"I feel like I always look the same to be honest." Her hair was always just... long. It's funny how everyone always had something to say, although some were satisfied with their looks. But she'd seem some idols get crazy comeback changes every single song or MV, and that wasn't the case for Kismet (yet). But she supposes its nice also not living in the hair salon. The way some of the senior idols had stayed permanently brunette or permanently blond was definitely something to be intrigued by. And not something she would want for herself.

"Oh pink would be nice. I think that would stand out, although I don't know if they'd ever let two members go pink at one time. What if I had your style of bangs?" She tapped her chin. She had bangs at debut but had grown them out since, and never did the full blunt bangs the way Mio did. "Actually, I take that back - I think only you can rock that the best of us all." She sits back and uncrosses her legs, letting them splay out. Felt a bit like spaghetti arms and legs after practice, despite having done years of it. Flopping out entirely on the floor like a starfish, she sighed a bit, feeling her bones melt into the ground. "The more I think about it.. I think I would like pink. Maybe I'll buy some wigs for us to try for fun. Could wear it for a cover one day, or something..."

"This is so early to even think about it, but speaking of twinning.. Matching halloween costumes?" Unless the group decided to do a united theme this year, but they usually got to wear their own personalized attire for a dance practice or vlog. "The potential is there, unless KH says otherwise. But ooooooh. It's never too early to plan."

“You do always look very pretty,” Mio mused thoughtfully, her pointer finger tapping lightly onto her chin. Kismet tended to have a rather consistent aesthetic across the members, all of them keeping with cute, palatable, and dreamy styles. None of them had gotten anything particularly crazy yet, although they had reached the age in which some groups do explore more out-there concepts. At least with Kismet’s concept, Mio didn’t have to worry about cutting her hair into a pixie cut. She thought it might be fun to do something different, but she loved her long princess hair.

“Maybe the two of us should do different shades of pink. One of us can be pastel pink and the other a darker pink? Or maybe a more blonde pink?” Mio held her hair up to her face, imagining how she would react if the stylists told her she was going to be the color of bubblegum. She let out a laugh watching Youngseo flop onto the floor. She slid down to lay beside her, her hair now a fan behind her head. “We should! Don’t you think pink hair would be fun for a dance cover? It would be so eyecatching for the hair flips.”

Mio nodded, already imagining potential duo Halloween costumes. “We should! Like Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, or Plusle and Minun. They can’t say no if we plan early enough. Right?”

Mio’s practically bouncing on the balls of her feet. She's so sweet. And then Miori's anger—misdirected anger, she knows—prickles into her chest like it's a living thing that grows and curls. She musters up every ounce of control she can find.

Miori’s heart clenches as she pulls down her face mask and rests her sunglasses on the bill of her hat. She gives a smile to the younger girl. Miori’s never been good at hiding her emotions—what you see is usually what she’s thinking. So she hopes that, as her father’s eyes crinkle into crescents in Mio’s happy face, Mio isn’t seeing a grimace on Miori’s lips.

No, she doesn’t want to get pastries. No, she doesn’t really want to talk about Everland. She was, honestly, hoping to get this done quick so that she could go relax after this. Some days it’s easy to talk to Mio; some days it’s not. Most days, it has to be an interaction she plans into her calendar, with a good block of self-care time after. Today is one of those days; Miori has a date with her new bespoke dress, a single-person reservation at La Yeon, and miles upon miles of an engine purring down Han River roads.

She checks her watch. Her reservation isn’t for another two hours.

“I’d love to get pastries,” she says, and turns around and starts walking without waiting to see if Mio's begun to follow.

That one’s not personal. It's a strange habit she's picked up from fame—when you spend long enough expecting the room to move around you and being proven right when it does, you just don't think about things like that. You learn to move with intention and resolve, because the idol world rushes by so fast that you can get lost in it if you don't make a point to anchor your heels in. Miori's learned better than to revolve her life around fans.

It's something of a compliment, though, that Miori slows once she remembers that Mio isn't a fan. It's easy for her to forget sometimes.

But once that veil goes away—once Miori remembers that Mio isn't a fan, but rather her sister—she starts getting impatient. A little irritable, even—why is Mio walking so slow? Why did she throw a wrench into her evening by inviting her somewhere? Why did she have to send that text in the first place?

