You can change your narrative

You are allowed to let go of what no longer serves you and what doesn’t fit your story. You read it everywhere, usually with some “inspirational” photo of a woman in nature, hair flowing in the wind.

No one fucking talks about the heartbreak. Waking up on a Saturday morning, go downstairs to make the coffee. Your partner follows as per usual, approaching to brush the hair from your face and kiss your forehead but instead is greeted with the news that you think breaking up with them would be a relief on their part, and that even though you thought you’d be ok not havig a baby turns out JK LULZ you were lying to yourself. 

God damn hearbreak. Instead of being met with anger, hostility (you know, for your lies and what not) you’re met with heartbreak. And you, you’re responsible. You get to square with, from every minute onward, that you are the villain in that person’s story. And, as it turns out, your own story too, at least for a while (which feels like eternity, case you know, guilt). 

So what happens next? Good question.
