And out of the lineup of 22 BLs there are 14 I’m extra excited for - so here are those 15 in order from my least to most excited for.

14. Good Boy (LukeMick)

A man d*es alone at 30, he travels back in time to highschool, this time he makes friends and falls in love but…did his crush also travel back? We are getting a lot of highschool BLs but this looks healing.

13. Gunshot (OffGun)

Guns boyfriend was m*rdered. To get revenge, he k*lls each of the m*rderers in horrific ways, then he starts to fall for the policemen chasing him. OffGun are going dark again but they are the best at dark concepts!

12. Weirdo 101 (SeaKeen)

A nerdy student starts hitting on an athlete, although they’re complete opposites feelings start to arise. Seakeen haven’t made a bad series yet and I have faith this will be soo good!

11. Unlucky Bae (ThamMac)

A sorcerer attempts to curse his ex-boyfriend but he accidentally curses the wrong guy! This looks like a good concept, chemistry looks good and I LOVE that AunStamp are back!!! (Side cp AunStamp)

10. How to Survive My CEO (JoongDunk)

A boss and his new intern had a previous drunk encounter. The internship brings them closer. I am a JoongDunk fan and a mature rom-com is perfect for them and their dynamic!

9. 17th Spring (ChokunAston)

A new boy at school reveals he has HIV, he bonds with a swimmer carrying his own trauma. This is a delicate topic, but I have faith New and ChokunAston will make something beautiful. (Side cp PodPapang)

8. Roommate Chaos (MarkOhm/SurfJava/SaveFranc)

3 pairs of very different roommates learn to live together in their dorms. The university ensamble series for 2026! The couples have fun dynamics. And the pairing I’m most excited for? SurfJava!!!

7. The Spooky Love Tale (PerthSanta)

One writes horror, the other reads it, they both are seeing the same ghosts. They figure out if you make the others heart race the ghosts will disappear. I love that they got a spooky romcom! (Side cp MondRyu)

6. Kiss Me, Remember? (BacodeKin)

A bullied boy rescues another who has no memories, but each time they kiss a single memory of his comes back. It’s a silly concept but I love it! And Barcodes finally got a lighter series! (Side cp KenPaul)

5. I Will Always Save You (JimmySea)

A man goes into witness protection where becomes country singer, where he never fails to get on the nerves of the Police tasked to look after him. Such a fun concept, it’s such a Jojo BL plot and he’s wanted to work with JimmySea for ages

4. Twenty One (JuniorMark)

2 men broken hearted by the same man move in together and decide to trial a relationship for 21 days. I love that JuniorMark and X are teaming up for a mature concept (NutHong as potential side cp said they will play JUST friends, but they have their own book so…)

3. Lovers and Gangsters (ForceBook / BrightGreat)

A period piece based around 2 rival gangs. ForceBook in one gang and BrightGreat in the other. This is shot so beautifully and stylistically and the BrightGreat chemistry is already crazy!

2. When Oranges Fall (AlmondProgress)

A coming of age story of two boys called Ko who are neighbours at home and school, growing together and falling in love. I think New is the perfect for this! The tone reminds me of his series My Only 12% which I loved. (Side cp KenPaul)

1. You Maniac (WilliamEst)

2 red flags start pretending to date to avoid hurting their friends but fall for eachother in the process - this was way more adult and steamier than I was expecting for WilliamEst, but it looks so good! I actually need this NOW! (Side cp: BarcodeKinn)

This wasn’t my favourite year, but there are definitely some interesting and unique series coming which I’m excited for. I liked how they split the livestream into 3 parts too. GL-wise there were some strong series Oxytoxin and Wish Upon A Star especially both look INCREDIBLE!

My Ranking of DMDs 2026 BL Line-Up

This year was actually incredible. The level and standard of every single BL on this list is what the industry should be doing DMD is making itself known as the future of the industry. This is my personal ranking of just the 10 BLs announced today and there isn’t a bad one here:

10. Passenger Seat Number X (ZeeNuNew)

A young flight attendant sees his life change when, on one of his flights, he encounters his ex-boyfriend, who’s the new CEO of the airline. This year has a lot of second chance romance, which IS NOT my sort of trope and I don’t love planes as a series setting - so this just sadly just isn’t for me so it’s at the bottom, but I know the acting will be 10/10 so I’ll be watching!