Miori neither likes nor recognizes the person she becomes around Mio-the-sister, so she closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and slots Mio neatly back into Mio-the-fan: arms'-length, perfectly polite, and much easier to deal with. Mio-the-fan, after all, doesn't throw Miori's whole world off its axis.

"Do you have a favorite shop?" Miori says breezily. Just friendly enough to invite closeness, but not warm enough to invite it too much. Her idol persona—a creature she barely knew existed until Mio came into the picture. "And how are your schedules going?"

She prays that Mio says she's incredibly busy. Maybe too busy for what Miori needs to invite her to.

In the last three years, the two Mochizukis had never been what could truly described as close. Mio could imagine, as she's thought to herself many times after her failed attempts to become closer to Miori, that it had been surprising to learn of a younger sister out of nowhere. It had come as a surprise to Mio too, although in many ways, she had already felt like she had known Miori, the way all fans feel on some level that they know their favorite idols.

She used to look at pictures of Miori and wonder where their similarities were. If other people saw them too. Variety show hosts had always teased that line of thought during Kismet's first year of activity. A coy Don't you look familiar? would ring out on set, a clear segue for Mio to reaffirm her connection to the Mochizuki Miori, an activity Mio had once loved. It was easy to gush about Serene, to shyly share what it was like to know Miori like that. It had been like a dream, although reality would prove itself quite different. It was okay, she reminded herself, because this was new to Miori too.

“Yay!” Mio clapped her hands together. She was simply happy to know that Miori was trying too. The older woman turned and started walking back down the hall, swift footed and elegant. It was like watching a clip of her walk into an airport, unfazed. Mio walked behind, then hastened her own steps to match Miori’s pace.

“I have a lot of favorites, it depends what I’m in the mood for. Do you have a favorite pastry? I’ve been into caneles recently, there’s a place close by that has different flavors for each day of the week.” It was easy for Mio to ramble about something like pastries, her mouth unlocked by the excitement of spending time with Miori. A sister bonding activity that wasn’t even company organized and approved.

“We’re preparing for Lynk Con, but not too busy yet. I think the team is still deciding what exactly we’re going to be performing, so we’re just practicing the choreography for now.” She turned to glance at Miori, smiling. “How about Serene? Are you busy as well?”

𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓  𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓  𝐇𝐀𝐃  𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃  𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒  𝐒𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐋  𝐒𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐋𝐘  𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒,  the  once  picturesque  summer  afternoon  now  coated  in  heavy,  charcoal-gray  clouds  and  the  steady  thrumming  of  rain  against  the  windowpane.  the  rainy  season  has  been  relentless,  storm  after  storm  after  storm  between  stretches  of  steamy,  post-rain  heat.  it's  been  nearly  unbearable,  but  something  about  watching  it  wash  away  the  stubborn  summer  lethargy  makes  her  feel  cleansed  in  a  way  she  couldn't  quite  explain  if  someone  asked.

"you're  soaked,  chibi,"  the  familiar  nickname  rolls  off  her  tongue  as  she  shakes  herself  off  in  the  entryway  of  KISMET's  dormitory,  and  even  though  she  thinks  both  her  and  mio  look  like  little  drowned  mice,  she  can't  help  but  smile  fondly  at  the  younger  girl.

though  she  had  never  been  one  to  dream  of  having  a  sibling  (  the  burden  of  her  mother's  impossible  expectations  something  she  would  much  rather  shoulder  alone  than  expose  to  someone  else  of  her  own  flesh  and  blood  )  she  imagines  that  what  she  and  mio  has  is  as  close  as  one  can  get  to  a  family  bond.  it's  safe,  it's  fun,  it's  all  sunshine  and  rainbows  and  strawberry  cake  with  whipped  cream  icing  —  a  small  slice  of  vibrancy  in  an  otherwise  tension-filled  world  she  seemed  to  be  navigating.

when  she  was  with  mio,  the  worst  thing  that  happened  was  their  favorite  café  being  closed,  a  far  cry  from  the  usual  troubles  she  normally  faced  both  in  and  outside  of  kh  entertainment.

"you'll  catch  a  cold,"  she  says  gently,  fussing  over  the  younger  girl  much  like  she  does  with  her  own  members.  the  fact  that  the  rain  was  more  so  a  cool  relief  from  the  blistering  heat  compared  to  something  that  could  make  them  sick  is  lost  on  her,  at  least  for  the  moment  as  she  reaches  over  and  affectionally  wipes  some  raindrops  off  of  the  other's  shoulder.

