how to hide stretch marks in a few easy steps!
Hey everyone! I’ve gotten alot of questions about how to hide or fade stretch marks over the last few days (and this is totally distracting me from other important work I’m putting off) I thought I would do a tutorial on one of the methods I use:
Today we will cover the ones I have my tummy, start by wearing some cute underwear so you feel fabulous.
Once you have identified the area you want to cover, caress it, squish it a little, say nice things to it. Your body is your temple, some of the most beautiful places in the world are falling apart, beautiful buildings have cracks in them, statues are missing pieces. Life is hard, and hard on your body, so don’t be hard on it too.
The next step is to use something to gently bond the concealer we are going to use to the stretch mark, I used a Burts Bees lipgloss because it’s extra sticky!
Use your sticky substance and coat the stretch marks throughly, you can even do a snazzy design if you’re feeling ambitious.
Now we apply our concealer! I’m using cosmetic glitter, you can use craft glitter but be careful because that stuff sucks to get into any cuts or open wounds.
Dab some on your fingers, fingers are my absolute favorite makeup tool!
And apply the glitter to our sticky area that we did earlier, LOOK HOW SPARKLY AND FABULOUS YOU’VE BECOME
TADAH! how fun is this? I decided to the other side too, I kinda wish I had 3 stretch marks on each side so it would be even. I think this would be a fun shoot idea to make a glitter tiger person thingy.
I hope you’ve found this tutorial entertaining/amusing. In all seriousness moisturizing daily can help maintain the elasticity in your skin and fading stretch marks you already have. If you really want to cover them Dermablend is great and Kat Von D’s tattoo coverup is good too. I’ve heard of people getting laser treatment to remove stretch marks, while I’m not a medical professional, from what I’ve read it’s very painful, very expensive, sometimes doesn’t work and definitely does not prevent future stretch marks. Let me repeat “Stretch marks are not the end of the world” It’s ok if you don’t love them, but don’t beat yourself up about them. Also it’s kinda hard to dislike something when it’s covered in glitter.
