i still haven’t played any of big brother, even though it seems to have been released worldwide now (& i probably won’t, i’m still burnt out from season 11 lmao) so all of my knowledge of it is from the LITG subreddit

maybe there will be some new characters that’ll end up being LIs (i don’t watch enough BB to know if that would be weird, but as a love island viewer i know FB dgaf about the rules of these shows)

but for now, if they're including romance then it's definitely ridiculous to just have one male LI. it can’t even be justified with that “the actual show is heteronormative 🥺” shit that ppl tend to say in defence of FB screwing over wlw players. if anything, the format of big brother should give them more freedom to write wlw routes. even if they only wanted one LI, ash could’ve been gender customisable

thoughts on todays volume ! the summer nightmare is finally over 🎉

of course, i chose to couple up ruby. reid and kane are unceremoniously dumped (FB didn't bother sending us to the front door to say goodbye lmao) we're finally free from the sad glances, the "so-and-so is absolutely devastated as you flirt with ruby, despite the fact you have been doing so for the entire season."

(i originally wrote that i was surprised dominic didn’t walk, but from what i've seen on reddit, it seems like he actually does if you choose OG LI. i guess he got lumped in with that thing where if you couple up with a girl, your rival doesn't get dumped)

next up is the final date ! apologies in advance, considering the million other problems with this season i know this is very petty to complain about…yacht ?! that is a pirate ship ! they got us searching for the One Piece as a final date 😭

i like the cave background for the gem scene though, it’s pretty !

next up is prom ! when i tell you i almost yelled when i saw the suggested dress 😭 it’s not that i think it’s ugly. i can't wait to see other ppl's MCs in it...my problem is that i was going for a MC that’s as goth as the game will let you possibly be. seeing her in that gave the same energy as allison’s makeover in the breakfast club

unfortunately there’s no suit. in fact, the only outfit that's not a dress appears to be fashion nova mummy bandages. the purple dress is fine, and i loved the black dress. i usually keep the same hair the whole season but i decided to switch it up

FB gave up on the “female LI leaving the room so our outfits would be a surprise” thing here, which is very weird because they literally just had her do that for the final date, where we wore the same swimwear as always 😭 whatever, i think ruby’s dress is very cute (i think they could've gone with something more boho, but i still like it)

up next is some dancing, and then you have the opportunity to waste gems on playing some game. the only way i could see it being "worth it" is that sonya apologises to MC, but if she's already left the villa for the majority of players, then there's no point lmfao

with maisie wearing a white (more of a cream but you get the point) dress for prom, and all the talk about kenzo’s "big plan," i was like “if this man proposes to her im putting down the phone” ... apparently i'm cursed with apollo's gift of prophecy

i'm not surprised about there being a proposal, i figured this would happen with all the weird wedding shit in the last volume. however, up until the dress & weird focus on kenzo i mentioned above, i thought it would be jace and esme. it still would’ve been ridiculous, but it would’ve made more sense with them. kenzo and maisie have barely known eachother for a week ! what do they have in common, besides the fact that their casa partners ain't shit ?

i chose the diamond option just to get away from that mess, only to realise i got myself into yet another LITG finale treasure hunt. thankfully, it's pretty brief. my MC got a candle, because that’s what i chose for an anniversary gift in the love in the fast lane challenge.

next up are the final declarations ! it ended up being underwhelming af, but at least we’re girlfriends now (i don’t think anybody cares about what happens with dominic and sonya, but for those who are curious, they agree to just be friends)

our LI asks us to pay 29 gems to go to paris ?! mon dieu ! (i wish i kept track of diamond scene totals, it felt like this volume reached a thousand)

finale time, we won !🎉 jin’s the host. he mentions his wife that he met in the villa, which is cute if you romanced him but my s8 MC is with claudia (i don't even know who he'd be with then, sienna ?😭)

love or money time, i picked love, of course. honestly i’m curious what happens if you chose money and you also bought the “going to paris after the show” diamond scene, but i'm too lazy to replay this episode to check

if you bought that scene, you get a little epilogue in paris. we have to split one pain au chocolat despite having £50,000...we also talk about meeting ruby's loved ones, which reminded me that this finale didn't even have a family phone call this time around (i guess FB gave up after all the LI parent inconsistencies in winning hearts lol)