"want  to  dry  off  for  a  bit  before  tackling  the  outside  world  again?"  yeona  smiles  again,  leaning  back  to  look  towards  the  entrance  of  their  dorm  before  her  attention  returns  to  the  door.  the  rain  might  have  interrupted  their  initial  plans,  but  she  was  sure  they'd  find  something  to  do.  "or  should  we  throw  caution  to  the  wind  and  go  jump  in  some  puddles?"

Mio thought it was quite unfair for the weather to be allowed to be both wet and hot. If the humidity and the heat of a Seoul summer weren’t enough, the quickly graying skies and downpour left her and Yeona both soaked. They had been unprepared for the change in weather, so they had been caught in the storm and had to run back into the Kismet dorms for cover.

However, even the gray skies and unexpected rain couldn’t truly dampen Mio’s mood. She always felt happy when she had time with Yeona. Although her own relationship with Miori was as often more strained, awkward, and distant than KH liked to present and a far cry from what Mio had desperately dreamed of and craved since the confirmation of their relation, she had hope that perhaps one day the older woman would become something like Yeona in the future. The older idol wasn’t Mio’s blood sibling, but she often felt like the older sister she had always wanted. Kind and caring and doting, one of the sweetest people Mio could have ever wanted to know.

Mio twisted her hair in her hands, water dripping down onto the floor. The two of them were really completely drenched. “You’re soaked too,” she giggled. She let Yeona fuss over her, a warm feeling spreading through her fingers and toes over being taken cared of.

As fun as it sounded to run out and take advantage of the summer shower, leaping into rain puddles and tossing caution into the wind like they were both kids, Mio knew the more responsible thing would be to dry off a little. At least, they could put on a rain coat before running through the rain again.

“Let me get you a towel! I don’t want you to get sick either. You should be able to fit one of my coats.” She twisted her hair once again in an attempt to expel as much water as possible. She gave Yeona a mischievous smile, fitting of a younger sister. “Then we can jump in some puddles!

aeri had been awake long enough that everything had begun to blur together. if it weren't for the fact that she knew they were at music bank, she wouldn't have been able to confidently say whether today was thursday or friday without checking her phone. most of the sleep she'd gotten over the past twenty-four hours had come in twenty-minute stretches curled awkwardly against a van window, each one inevitably interrupted before she could fully fall asleep.

the waiting room was always a very tempting place to sleep, but she'd learned three things by this point in kismet's career that made her never sleep in a waiting room. first, the second she got comfortable, someone would inevitably appear in the doorway to announce they were next. second, even if she did manage to sleep before they were needed, people were constantly talking and walking in and out of the room. trying to sleep here would end no differently than her attempts at sleeping in a vehicle. third, she actually hated sitting back down in the stylist's chair to have her hair or makeup fixed after it was finished.

a nap really didn't seem worth the effort. instead, her gaze wandered around the room until she spotted mio who looked more awake than aeri felt, which wasn't a high bar to get over in the first place. grateful for someone to help occupy the lull, aeri made her way over before dropping into the seat beside mio.

"...you know, i was going to say i wish i was in wonder so i could get some sleep right now, but i just remembered they're starting their own promotions next week-" she let out a quiet laugh, shaking her head. "so never mind, it's a lose-lose situation because what are the chances they're actually sleeping instead of practicing right now?"

aeri's attention drifted downward, idly taking in their stage outfits. aside from a few small details, the entire group were dressed almost identically. she'd always liked looking like a team first with their individuality showing in the details. that, and the fact that matching outfits on stage made her think of sapphire. but as she was idly admiring their outfits, the bright red socks she was wearing drew a giggle out of her before she could stop it.

"...sorry, i keep looking at my socks." she covered her mouth for a second, but the smile refused to leave. she lifted one foot slightly off the floor, showing off the red pair to mio. "they're just..." another laugh interrupted her thought. "...they're really red. every time i look back down, it's like i'm seeing them for the first time. am i cursed, mio? because i don't think this should be as funny as i find it."

eventually, her laughter settled into a small smile, one that typically appeared on aeri's face whenever she talked to mio. aeri let her foot drop back to the floor before absentmindedly smoothing out her skirt.

