i always pair my mood with good music, just to push the pain in a little deeper. also, someone please tell me i'm not the only one who thinks this is a good song.
i'm just happy our city is booming.
i love it when people give their pets human names. i mean, look at pedro. such a distinguished little gentleman.
The 7.8 earthquake that struck near Sarangani, Mindanao is a currently developing story with the quake striking at 7:32 AM PhST yesterday killing at least 40 as of the latest count (the death toll still rising as more people are found and with aftershocks in the next few weeks), displacing at least 20,000 people, and destroying a lot of infrastructure from homes to public spaces to private businesses and even schools. It's a little difficult for me to find information if there's any NGO or community-run/citizen-run relief drives at the moment and especially since I don't use X/Twitter or Instagram but I do want to share some here. If anyone has any information or links that would directly help the people affected by the recent earthquake, feel free to share them here as I'm also trying to look around other places like Facebook even with how terrible its search function is.
From what I've found so far, I'm reposting some images from GCash's Facebook page regarding various large groups and companies that had given different QR codes that people could donate to with Angat Buhay being a well-known NGO that did quick response during last year's typhoon barrage and PDRF being a group that's specifically geared towards disaster response:
Here's also some posts from student organizations that I'm copying over from Facebook. This one is a post from Notre Dame of Marbel University Peacebuilder's page calling for donations:
From the post:

I apologize for not being able to make image descriptions for all of these right now since I'm currently dealing with some bad eyestrain these past few days. If anyone wants to write them, I'll try to add them in on the alt text of the corresponding images.
As always, if you're part of an institution like a school or a company, they might also have or will have programs that would focus specifically on assisting the victims of the earthquake so keep an eye out for those programs and you could go through those channels to help if you find it reputable and feel free to add them in the reblogs of this post as well to make things easier for those that would want to help.
Stay safe, everyone!
Edit for Additional Information: @actualbird had added in the reblogs that people from overseas can help out through Angat Buhay as they accept international bank payments as well! Here's a link to their website where you can find more information to help as well as channels to donate from overseas and below are attached pictures that @/actualbird had added in his reblog:
Thank you for all the people who had been so kind enough to donate as well as those who had shared this post for reach! Any little bit of help goes a long way.

please, how did i end up watching this at 3am lol. creepy, yes, but also weirdly fun in a way i didn't expect.
as someone who grew up in a religious family, we were always told that whenever we're dealing with something, we should go to church, pray, and just sit there in silence.
but the older i get, the more i realize that god is everywhere. the universe listens no matter where you are. sometimes, the best place for me to think isn't inside a church but in a park, a garden, a mini forest, or anywhere quiet enough for my thoughts to settle. there are no distractions there. somehow, the quiet fills what's missing.
i just wish we had more parks, though.
i might try threads and see if i can find interactions there. i think i'm at the point where i just want some interaction going (especially with the industry i'm in). i hope it won't be too noisy for me.
never know what to do with myself when i finish watching a movie. i cant just go back to what i was doing before bro i just had my mind permanently altered by cinema. i should have movie aftercare i should be sitting with the directors having my needs tended to as i process what i just experienced.
i'm not going to pretend this film didn't stab me deeply story-wise. no matter what people say about this film, i loved it. i cried so much. it was emotionally exhausting. sometimes, you just have to be an audience, not a critic.

this is basically what zero survival instincts looks like. but the bunny just irks me. of course, she's just a child. of course, it's a childhood toy. but man, you could've gone home and gotten a new one. but okay, it was effective enough to get me talking.

backrooms, anyone? it's an a24 film, so i guess it's pretty much expected that it'll be good. like midsommar, they usually don't miss.
pero as much as i want to watch it on the big screen, mas takot ako baka ma trigger yung claustrophobia ko. i already got anxious with iron lung just thinking about being stuck in one tight setting.
but the reviews are good, so i might still try watching it.
so exhausted by how fundamentally anti-human the capitalist world has become. like ageing, getting fat, being slightly inefficient, and making mediocre art are all extremely normal and extremely human activities, why is every corporation trying to convince us to spend all our money fighting that
Left-Handed Girl (Shih-Ching Tsou, 2025)
several "ooooooooh" moments. the plot twist is thick. super thick. it's slow pacing, enough to drag you into their drama. but that's definitely the reality of life... the ups and the slow death of the downs.
You gotta love your life no matter what path you're on.