all that this season "filled my world with" was "doubt that i'll even bother playing the next one" lmao ... speaking of the next season, i was surprised that i didn't see a giant advertisement when i first opened the app

overall, this ending wasn’t as much of a disaster as it could’ve been. with that being said, this season is complete garbage and this ending was absolutely rushed. why on earth are the final recoupling and the finale happening one in-game day apart ?? not to mention that kenzo proposing was deeply unserious, i have no idea why FB even included that (apparently this proposal can happen with ruby and reid ? which makes even less sense) i’m just glad it wasn’t dragged out

first up, MC and kane are sent to a private sleepover as her prize. what was the point of this ?😭 i mean, i do see the appeal, but they might as well have opened the hideaway again (and wlw players could actually spend time with their LI, not the guy they’re forced to be with 😒)

during the sleepover we also have to choose one person from each couple to be tested. i don’t think it actually matters but i chose anna, jace, reid, kenzo, and sonya. my rationale was just picking the messiest person in each couple (side note: i wish LIs had their own thoughts on these kinds of situations, like in season 2. kane just went with whatever MC said. the only time LIs have differing opinions nowadays is *holding the opposite view of MC* for some cheap “i don’t think we’re compatible!” drama 😭)

we return to the villa & have to talk to the girls separately. apparently zac and anna just left ?? these past few seasons have had issues with important events happening off-screen. however, it seems FB’s new thing ("thing" as a shorthand for “last minute bullshit to wrap up the plot because they’re using AI to write this drivel”) is that MC is never able to get proper revenge on those who've wronged her because they’re just dumped off-screen, e.g. sofia and tristan. i miss when LITG had competent writers. imagine if cherrygate and operation nope were off-screen events you had to pay to learn about

anyways, RIP zac, what a waste of a sprite. his dino themed clothing was so cute

it all kicked off because sonya was trying to flirt with kenzo. dominic didn’t GAF because he’s still obsessed with MC (can we talk about this season’s issue with boundaries and consent ⁉️ i won’t get into it right now, but maybe in my overall season post)

next up is some love in the fast lane challenge. im not even gonna question how dominic knows all of MC’s answers. (my fav ice cream is mint but shout out to kenzo for the basil & lychee flavour. it’s unfortunate that one of the few guys i’d actually vibe with in this game isn’t an LI)

what was the point in having a diamond scene to motivate our partner/boost our chances at winning, only to have a second diamond scene, aptly named “cheat to win,” to actually win. 😭 at least they’re self aware, i guess

i chose to spend time with ruby in the diamond scene ! we talked about our hypothetical dream wedding (her dream wedding is at the beach, if you choose the beach for your honeymoon she mentions how it ties in with her dream. very cute) somehow MC and ruby pulled the ingredients for their hypothetical wedding cupcakes out of the ether

i think the whole reid letter thing is adorable…if you aren’t romancing ruby 😭 we can’t even tell him to back off. it felt like FB remembered she’s our LI at the last second and threw in that “i could be friends with this guy, and not want to block his number” line. so yeah, this was annoying as hell for me, but i like his character development. (if only FB put this effort into our partners. i feel like i learned more about reid in that scene than i have about kane and ruby in this entire season…)

all this discussion about weddings has me thinking that jace/esme will upstage MC with an actual proposal at the finale 😭 (unless there’s gonna be a wedding spinoff, but among all the recent seasons, this one definitely does not deserve it)

esme has us play some bowl game. i actually ship reid and dominic. (maybe one day i'll churn out some fan art) anyways, dom and sonya win for having the exact same answer. nobody acknowledges that MC and ruby’s answers were very similar (outdoor wedding & forest wedding…i would complain about how that conflicts with what ruby said in the kitchen scene, but to be fair, maritime forests are a thing !)

that whole fake wedding thing was odd...and the fact that it was happening to the objectively worst couple in the villa made it even more strange. i did object “just to be funny.“ i was actually a little bit jealous, heavy emphasis on little bit. dominic leaves sonya at the fake altar to confess his feelings for MC, ruby and kane end up confessing to MC as well. i’d just like to point out how the LI convo with esme didn’t lock us out of dominic’s route, but it locked us out of maisie’s 🙄🙄🙄

