏)
I'm like 99.9% sure we will see SOMEONE in these tunnels tho... idk who it'll be but I think we'll see someone...👀
I'm guessing that atleast by the end of this part Alex and Jay (or just jay) make it back to the hotel to work on the footage, maybe they disappear somewhere again and we get to see who's posting the footage go look for them in the last part.
Riley poster theory connecting with that, once jay got back to the room he could've called Riley being like "oh my god come get me this dude is CRAZY" and by the time Riley gets there, all of Jay's stuff is still there but yk jay (and maybe alex) are gone and that's when they start posting.