9. Within the Kings Embrace (NorthOtto)

A rising star is falsely cancelled when he won’t sleep with a powerful figure, then his ex comes back into his life and gives him a job at his bar, can they give their love a second chance? Another second chance romance, I do really like NorthOtto and stories about the entertainment industry and villain Ohm - so i hope this is more my thing! I really want to love it.

8. The Scent of Sorrow (TutorYim)

In Post–World War II, a serial killer spirit possesses different bodies, but when a couple start dreaming of these crimes, can they uncover the truth? A co-production with DeeHup, so I have mixed feelings, but it looks genuinely scary and I’ve been begging for TutorYim to get a genuinely good series for years and I hope this is it! (sidecp: TleFirstOne)

7. No.1 Student (CopperFifa)

Alan transfers to Arthit’s school and they become roommates, then their battle for bottom rank of the class begins. But they realise each other’s slacker personas are fake. I wasn’t expecting CopperFifas series to be DMDs first highschool BL but it looks different from a typical school BL, I think it’ll be fun and I’m excited. (iQiyi co-production)

6. 20 Lists (RyujinPatji)

After an argument a rich troublemaker schemes to make the school presidents 12th grade miserable. After things go too far the president is told to tutor the rich kid. As they spend their final year together it goes from the worst year to best. I am trash for cute high school BLs and RyujinPatji are finally leads and with TheeWave as the side cp… this is gonna be everything!

5. Still Holding Up Like the Moon (KengNamping)

A junior actor in the present day travels back to 1982 and meets his favourite actor, that took his own life at 25. This looks like the complete perfect project for KengNamping! It’s gonna be real and painful with some insane performances. And taking a look at Thai entertainment in the 1980s.. Now PLEASE!!!

4. Unknown Lover (ThomasKong)

A boy goes to study in New York after his boyfriend repeatedly cheats on him. Whilst there he meets a playboy who takes him under his wing, and teaches him many new things. ThomasKong shooting a mature dark gritty romance drama in New York… DMD you are making me crazy! Ah! I actually just cannot believe it! Also loved seeing Leon!

3. My Merman (TleFirstOne)

A musical series about a merman who dreams of becoming a singer. When his life becomes intertwined with a human, he sees a chance to make his dream come true. I’m biased because this is my favourite cp, but if this is done right it’s gonna be such a funny, heartwarming, whimsical series! And I could listen TleFirstone sing all day! (side cp: LatteKim)

2. 30 Days of Us (NetJJ)

After almost 10 years a couple falls out of love. When one leaves to travel to Japan the other follows, they spend the next 30 days together to decide if this is it or if they can come back together. The way I fully cried during this… NetJJ woah! Also as a huge fan of japans modern films I’m obsessed that this has been shot in the style of one! My biggest surprise of the lineup!

1. Friend Benefit (TeeTeePor)

Friends since highschool, one has feelings for the other, but the other dates a constant cycle of people. Now in university they work to become idols. This is my number 1. It’s just every trope I LOVE in a romance. And the fact it’s TeeTeePor! AND that it’s with Dexx! This is all I’m going to be thinking about for the next year! (side cp: AuauSave)

I also want to mention Uke The Series because although not a BL I love the look of it. Kind of like Girl From Nowhere but fighting against the social injustices the queer community faces. Well done DMD you exceeded my expectations.

The 2026 BLs I Am Most Excited For!

We are now into the second half of 2026! The first half of the year has had some truly incredible BLs, but I think these upcoming series are going to be even better:

1. Police in Love (th)

Airing: 2026 | 12 episodes

A police officer named Thiar (Yin) agrees to a six-month marriage with a junior sergeant named Mangkorn (War) to break a cursed horoscope. I’m SO happy YinWar (my all-time favourite cp) will be back on my screen this year and in a fake marriage action romcom! (Filming 60% done)

2. My Summer of You (jp)

Airing: 24 June | 10 episodes

Two highschoolers become friends due to their love of movies, when one confesses to the other, they try to remain friends, as they spend summer travelling to film locations together. This manga is so beloved, it sounds like the most beautiful little story and its starring Oku Tomoya who was my favourite part of Minato’s Laundromat! Yay!

3. You Maniac (th)

Airing: 2026 | 10 episodes

Two young "red flags," each in their own way, are complete opposites. But when they’re forced to fake a relationship, real feelings begin to grow between them. I love WilliamEst and I am so happy that they are doing something completely different, its going to be so fun and messy. Also, BarcodeKin as the side cp, I couldn’t be more excited (Filming Q18)

4. Nour (th)

Airing: august | ? episodes

A detective investigating mysterious arson attacks, crosses paths with a mysterious captain. As the two untangle supernatural secrets, they cross the dangerous line between life and death and spark a romance. From the Top Form team, adapted by Sammon and TongTong FINALLY leading a BL… I’m losing my mind!