MC makes a gesture in the treehouse for ruby, but i was staring at the scroll on the bed the whole time 😭 unfortunately my laziness means i can’t show a screenshot of what i’m talking about, but i was like, “is that kane’s map ??”

final recoupling time…except not really, because it’s a cliffhanger 😭 first of all, the fact that we only have 2 or 3 options is absurd. even EX IN THE VILLA had more love interests. considering that we’re going second, there’s literally no reason we shouldn’t be able to choose anyone besides jace (let me remind you of the most hilarious route in season 2, where you can couple up with ibrahim after he asked jo to be his girlfriend)

overall…thank goodness this is almost over, because this is genuinely the worst season i’ve ever played. the only aspect in which it's better than s5 is that MC isn’t constantly a punching bag. 🫠

everything else, from the harassment, to the delusional rivals, to the poor LGBT rep, to the villainised black women, to the half assed attempt at suresh 2.0, to the unresolved plotlines, to the lack of love interests on love island, to the fact that we, the MAIN CHARACTER, are completely sidelined, makes this 100% worse than ex in the villa

obviously sonya steals the guy you want (or the guy you don’t want, for the people who decided to game the system lmao) i think it’s way too late in the season to be pulling these kinds of shenanigans, but whatever. for real though, where is the final recoupling ??

next up is kiss or diss ! absolute snoozefest i tell you. jace saying MC is playing games with dominic just shows how much this season is on rails. i’ve pied him off at every opportunity, i have not picked a single flirty option, to the point that i've been mean even though it makes me feel bad. if dominic still wants to go all in on MC, & not bother connecting with anyone else, that's on him !

reid exposes MC for eavesdropping on sonya and whoever she brought to the hideaway (apparently this still happens even if you don't actually buy the scene ? tf) i don’t get why kane is mad about MC eavesdropping on him. it wasn’t just a date, or a challenge, anything that would justify calling out MC for being possessive or not trusting her partner. it’s the damn hideaway 😭

next up is the heart race challenge. but first, esme has a chat with MC that’s just having us lock in our LI. i chose kane over dominic (he’s been pissing me off but i don’t want to deal with dom), then ruby over maisie, and then ruby over kane. hopefully the game actually acknowledges our decision.

for the most part, i like everyone else’s outfits (some are kinda boring but i see the vision) with that being said, i can tell they gave up on jace. it’s giving “he tried to make a costume out of his undies that got dyed pink in the wash”

next up is some spontaneous recoupling based on the heart rate scores. first of all, what the absolute fuck ? maybe this makes more sense if you aren’t romancing ruby. i know they have an enemies to lovers vibe going, but they barely interacted in the heart rate challenge (so much for our decision in the esme convo actually making a difference)

yet another piece of “we would be coupled up if the game let us!” dialogue to rub salt in the wound -_- that kind of thing could slide in season 1, but season 11? mind you, all ten previous seasons could have a wlw couple as the winners depending on how you play. there is no reason for us to not be able to couple up so late in the game

on the bright side, ruby pulls a hot tub date out of thin air !❤️

next up is the PDA awards, i have no idea how all these events fit into one day.

the new party wear is ridiculous, i don't mean that in a bad way but for a second i thought they accidentally released the prom outfits early 😭 (i still have my doubts) i’m not complaining though, i need a dress like this irl and i don’t even wear dresses

oh dear, that unskippable film countdown that's longer than the clips themselves is back. anyways, this is just the jace and esme show. MC somehow came out unscathed, she just got an award for everybody in the villa being obsessed with her. i'm actually surprised that they didn't take some out of context scene to make us look bad

MC’s prize for winning the "most wanted" award is her and kane driving away from the villa in separate cars…? 😭 i'm guessing it's gonna be a date, but i hope we’re going to the airport. send ! me ! home !

