well hello there beloved members (and any guests who might be scoping things out)! we would like to express our continued gratitude for such a successful and exciting first month since opening! we had already had high hopes for this community during the building process and you guys exceeded our expectations and we are so happy to see so many finding themselves at home here! we truly do love you.
it has officially been four weeks, roots have been established, ships are already sailing... it's time to shake things up a bit by starting our first event! this event is voluntary, of course, but we're hoping the majority of you find it too tempting to resist. the silver creek annual spring festival is beginning in our little fictional town and with so much hustle and bustle, there will be a slew of fun events for your character's to get involved in. for two weeks, the farmer's market and the park at rose acres are filled with games and circus acts, as well as carnival rides and prizes. but that's not all! you can click this (click!) to read up on the happenings! additionally, please check out all of the important threads in the forum, as we have several other additions that you can join in on inside.
we have also added a few more codes into our code database to go along with this event, which will become permanent codes once the event is over! thank you to our wonderful coding team for continuing to make our site beautiful!
as you may have noticed, with it being our first month of success, we have conducted an activity sweep and cleared out inactive faces. if you wish to return, you will need to repost your application and go through the application process once more. that will, of course, include remaking your claims. for all of our current members, we ask that you make sure that your profile is completely filled out - specifically that your shipper link works - and to make sure that all of your claims have been completed. while cleaning we saw that there were quite a few missing from our member directory!
onto some more exciting news! we have added a new reward in our points shop. for each wanted ad that you submit to a resource tumblr (such as allthingsroleplay, jcink adverts, daily jcink, jcink tinder, and so on), you can earn an easy five hundred points each time it's published! furthermore, as part of a fun flash sale in the points shop, for the month of may, if you create a canon, you will earn double points! yep, that's correct, for the month of may, making a canon will earn you five hundred points! we have also added some new badges in our site store, including one for participating in our spring festival event so make sure to get involved for some character swag!
as announced on our discord, this saturday (5/9) at 5pm EST/ 4pm CST / 2pm PST we are going to host our first SYL game night! it's going to be a fun chance for us to have fun and play some games together online. if you cannot attend or you miss it, never fret! this will be our first of many fun community events. we love you guys and want to spend time with you!
and last but most certainly not least, if you check out our board statistics you may notice a big change: our member spotlight has been updated! based off of our first challenge which we completed and doled out tons and tons of points with, our first member spotlight went to jaslene for her many contributions on site as we first opened. jaslene, thank you for plotting with so many, posting a ton, and really getting involved. we're so excited to have you on site, and please remember to grab your special badge in our points store.
