I'll start, an ambitious 5 minute pmv of Mothwing to Hand Over Hand by Roland Faunte exploring her relationship w Hawkfrost and her conflicting grieve/relief after his death. Sometimes I replay the song on loop and just space out imagining it... I love u sm Mothwing.....

after months of trying to figure her out, i’m done with spidermask’s reference. she’s a little genetically funky. but this is wc, it’s fanatical in ways.

she went through a few variations: some brown ones, a few spotted ones, and quite a few head ideas. i saved a few and added them to this. they were the first passes for her design.

I absolutely headcannon Windclan hates the clan curse words, like fox-heart or mouse-brained, but will use the long winded “curse” phrases in their place. So, you just hear a Windclan cat going on at a gathering and just saying, “Oh, by the graces of Starclan, Windstar, Riverstar, Thunderstar, Skyster, and Shadowstar, it was dumber then the forces of the Dark Forest” or something like that.   Then, you just got a Shadowclan cat being done and saying, “PLEASE JUST SAY MOUSE-BRAINED.”

Even though I barely write, a short story plot has been lurking in my head for days. It’s a short murder mystery, and most of the general plot has already been plotted. Maybe, one day, I’ll post it on AO3 or something if I like the final plot-line and actually write it.

Spider comes from a nomadic group, and that group unfortunately disbanded due to some natural disaster. So, she seeks out a haven for safety then turns to find a new home, the reasoning behind her flowers.

Dog Rose for Pleasure and Pain - Lily of the Valley for Sadness and “Death” - Wild Tansies for “Declaration of War”

She was from an old rp that’s not active anymore. But, she was from a clan who lived for strength and power. So, her flowers represent that as a cat who had a negative influence and her “pleasure” in being loyal to them.

“Foxtrot” - still unnamed

Apple for Healing, Love, Strength, Temptation, and “Represents a Choice” - Butterfly Weed for Sad Remembrance, Hope from Sorrow, and “Let Me Go” - Lobelia for Love and Devotion

She doesn’t have a full backstory yet but it verges on her trying to move on from her past. “Foxtrot” made a bad choice and it costed her a lot. Now, she’s learning to live with it and move on towards a future filled with love and healing.

The blurb for Thunder in A Starless Clan isn’t any good news in terms of Nightheart. It is very clear the Erins are building the mysterious young warrior to be important, and with no mention of Nightheart in the blurb, it means they are either putting him on the sidelines or making him the young warrior. So, that means:

1) Nightheart goes with Frostpaw to where she is going and possibly putting himself up to help save a clan. Thus, trying to prove he’s not Firestar but his own cat (by doing a very Firestar thing).

2) Nightheart isn’t doing much this book and is just gonna not be as plot relevant.

But, it’s likely to be one, based off of the cover which features cats important in Nightheart’s life. They are probably working together to figure out where Nightheart went off to or something else relating back to him. Then, if that happens, it will cause for Nightheart to be set up to play a major role in the Riverclan leaderless arc, meaning he himself could be in the running to be leader. And that doesn’t sound good, based off of his POV, and it would be more of a rehashing of Firestar.

did you know that human people tend to think badgers are bigger than they actually are, since we usually see them in the dark and badgers tend to be stinkin mean. Many people express amazement when they see them during the daytime, at just how small they actually are. That is why when you hear stories of badgers as big as small bears, more likely than not that’s an exaggeration. Still though one on one with a cat they would probably win because they are just, bad bitches

Red Foxes, the animal that imo appears the most and is given the most misleading size descriptions and depictions in the books. They’re cat size. They’re literally cat sized. Please, Erins, they are cat sized. The fox kits Lion Jay and Holly find and are chased by? Might have actually been smaller than them if the books were accurate. I can’t really blame most the animation community for depicting them so large, because they’re described as being huge canonically, to the point you’d think they were coyotes or wolves with how much damage they can do sometimes. But really though, they’re not that big. They’re smaller than geese, weigh less than badgers, are definitely smaller than large dog breeds, and often only taller than cats because their necks and legs are longer, but their mass? just about the same as a cat’s.

Interesting thing about foxes, though they’re generally solitary hunters they don’t mind sharing opportunistic meals with competing species. Would they fight with the clans? yeah sure, but I think it would be possible for the clans to have some stories of foxes doing things that are playful or collaborative and be really confused about it.