1. wlw players are screwed over once again. this isn't anything new but it just keeps getting worse. not even talia's route in season 1 was this frustrating, and it was actually a part of the plot that they weren't sure if two girls could couple up

2. the whole jace/esme/kenzo/maisie drama took up half the screen time once again. almost every challenge is even more boring than usual because they all revolve around this love square. these 4 will still be arguing at the finale, i swear

3.) our LI is once again forcibly kissed and harassed by a rival. plus that horrible scene in the heart rate challenge where sonya tells him to "loosen up" when he's clearly uncomfortable. what is the purpose of including this, especially when we can't call these rivals out for being predatory. not only is this so uncomfortable to read, it’s such a nosedive from season 2 where there was a whole conversation about consent ☹️☹️☹️

thoughts on today’s volume ! honestly, i would just drop this season. if only i didn’t feel the need to finish everything i start 😭

first up is some dates, there's a twist about the guys switching out. it's just another attempt at forcing a love triangle between MC/dom/OG LI. we don't even get a chance to go on a date with ruby, we just have some crumbs with zac acknowledging that she's focused on MC. when we have to choose between dominic and kane, there could’ve easily been a “stand up and walk over to ruby’s table” option (i've just been chosing kane for everything)

the jace/esme/kenzo drama needs to be wrapped up by next volume. i don't even know how FB is planning on resolving this, but i know it's gonna be ridiculous. (my prediction is jace/esme will get back together, then their dysfunctional toxic asses will somehow land 2nd place) i told esme to focus on kenzo but i already knew she wouldn’t listen, just dump all three of them and bring in some bombshells at this point. there was also a moment where kane “spoke” the narration, but i was speed tapping through this so i couldnt get a screenshot 😭 (idk how to word it, hopefully you get what i mean. it's what happened with dominic in my last post)

dominic is sulking on the terrace, and all of a sudden we hear two people kissing. it’s anna and ZAC ⁉️😭 right after he had the nerve to complain about how ruby isn’t into him (i’m not saying he shouldn’t explore other connections, but come on !)

jace and esme barge in and start kissing, i’m just wondering why everybody in this villa is completely unaware of their surroundings (perhaps there's brain eating amoebae in the pool)

after that whole debacle is i-spy. i chose to reveal zac and anna kissing even though i don't really care that much. reid’s “fuming” face sent me into orbit (pretty much every islander has a proper angry expression, idk why they didn't use it if he has one lol)

jace is pissed at MC for giving esme advice. first of all, i don't get how he's just now realising this, he definitely would've been able to hear my MC calling esme out for not following her advice

anyways, if it’s "not our business" than stop taking up all the screen time !🫠 anna revealed that he was kissing esme in the bedroom, whatever

FB decided to waste such a beautiful sprite on the millionth generic mean girl that wants our partner. mind you, there's three volumes left ! mind you, there's already been 36,000 rivals this season ! it's already bad enough we're stuck in some shitty love triangle instead of spending time with an endgame LI of our choice. give us a break ! not to mention that for some reason, (laziness) FB is incapable of writing a woman that isn't straight up evil, a love interest that's obsessed with MC, or a hot ass mess poor excuse of a "bestie"

here's the rest of this volume's crumbs acknowledging MC's relationship with ruby. fusebox, be fucking fr. i don't got the gorgeous ruby, because you treat the wlw routes as an afterthought ! all of these "choosing between dom/OG LI" scenes could've easily included her too, you just decided not to put effort into doing so !😑

tristan came back ?😭 i would call him my shayla but i don't want to be (rightfully) judged. for real tho, this season has been such a pile of shit that i’d rather see him at this point (my shaylaaaaa)

how on earth is anna one of the few likeable islanders left in the villa ?? i'm not even mad at sonya, i'm just mad that the game expects me to care that she's grafting on these guys

sonya took kane to the hideaway, and in the next volume she gets to steal someone. obviously she's going to try and steal whoever she's been going after (i guess the final recoupling is gonna be in the final volume then 😭)

thoughts on today’s volume ! when i first started playing the volume, i couldn’t even play the final episode, so we’re off to an excellent start. 😭 idk what time it got fixed, but i’m finally able to finish it.