"i really do like when we're styled like this," she admitted. "simlarly, i mean. it reminds me of some of my favorite sapphire performances." aeri suddenly went quiet, one of her telltale signs that she'd disappeared into her own head. more often than not, it meant she was about to come out with a question or thought that seemed to come out of left field. after a short pause, she looked back at mio. "do you think we've changed a lot since debut? or even since we became trainees? sometimes i look at us now and it feels obvious how much we've grown, but there are other times it feels like we only debuted yesterday."

Mio was quite proud of herself for establishing a consistent (kind of) and effective (more or less!) routine for handling the incredibly long, extremely exhausting music show recording days that came with every promotional period. Was it much more difficult now that she was ignoring her phone (and all the notifications from her mom)? Maybe! But she had that pesky little thing hidden away inside the pocket of her jacket which was buried in the pile of jackets in the corner of the waiting area with their other everyday clothes that had been swapped for their stage outfits, and instead, she was focusing on nurturing her Animal Crossing village. There would be no weeds on her watch! Her efforts to plant as many flowers in front of Judy’s house so the colorful bear never abandoned her was interrupted by someone plopping into the empty seat next to her. Mio glanced to make eye contact with Aeri, who looked as pretty as ever, even if she did also look exhausted.

Mio dropped her Switch onto her lap, shifting her focus to the girl next to her. “Aeri!” She thought about Aeri’s comment about Wonder. The two groups were taking the brother sister group concept to another level with their back to back promotions. It was likely that even despite the early hour, the boys were likely getting drilled in the new choreography or being herded to photoshoots in preparation. “I doubt they’re sleeping either. I feel like everyone is running around these days. I wish they’d let us get a sneak peek of what their comeback sounds like though. Do you think I can convince one of them to let me listen?”

Aeri’s giggles drew out Mio’s own. She was always someone who laughed easily, and the infectious nature of Aeri’s own twinkling laughter made Mio giggle too, even if she didn’t know what was so funny. She glanced down at Aeri’s socks at the other girl’s mention of it, remembering that she was the only one wearing bright red socks as compared to everyone else’s white ones. They definitely made Aeri stand out, especially when she was in the middle of formation. It reminded Mio of Red Shoes, but such a tragic story was ill-suited for someone as sweet and pretty as Aeri. “They are really red,” Mio agreed, “but you look pretty in them. Our lovely dancer.”

“I like dressing like this too. We really look like a girl group when we match like this.” Mio played with her hair, styled cutely into twin pig tails. She thought about what the five of them were like years ago, when they hadn’t been sure of their debut. “We’ve grown up a lot, but I don’t think we’ve changed that much. Maybe we became more mature?”

Mio definitely felt different from the girl she was back before debut, the one who was an only child and whose greatest difficulty in life was whether or not she could sneak another strawberry milk past her diet. Whether or better or worse, they had all grown.

minsu enters the set, aware of the cameras already rolling and positioned on him, but even then, his curiosity to see which idol he's been paired with is genuine. so, too, is his delight when he sees that it's kismet's mio round the corner on the other side of the set. while he does not yet know the rookie idol too well, they had met previously when kismet was filming challenges for "jellyous". and from what he's seen so far, he likes mio's spirit. and her streak of sadism, if he thinks about how high energy her choreography was.

he turns to mio, bowing with an easy smile. "hello, mio," he says. he walks, as he was previously directed, to a jenga block tower at the center of the set. it easily surpasses even his height, and he expects that his taller stature will likely be to his advantage ... "have you played jenga before?"

after her response, he reads the rules to their mini-game: each block has a challenge. they have to pass the challenge, and if producers don't think they passed the challenge correctly — they must pull another block. of course, whoever topples the tower loses. "ladies first?"

The producer gave Mio the go sign to begin walking towards the center of the set where the Mix and Match would take place. She had been excited when she heard about the activity, especially since it would be with someone from outside of the company. She remembered as a student how excited she was whenever her favorite idols interacted with each other or with other groups during content. It was always an interesting twist on the usual content that typically was kept within the confines of the group.

She smiled and waved as she made eye contact with her partner for the shoot. Although she didn’t know Minsu well, he was immediately recognizable as a member of Hiraeth and someone she had previously filmed dance challenges with. He had been a great dancer and so nice when they had last interacted. She returned his bow and bounced over to the Jenga tower they would be playing with. It was incredibly tall, taller than the average person, and made up of large blocks she knew she’d have to use both arms to remove. “Hello! I’ve played a few times before, but never with something this big.”

