Today I learned that a boy from my school had committed suicide.

I say boy because he was 23. Not a baby anymore, and yet.

And yet. He was just a beautiful boy who could have had everything in life.

I immediately went back to the 12th of March, 2009, the day S. jumped. The way his broken body looked like on the ice and I thought how selfish I was that my first concern was for my own mental health, that maybe I would have this shadow all my life.