this is unrelated to the plot, but FB loves a “wry smile,” they don’t even use it correctly half the time (i smile wryly while playing this game)

now onto the actual story: dominic pulls MC for a chat, he tells her that he gave up the job & had to report some shady contractors…basically that MC dodged a bullet by not getting the job she wanted. you can tell that FB pulled something out of their ass to make him look better, because there's no reason he couldn't have said this in the beginning of casa. while i don’t know how this specific scene was for the other careers, what i have read people say about the backstories in the previous volume makes me feel like this storyline was written with baker MC & dominic in mind. this whole thing has been nonsensical with them as architects

stick or twist time, and unfortunately it went exactly how i predicted. esme twists with kenzo, ruby twists with zac, anna twists with reid. since MC goes last, she’s forced to twist with wack ass dominic. somebody sedate me !!! (side note: i get not being able to choose kenzo, but what was the point of even letting MC flirt with zac and reid if we couldn’t actually choose them ?)

we return to the villa, somehow jace is the only one that twisted. maisie is absolutely adorable ‼️❤️😭❤️

why was tunde allowed to stick ? i know it said that he was technically coupled up with anna, but MC & anna were under the impression that they’re single, even if their partners came back, and therefore don’t have a choice in twisting. the AI is AI-ing

MC could have had a crush on him, but that’s up to the player's decisions. my MC does not know this man. she’s stuck in a couple with joe goldberg over here 😭😭

we have yet another annoying love triangle…i’m referring to MC, her returning partner, and dom, but tbh that also applies to the whole esme drama. my point is that this volume barely acknowledges that my main focus has been on ruby. why do i have to constantly choose between kane and dominic when i don’t want to couple up with either of them ?

i have no idea why everyone and their mother is dragging maisie when she’s done nothing wrong. i agree with the redditor that pointed out that she’s getting the s5 MC treatment

next up is some cupid’s arrow challenge. reid my darling, you may look like a bratz boyz rock doll that’s been left out in the sun, but i love a bi king

when anna said something among the lines of being tired of the esme show, she took the words right out of my mouth…or the text out of my fingers ? FB is notorious for making black women islanders look foolish, they love to set black women up for this fandom’s racism & misogyny. i don’t want to feed into that. but GIRLLLL. i don't give an iota of a fuck about her love triangle 😭

on a more positive note, maisie is for the girlies ! i already guessed that she was when she introduced herself to MC, but i’m glad we can kiss her. i kissed ruby for the extra turn gem scene

anna calling reid “count flopula” when everyone was competing for the hideaway sent me. the game is much more fun when the girls have personalities outside of delusionally hating MC. we get a bullseye, so we won the hideaway

afterwards there's a welcome back party for kane, we play pass the bowl. i chose “who do you think is the funniest islander” or whatever

our dare is to “do a dance for the closest islander of the opposite sex” (first of all, tf kind of dare is that ?) which is obviously an attempt at making us choose between dom and our old partner, i picked kane. for the diamond scene i chose to kiss the sexiest islander, and then picked maisie

after that, it's time for the hideaway, of course i picked ruby ! (just ignore the fact that 5 seconds ago i didn't choose her for sexiest islander...i can't help it, i'm a libra 😏) it’s funny that on special occasions, female LIs will get changed off-screen so our outfits will be "a surprise," but it's the same sleepwear as always ! it would be cool if LIs had a different outfit for the hideaway. anyways, you already know we got that prop box. i picked massage oil, because nothing is sexier than rubbing oil all over your partner’s pyjamas...😭

in true FB fashion, some drama happens while MC is in the hideaway. why did maisie leave ?😭 i don’t blame her, i would’ve already walked if the game let us, but i meant that it should’ve been jace instead 💔 FB is constantly raising the bar for screwing over wlw players

overall...i really hope the new islander is another bi girl, or better yet, maisie and felicity in a trench coat. there’s 3 volumes left and we still don’t have a second female LI in the villa 🙄 with our luck, i wouldn't be surprised if the bombshell was vida (anna for some players) or yet another guy for esme, the actual main character of this season

and why is everyone acting like MC chose dominic out of her own volition ? literally the only thing she could've done is twist with him. technically our partner could argue that MC could've chosen to walk instead of twisting, but that would make no sense because he had this whole thing about wanting us to stay in the villa. anyways, if i have to choose a guy i'd rather be with kane, but considering how much time is left, the next recoupling is probably going to be the final one. i'm ready for this season to be over, pull the plug !

