Life changes
Single to Married. Young - Mid 20′s to Almost 30.
Man how life changes. Many changes ... The last Three years has drastically changed and shaped or reshaped my life. From being single, living with my parents to getting married at 25 and relocating to two different states. From slowly molding into who I once thought was “an independent woman” partying, just taking off on girls trips with my friends, earning a real paycheck and simply learning me was quickly transitioned into a military spouse, step mother, home owner... and oh did I say wife! what a transition, what a balance. Trying to learn how to be a step mom, a wife, not just a wife but at a point of time a military wife and yet still discovering me. Mid twenties and still had no sense of self. Everything I thought I knew quickly was overshadowed by the unknown, insecurities and surrender to faith. I forget I am only 28. I am glad to say I’m stronger and more secure than ever. Nothing in life has prepared me for what I thought I was ready to undertake when I said “I do”. Nothing and no one prepares us for what real world is... parenting, marriage, life. The things I am prepared to share are things people never talk about because we live in a society where we want to portray that everything is okay. In the last three years, I have been tested, blessed and tried again. Despite the ups and downs, I must say I am in such a happy and secure place in life. I cannot complain despite all that goes on. There were times I thought I was at my lowest and there were times I felt so high, euphoric off life. Life is about balancing. ABOUT FAITH. Counting your blessings in every moment. Taking each day for what it is and cherishing those people in it. That’s all for now, but stay tuned I have more to share.
LADIES SOME THINGS YOU JUST SHOULDNT APOLOGIZE FOR
1. Never apologize for pursuing what makes you happy. Even if you need to quit your job, transfer schools, or move across country, always do what you really want. 2. Never apologize for using proper English. Keeping it real doesn't mean you have to speak Ebonics.. 3. Never apologize for giving your best in a relationship that just didn't work out. 4. Never apologize for being successful. Only haters want to keep you at their level. 5. Never apologize for crying. Wear waterproof mascara and express yourself. 6. Never apologize for ten pounds you need to lose. People who truly care about you will accept you as you are. 7. Never apologize for being frugal. Just because you save your money instead of blowing it on the latest fashion emergency doesn't mean you're cheap. 8. Don't apologize for being a single Mom. Babies are a blessing. 9. Never apologize for treating yourself to something special. Sometimes you have to show yourself some appreciation. 10. Never apologize for leaving an abusive relationship. Your safety should always be a priority. 11. Never apologize for keeping the ring even if you did not get married.. 12. Never apologize for setting high standards in a relationship. You know what you can tolerate and what simply gets on your nerves. 13. Never apologize for saying NO. 14. Never apologize for wearing a weave or braids. You bought it so it's yours. 15. Never apologize to your new friends about old friends. There's a reason she's been your girl from day one. 16. Never apologize for ordering dessert or more than one dessert. 17. Never apologize for dating outside your race. Just because you found Mr. Right across the color line doesn't mean you don't love your brothas.. 18. Never apologize for demanding respect. You are to always be treated s a queen. 19. Never apologize for not knowing how to cook. Even if you can't burn like Grandma you know how to order good take out. (Right Girl!) 20. Never apologize for your taste in clothes. It's your style. 21. Never apologize for changing your mind, it is your prerogative. 22. Never apologize for making a decision from your heart, even if others don't agree. You have to live with the consequences not them. 23. Never apologize for making more money than your man, you work hard and you deserve to get paid. 24. Never apologize for being you! KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD" ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND HE ALWAYS HAS YOUR BACK

Where did you go?
Where did you go? So strong and passionate.. Full of conviction. Where did you go?
Somewhere between the past and the future I lost you. I miss you. Matter of fact I missed you. The places we have should of went, the places we can still go.
Where did you go?
Somewhere in the connect there was a disconnect. A disconnect in connecting from me to you. Caught up in life. Each of us caught in our own being.
Caught up in the little things trying to catch up to the bigger things. Caught in the vision, I lost you.
I lost me. I lost her. where did she go?
Where did that passion and conviction go?
This thing has got way to deep. Deep In my moments that I missed you and now I don't know if I left you or you just passed me by.
Now I'm Here writing to you. Chasing for you. Chasing for her. Chasing Me.
Where did you go?
Love.Kiss.&NeverTell.
The Power of our Being
"To Uplift a woman, is to Uplift the World. A Nation can rise no Higher than its Woman"
As a Female we are naturally born as Goddess women, but in pursuit in discovering one self we discover how cold and harsh this world is. Some of us women rise above the unworthiness and disrespect, then some of us fall victim of the treatment around us. At that moment, they too disrespect themselves and forget who they are! They lose their power to the power of this world. .. This is a letter to you, to her, to all woman Young or Mature. .. It is time to stop and re-evaluate your life.
Do you know who you are? Do you know your worth? Do you know what you are set on Earth to do? Are you Doing your duty and Uplifting those around you? Are you helping the Next person? Are you a victim, powerless to this world? Do you continue to let this world disrespect you? Do you continue to disrespect yourself?
Well it is time to stop! It is time to discover you, know who you are and all that you are worth. It is time to uplift those around you,as you lift yourself. "To uplift a Woman, is to Uplift the World. A Nation can Rise no Higher than its Woman." Do not forget we are powerful beyond means. We influence many of those around us without us consciously being aware of doing so. Therefore we must adjust our actions, our thoughts and words into positive things to see positive outcomes. Our energy is what feeds "Our" world. So we must start with ourselves and we must start now. Embrace yourself! Love yourself because I love you too!

To write is to paint. I am an artist. Words are my tools.

Hair .... More than a physical attribute.
i Always resort to cutting my hair to symbolize a sense of relief, change, a fresh start....letting go off something of my past and moving forward. I am so tempted on cutting my hair off and starting over again for my 22nd. I am growing into a beautiful, strong woman and long hair is not for me. Long beautiful Hair is something I fantasized about when I was younger and now I'm beyond the physical things of life. Beauty is skin deep with or without hair. However, If I continue to let my hair grow it just shows the commitment and growth I've gone through. A physical representation of my strength, patience and endurance.