She listened carefully to the instructions he read out, nodding along. To kick off the game, she made a slow circle around the tower and chose one at arms level. She pulled it out carefully, watching the rest of the tower stay stable (thankfully!) as she did. She flipped the block in her arms, revealing printed text for her challenge. “Win rock paper scissors against the PD.” She looked up and made eye contact with the PD who had already extended out a fist. “Okay! Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot! Ah! Yay!” She jumped and started clapping as she won the game. Mio twirled in place before putting the block down to their side. “Your turn!”

They were sitting in front of a large mirror, legs crossed on the ground. It was one of those days that they could consider relaxing, considering they'd done their respective practices in the morning, and they had the afternoon off. And this was routine for them, considering they were the two personalities that seemed to mesh so very well since the start of the formation and debut of their unit. Thankful for Mio for company. Thankful for Mio as a teammate. Sometimes she can't even imagine what it would be like to be in the group without her.

"I wonder what your next hairstyle will be during Kismet's next comeback. You look good in any style though, since you're such a chameleon. Or is Barbie a better word? I'm not comparing you to an actual lizard," Youngseo laughs lightly as she holds up Mio's hair into pigtails, humming over the look, before releasing her hair and moving her bangs to the side, and back to the front. "I guess we could voice our preferences but it's not like its up to us at the end of the day." She'd say the stylists knew best, but sometimes when the bleach got pulled out, it freaked Youngseo out. It felt so wasteful in a way, to go blonde for a comeback only to dye it black weeks later. Although sometimes, wigs got pulled out for the members and it made her happy that they were adapting to that more and more.

"Is there a colour you didn't do yet that you want to do?" Youngseo holds her fading ends to blend into Mio's. They'd gotten so close over the years, so the fact that they were cheek to cheek right now didn't phase her, but she wasn't this skin shippy with everyone else.

Mio giggled as Youngseo played with her hair, watching as the other girl pulled it up into pigtails and then moved her bangs away from her face. The stylists definitely had a clear image for what each member of Kismet should look like for each era, and Mio’s bangs had become a consistent part of her look to the point that even their fans would talk about getting bangs because of her during fansigns. She twisted her hair in her own hands as Youngseo’s hands moved away to play with her own hair, leaning in so the two were pressed close together, cheek to cheek.

“Maybe something colorful?” Mio’s hair had been black for the last two comebacks, something she’s sure her hair was happy for considering the warm chestnut color she had to maintain during Kismet’s first year. She had never been allowed to dye her hair when she had been back to Japan, so the entire experience since debut of having a collage of hair colors and styles thrust in front of her only minutes before the stylists made it into reality was still novel even three years in. They had yet to get much information about what the next comeback’s concept would be and whether their hair would change very much with it. “You look so pretty with all the styles they’ve come up with for you so far. The stylists must have so much fun because they know it’ll always come out nicely.”

Mio held up her own hair against Youngseo’s. “I think pink would be fun, but the maintenance would be crazy. I think it’d be fun for us to match, don’t you think? Like twins!” If there was anyone in the group Mio felt closest too, it was definitely Youngseo. The two had been in sync since they first met, so similar in personality that it was difficult to imagine debuting without her by her side.

Miori hasn’t been down these halls in years. Seniors just don't really need to, nowadays—ever since Miori settled on which penthouse she wanted, she hasn't bothered coming to the dorms. So it feels awkward in her baseball cap, sunglasses, and face mask. It's just other idols, but she knows she's a well-established senior, and she doesn't like the attention the same way she once did.

She glances at her phone, frowning under the mask. Glowing back up at her is her half-sister's—she mentally grimaces at the word—text inviting her to the amusement park for Miori's 32nd birthday coming up.

Sweet, oblivious Mio. How would she know that Miori's tastes aren't exactly amusement parks? But...Miori has an obligation. Some kind. She doesn't quite know what, but she knows that she does feel awful every time Mio looks up at her with those big, hopeful eyes, unaware that just the sight of her makes Miori nauseous. She's a relic of the past, after all—a relic Miori's spent her whole life forgetting.

Now, wherever Kismet is running around, Miori's not sure. But she doesn't have to be unsure for too long—she rounds the corner, and there she is. Mio. Walking toward Miori far before she's ready to see her.