raunchy races was boring af. i know there’s only so much you can do with that challenge, but i’m sure there could be more interesting things than just repeating “the most *adjective* person kiss the most *adjective* person” ... anyways, i think MC did something with zac but i actually don’t remember what. then she kissed ruby for “the coolest girl must kiss the person they have the deepest connection with” (and FB is so unserious for having dominic act heartbroken over MC kissing ruby. not even being single can give wlw players a break from that *partner looks sad while watching you* shit 😭)

MC won MVP so she gets to write a (very pointless) letter, anna was lurking outside the beach hut and acting shady af so i already knew that she messed with the letter in some capacity

zac is very sweet, i love silly moments like this

kenzo finds a letter from the villa to MC (apparently the name is illegible but i'd be surprised if it wasn't from our partner lol) anyways, it’s revealed that anna added her letter to MC’s, which is an interesting choice 😭 if she really wanted to be a supervillain about it she could’ve just wrote a letter pretending to be MC, and then hid the one that we actually made (that’s what i thought was happening when kenzo got the bottle) i'm not complaining tho, i’m glad she didn’t do that because there’s already enough pointless drama going on

esme talks to MC about her relationship woes (why was this paywalled ??) unfortunately there’s no “Me” option, so i just told her that she should be with kenzo. i don’t think our choice will even matter but he is obviously the better option for her. i'll manifest that she comes to her senses

the speed dates were certainly dates 😭 kenzo completely ignored us, dom was weird, reid was a loser, and we barely had time to talk to zac because we got a text saying that the dates were over. also, this would've been a perfect opportunity for MC to have an actual date with ruby 🤦🏽 shout out to kenzo though, i also like trance music

once again, FB should’ve just made dom an ex if they’re gonna act like he’s our ex. based on what’s been revealed so far he just seems like somebody that became creepily obsessed with a woman he met at an architecture seminar…😭 i wish we got enemies-to-lovers from competent writers (for the sake of my own sanity i’m just gonna headcanon that they were close childhood friends, the job situation destroyed their friendship. some shit like that)

ruby pulls us for a chat, and she tells us about the time she went on a mystery holiday, she ended up in a rainforest in brazil. thank the stars she's not sticking with callum. i hope he gets dumped, but ruby’s partner could be the one that brings in the post-casa female LI (assuming that we even get one)

next up is a party, and a blindfolded kissing challenge. i don't know if dominic always kisses MC, or if it's just whoever you guess, but i chose him because it seemed like the kind of bullshit he would pull. for the girls' turn i paid gems to kiss zac because i didn’t want to kiss reid 😭

after that is some raunchy races movie night, i guess. snoozefest. our partner is definitely back in the villa, that's good for any OG LI girlies who were worried (even tho FB already did this fake dumping nonsense before)

next volume is gonna be stick or twist, i am tired of this man !!!! mind you, every few volumes there's some sort of scene that's basically ruby asking MC if we still want to explore our connection (and in the last season, people who didn't get the gesture from lisbeth were locked out of her route) in other words : FB managed to have an 'i'll leave you alone if you don't want me" system for the girls, so why not the guys as well ?

overall, i’m not looking forward to stick or twist 😭 of course, we already know we have to twist. i just wonder if we’ll actually get to decide our partner. we probably won’t be able to choose kenzo, but we have had the chance to flirt with zac and reid. if all of the girls twist i feel like there's gonna be a situation where they’ll go before MC, choose their respective “past guy,” and leave MC (who has to twist) only being able to pick dominic. ughhhh

here’s a quick edit of zac ! details below the cut

these casa boys are busted af, i think zac is the best of a bad bunch cutest tho (he reminds me a little bit of ncuti gatwa as the fifteenth doctor…or at least i will delude myself into thinking that to make casa more bearable)

but one of the first things i noticed about him is that his hair has zero texture. that shit is sprayed on luv 😭 so basically i tried to make it look more like short afro textured hair, rather than the sharpie special (ngl his hairline is wonky in my version but i can’t make him too perfect, he’s been cracking on with my girl 🤷🏽)

i tweaked his eyebrows a bit, and then i gave him some eyeliner. that wasn’t really necessary, i just like guys with eyeliner

i really dislike the way FB’s artist (lol) draws lips/mouths, but i like the gloss so i tried to keep a bit of shine

lastly, i adjusted his eyes because i flipped the canvas and realised they’re uneven. i also moved his mouth a bit.

