Reminders I need sometimes:
You are not causing world hunger if you throw out the lettuce you forgot about, you don’t need to feel guilty.
Your followers are not going to die if you don’t update your blog or fanfics, you are not their sole source of happiness.
Drinking bottled water might be bad for the environment, but it’s also bad if you forget to drink & you get dehydrated.
Eating junk food is better than not eating at all.
Eating cereal for dinner is better than not eating at all.
Writing in your journal/going to therapy/meditating once a month is better than not doing it all.
You’re allowed to mask if you need or want to. Masking is not a moral failing.
Other people aren’t relying solely on you to cheer them up or to make them feel welcome. If you don’t have energy to take care of people today, there are other places and people they can turn to for help. You don’t have to take care of everyone.
Your feelings are separate from anyone else’s. You can be sad when other people are happy, and happy when other people are sad.
You’re allowed to have happy moments during a hard week. That doesn’t mean the week hasn’t been hard, and it doesn’t mean that you’re faking happiness. Your feelings can change from minute to minute.
you are good even when you are unemployed.
you are good even when you need to rely on others’ help.
you are good even when you are depressed.
you are good even when you are hurt.
you are good even when you are scared.
you are good even when you are overwhelmed.
you are good even when you are not tidy.
you are good even when you are confused.
you are good even when you have difficulty performing tasks.
you are good even when you feel like you’ll never measure up to being an adult.
symptoms are not morality.

God I hope the future is kinder. I hope that they have it figured out better. I hope people don't have to work so much for so little. I hope there's time to explore passions and interests and skills. I hope people get the support they need. I hope the people from the future look back at our problems and are bewildered by them, like I'm confused by how they used to put poisonous lead in make-up, just... "how did they ever think that was okay? How did they live like that?" I hope the cruelties and hidden poisons of our world are one day so distant that they're used as fun facts in trivia games. Please be kinder, future
there are like five rules to life and those rules are
1. eat 3 meals a day
2. always have a non alcoholic drink with you
3. never trust anything you think about your life after 8-9pm
4. do a little something for urself every day
5. interact with a Beast at least once a day (human, feline, canine, lizard, bird, etc)
and the secret 6th rule:
6. if you can't do all of those rules, just do the ones you can
Please stop attacking the past versions of you. They were doing their best at the time and they got you here. It’s amazing how much progress you’ve made and how much you’ve grown but please don’t think your past self lacked worth in any way.