Realistically speaking, Miori would never have been ready to see her. She never is. She's spent the whole morning steeling herself to let her little sister down gently. But in a horrifically embarrassing, graceless display, Miori spins on her heel and slams right into the wall.

Well, no hope of escaping before Mio could see her. No avoiding it now. She turns casually as if none of that just happened.

"Oh, hey, Mio. You're just who I was looking for. I got your text. The one about my birthday?"

As a proud three year and five month idol, Mio (and by extension, Kismet) was only half a year away from being senior enough to being granted permission to live outside of the company-provided and monitored dorms. Although Mio thoroughly enjoyed living with the other members, she did miss having more privacy and the ability to shower after a long day of practice without bartering the showering order with four other girls. Even though they were months away from such a milestone, it didn't stop Mio from taking note of what she did and didn't love from the company dorms. From the number of rooms to the layout of the kitchen to the orientation of the windows, Mio found herself even thinking about what the hallways looked like as she made her way out of the dorm.

It was a rare free day for Kismet, which meant Mio was going to fill her day with a checklist of bakeries she wanted to try and stationary stories she wanted to visit. Her phone was loaded with saved TikToks and Instagram reels of tourists and locals trying strawberry and cream filled salt bread and perusing through Sanrio stickersheets.

A loud thud drew her attention away from her daydreams of having a pastel colored accent wall and a Cinnamoroll stickered phone case. She glanced over to see a woman with a baseball cap, face mask, and oversize sunglasses nearly face to face with the wall. Even with her disguise in place, Mio would recognize Miori anywhere; after all, she used to have a Serene poster hanging above her desk as motivation to finish studying. Mio's face lit up immediately, her eyes crinkling into crescents as she smiled. While she knew in her heart that the past three years hadn't been as smooth sailing into sisterhood as she had dreamed, she was still excited to see Miori.

She skipped over to where Miori stood, bouncing on her feet as she came to a stop in front of her older sister.

"Miori!" She clapped her hands together with a smile at the mention of her text message she had sent, in addition to learning Miori had chosen (all on her own!) to seek her out. "It's so nice to see you, I was just about to go out to get some pastries. Do you want to come with? We can talk about Everland while we eat."

tdlr of mio's life

the only child to a wealthy businessman and a concert pianist! grew up in tokyo showered in love, music, and every little thing a girl could want. she learned how to play the piano, sing, and dance from a young age. she auditioned for a few different companies with friends as a teenager and was accepted by kh ent. she moved to sk by herself and navigated her way through not knowing any korean via charades and papago. just before debut, she learned that mochizuki miori, aka the leader of serene aka the goddess of kpop aka the girl mio used to have a poster of in her room, is actually her half sister. she's been doing a lot of behind the scenes work since debuting, including choreographing, lyric writing (she's much better at korean now), and composing! her bright and cheerful personality has made her a cute energizer bunny to fans and a reliable variety presence.

very bubbly and sweet, she's almost exactly like how she seems on tv. she really is that cheerful and enthusiastic and friendly. look up the definition of extrovert and she'll be pictured here, going up to strangers and skipping over the small talk. even when she couldn't speak korean, it didn't stop her from using body language and the miracle of modern technology to try and get to know people

an aspiring (and successful!) choreographer and song writer. the years of music theory and dance classes have come in clutch and she is now making her ideas and dreams reality! thank you kismet pd team! her style of music and choreography is as energetic and peppy and bouncy as she is. it's very easy to feel that ~mio vibe~ from what she produces

running that practice room like the navy. lowkey. she's very nice about it, but she also made the jellyous footwork and thought that would be fun. so!

spent her youth thinking it was like fate that one of her favorite idols, mochizuki miori, shared her name (almost exactly). she didn't find out until right before debut that they really are actually related, it's not a coincidence. mio hasn't quite connected the dots that her mom was the mistress their dad left miori's mom for...so waiting for that shoe to drop. she thought she was going to get a big sister out of it, but miori is kind of...distant? cold? awkward? despite mio's best efforts at bonding, any closeness seems to be manufactured by kh.

a little bit ditzy, her head can sometimes be stuck in cotton candy clouds, a little bit spoiled and sheltered, very much naive. she's very innocent and she sees the best in people and she's unknowingly kind of self centered, but she is a great friend and gets a lot of energy from being around other people

loves being an idol. was probably born for this job.