(also those compression artifacts are outrageous. i cleaned up a small amount so my edit wouldn’t look a mess, but you can still see some purple & green splotches. FB’s fault, not mine 💔😭)

thoughts on todays volume ! the “casa curse” is back, in which the season quality takes a complete nosedive. not that that this season was good in the first place 😭

first up is excess baggage ! of course, all the guys except kane are revealed to be slimeballs (tunde’s actually isn’t that bad but i was still like…really dude ?)

these forced MC backstories are not it, but at least this time around it’s actually based off what we’ve said in the first episode. i’ve seen people talking about their MC’s baggage being that she “called off an engagement.” mine was that she told somebody she loved them when she didn’t

of course, being able to explain yourself is a diamond scene 🙄 the conversation is only with your partner, but ruby eavesdrops. i don’t know why we couldn’t have just talked to both of them (or properly called them out for treating MC like garbage instead of just listening to her)

afterwards we get a text that there’s gonna be a double dumping, but first there’s a party

next up is the…berry nice challenge ? whatever the hell it was called. ruby and callum won with 5 strawberries, but once again, we have the opportunity to cheat with a diamond scene 😭 there’s no prize so there’s really no point in taking this scene, but ruby and MC got 6 strawberries

next is pass the parcel, a complete snoozefest. at least we got a candy bracelet. unfortunately it disappears when we go to casa 😭 side note, i wish there was like a “jewelry unlocked ingame” category in accessories, so that we could wear things like this & hamish’s necklace outside of the scene we got it in

the final party game is wheelbarrow race. kane totally threw it for the girls to win, but at least it’s not paywalled (it makes sense why we didn’t have to pay afterwards) we could’ve won on our own tho 😒

the prize for winning the race is that the girls are immune from the double dumping, which…first of all, i thought it would be a couple getting dumped. second of all, tunde and kane got dumped ? what the hell ? 😭 what is wrong with the audience ?

immediately after they leave we’re sent to casa amor, and im already over it. these boys look a bit…off. even if they were jaw droppingly hot, the gimmick this time is that all of them have history with the other girls. of course, that means MC is chopped liver & we just have to sit & watch everyone flirt with the person they already know (it’s revealed later on, but i already predicted that dominic will be the one to show up for MC. woohooooo. 🫠)

anyways, i would go for reid for the sake of not hurting ruby and esme, but he’s the worst of the 3 😭 i think they were trying to go for *peter steele from type o negative* vibes, or early 2000s ville valo, but he looks like melted plastic (assuming we’re not forced to be with dominic, i’ll choose between zac and kenzo. im fully expecting that we’re gonna be forced to be with dom tho)

we play two truths and a lie. of course, everyone thinks MC is boring and we have to pay gems to rectify that 🙄

afterwards, the girls talk with their respective casa boys, and MC was completely cast aside. i started speed tapping because this shit was so boring (and painful on ruby’s route)

like i said, i already knew dominic would be coming in as MC’s past guy…which makes no sense, by the way ! every other casa guy is an ex, a friend, somebody the girls actually know. we did not know this man !👏🏽 he just stole my MC’s architect opportunity. i would say FB probably doesn’t want another “ex in the villa” after s5 was such a flop, but they clearly aren’t embarrassed by s5 or suresh, so i don’t know why they didn’t just make dominic an ex. (not that i want them to, but it’d make more sense for whatever storyline they’re trying to create here)

FB is constantly raising the bar for the worst volume i’ve ever played … tf was this ?

we got hit with the “forced conflict with our LI” and “MC being a side character” combo, the two most obnoxious things to happen in this game. i would say the only thing we’re missing is an unromanceable casa guy, but that’s pretty much all three of them at the moment 😭
