Did you see this in an article? "Either Louis Tomlinson has been hanging out too much with Harry Styles or he hasnât been able to make it to the barber during quarantine, because he now has shoulder-length hair. " I think it started in Hollywood Life but it is in other articles too. I can't believe the media always has to link Louis to Harry.
Oh yeah, I saw that. I think media know that the men have a shared audience and Harry is the more famous of the two, and hence has more drawing power to readers. Harry would probably be mentioned in an article about any of the 1D guys, but because of Larries, especially an article about Louis.
Since the livestream, and Louisâ shady-as-hell tweets, as well the possible fantastic numbers of his livestream, Iâm feeling more hopeful about Louis going forth, actually. Until a couple of days ago, I was worried about the contraction of his audience given his silence this year. Louis hasnât had a chance to expand on his radio audience in a year when radio and streaming are especially crucial (because of the difficulty connecting with audiences without touring).
But Louisâ work ethic, the caliber of his work, the integrity of his crew, the show they put on, the fandom reaction and the reported numbersâ Louis is an artist with international impact, and suppressing him is not working.
Moreover, itâs making Sony (and possibly Harry, since their careers are so closely linked) look really, really shitty in the process.
Louis didnât come right out and say it, but basically his career has not gotten the support it deserved. He said it a million ways in his songs, and now heâs basically spelling it out for the public: no major label, no radio. Just me and the fans.
âThey never see us coming.â They â> the powers that be since the beginning, which is now mainly Sonyâ> âdonât see it comingâ because theyâve done everything to discourage him and his fans, including painting him as less talented, less deserving, less charismatic, less popular, less creative, less in every way.
And now he has said what he can say and no more than that. Because now itâs very clear that itâs a waiting game.
