I have not touched on the subject personally (meaning, I truly have not journaled about it as it seems like so much to get down) but I’ve talked to friends, family, etc. And some days are easier than others? And then I have dreams where we talk, whether to apologize or what, and I wake up and my heart kind of sinks. I wake up with the urge to reach out to you. And Facebook reminded me of our friendsversary today. Which isn’t even accurate, but it’s from when we re-added each other after that fallout where I was a pretty bad friend. Hard to believe that was four years ago.

There are days where I wish I would have just fixed it with an I’m Sorry and left it at that, but there are other days where I understand why I did what I did or why I said what I said. Not that I wish it didn’t go differently. I do understand where you were coming from. I hope you can see what kind of place I was in. Some days it just hurts. I had planned so many things to do with you, to see with you, to experience, etc. And I am very much the kind of person who thinks “if we’re meant to be in each others life, we will be” but I’ve also become the person who realizes I can’t bank on that. I can’t live my life hoping that it will happen. It’s just such a weird position I never thought I’d find myself in. I really never thought I’d lose you in my life. The past couple of months (I say couple, I mean 7) have been hard - not because of you, or lack thereof necessarily - but emotionally and mentally draining. These are the times I knew I would turn to you, and I have other people in my life, and I know that, but I think we both knew why we were different for each other. I always hope things are going well for you.