5. A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream (cn)

Airing: 12 June | 16 episodes

A star at the peak of his career, retreats to the mountains in search of peace, where he meets a free-spirited young tea farmer. This is from the creator of Litchi Island, which is phenomenal, but she’s been given more budget and more episodes. This looks beautifully shot and written, but I’d expect nothing less from her.

6. Mr Fanboy (th)

Airing: 2026 | 12 episodes

When Wan (Save) gets a casting opportunity for a BL his idol is starring in, he meets Third (Auau), his idols ship partner. They clash immediately, but when Wan passes his audition, they are forced to work together. I love AuauSave and I love series about the entertainment industry, plus DMD and dir. Kla’s series are just getting better and better! (Filming Q16)

7. The Prosecutor’s Office’s Proposal (kr)

Airing: June | 8 episodes

A Prosecutor selects a failed police officer as his partner; to help investigate a murder case he’s been pursuing for years and proposes that he joins his team as an investigator under his own office. We were going through a KBL draught, but a lot are coming in the second half of the year and this director’s track record is 10/10.

8. The Edge of Horizon (th)

Airing: 20 June | 10 episodes

The deep and impossible love between a royal prince and a commoner, the commoner strives to rise through the ranks of the military so that he can stand by his prince’s side as a general. InnOngsa make a gorgeous pairing, and I am so excited for their debut as a cp. This is One31 so we know to expect ridiculous DRAMA, but I still have high hopes.

9. Class Crush Crisis (th)

Airing: 24 July | 8 episodes

Lee is sent to a new co-ed school after ignoring his studies, instead dreaming of becoming an indie rock musician. He immediately clashes with his studious roommate Putter, but as they grow closer Lee has to rethink his own rules on love. This is giving My School President vibes, it’s from a director I love and I’m such a sucker for high-school romances!

10. Oops! Mysterious Sounds (th)

Airing: September | ? episodes

Two enemies forced to fake date, become reluctant partners in the murder investigation of their friend, when they discover headphones that connect them to the afterlife. Will they discover the killer, or will they become his next victims?  There’s a lot of going on here, but I hope it works. And this is ambitious as it’s the companies debut production!

11. Sekigae Shitara, Doyara Ushiro no Otoko ga Ore no Koto Sukirashii (jp)

Airing: 2026 | ? episodes

Translation: After Switching Seats, It Seems The Guy Behind Me Has A Crush On Me

During a routine classroom seat change, introverted Haru is shocked to be passed a confession note from the most popular guy in school. I know we’ve seen this story 100s of times, but I LOVE it every time! And this has Konishi Eito from Takara’s Treasure.

12. Be My Player Two (th)

Airing: 2026 | 10 episodes

Thi (Maxky), a top streamer, hunts down Zo (Bas), a mysterious gamer who defeats him. What begins as a hunt for a rival turns into a discovery of love. I am such a big MaxkyBas fan, their chemistry is crazy! And it’s been a while since we had a gaming BL. And I really liked Boss and A Babe from the same universe and director. (Filming: Q15)

13. Love Destiny (th)

Airing: 14 July | 10 episodes

A modern surgeon has an accident, he then winds up in the body of a man living in the past, despised by all. Unsuccessful in finding a way to return to the present, he must survive in the past and to win over the people around him. I love that we are getting a BL adaptation of such a famous lakorn and that I get to see Leng in another leading role!

14. Love³ (th)

Airing: 2026 | ? episodes

3 love stories in one and they all look adorable, from the Lovesick 2024 producers: 1. A love triangle of secret crushes and unrequited love (friends to lovers trope) | 2. The school president tries to woo his crush (cat and mouse trope) | 3. His long-time crush disappears and returns 4years later (second chance trope) (Filming: wrapped)

15. When the Light Fades (th)

Airing: 25 June | 10 episodes

In 1976, a young student steps into the tree line. There, he meets comrades in arms from Ban Saeng Dao. A bond is born, giving inspiration on the path of ideology. This is going to be either incredible, or bad. I’m really hoping it will be great, because it’s Bas first proper leading role!

I tried to order it most to least excited and not multiple series from the same production company or there would have been quite a few GMMTV, DMD and CHANGE series on here! There’s truly some awesome stuff coming!
