I also have a tip for anyone at demos who is magically inclined, try working with all the energy flying around. There's a lot of anxious energy everywhere. Grab it, filter it, turn it into something else like courage, warding, safety, or something more creative like doubt in the mind of cops. The filter part is really important to work on. If it makes you feel icky let it go and try again. I don't really know how to explain this better, sorry.

This is the core of how I do energy healing. I've of my friends described it as "spiritual dialysis." I find that fixing a specific filtering concept in my mind that matches what I want the energy to become really helps. Increasing activity or amping people up? Pull the energy through a coffee filter. Trying to soothe or refresh someone/something? Slowly drip the energy through like a Brita filter. Want to pull out one specific aspect while leaving a tangible, workable energy in a functional state? Wrap it in cheesecloth and twist to draw the liquid out, leaving you with a useful lump.
