Random old finnish folklore I recall reading: The reason you have to close someone's eyes after they die, or cover their eyes with a cloth if you can't, is because the spirit of the newly passed is still in the body and even though it can't move the eyes anymore, it can still see. You must avoid making eye contact with the dead body, because the soul of the newly dead is scared to go alone, and is looking for someone to come with them. If you lock eyes with the corpse, you will be the next to die.
...So is the second corpse still hazardous, then, or are they fine since they have the first one for company?
I must confess I don't really know about the more exact details of the undead buddy system.
I love my job, but reblogging employment jelly for someone else I love.

Gaia and Uranus: The Sacred Lovers' Reunion
The sacred union between heaven and earth
Sensual Energies Create Life
Where would we be without Love? No, the Stork doesn't deliver the baby. Women are the mothers of creation. Their duty of care to their infant child begins at first sight. When a newborn baby enters the world, the mother is exhausted but in love. Her newborn baby is the ultimate symbol of love between a man and a woman. Mothers and their children are sacred. And deserving of the ultimate admiration and respectfulness.
Eternal Love
The tiny babies know how to bring the house down. That unmistakable "newborn scream" would make any woman like a lactose mother. Babies as newborns are a lot of hard work. Especially before the invention of the disposable nappy. I never had physical babies but, I own many in my heart. Eternally, it is true to say these words. The #1 Babysitter. And the family's favourite Aunty.
Minor children are quite perceptive. They learn young. Their analysis of adults is accurate. Even babies are smart. The first five years decide if that adult is best enough to be a favourite Aunt or Uncle. They don't like drunks. I was terrified of them and hid under the kitchen table.
Life Continuum
Procreation by a man and woman is celebrated in a Matristic society. Matristic societies also revere that all life springs from the Feminine. Thus, the sacred significance of the womb and phallus. The return of the sacred lovers is recorded in our Oral history. Are seen above in the celestial vaults in the stars that cannot change. And is celebrated at Winter Solstice in the southern hemisphere. In the Origine's culture star lore, the stars of Sirius and the Pleiades are visible in the night sky together.
The Sacred Lovers story is read from the stars above. The All-Father and All-Mother. The myths and legends of the divine couple are prominent in many ancient cultures, particularly in Asian countries.

Coolhoon is the Ngarakbul word that refers to the Quandong or Blue Fig Tree Growth Cycle. The location is the beginning of a multi-step initiation song line that follows the annual star paths. Initiates learn the first rule of Creation Lore: Not to Be Greedy

Sometimes you forget just how immensely powerful Diavolo is. Which is why you should be careful with your words.
Not in the way that other demons are, when they tremble in front of his regal form.
No; you need to be careful with your words because mentioning in casual conversation that you need to get a Netflix subscription again (because you'd cancelled it the first time you were transported into the Devildom) had ended in the Demon Prince buying the whole fucking company.
God forbid you even look at a piece of jewellery or clothing for more than a split second, or else it'd end up on your windowsill the next morning.
You don't need to fear the Demon Prince like the others do, you do however, need to visit him later and thank him for the necklace that'd shown up on your windowsill today.
Lucifer: I didn't expect this from you Mc.
Mc: What? Break the legs of a demon that was trying to eat me?
Lucifer: *silence* It's not something a human would...
Mc: It's not something a human what?
Diavolo: What Lucifer means, Mc, is that it's not what we would expect from a human.
Mc: *laughs* You have brought a human unannounced to literal hell.
Diavolo: *nervous* Well, yeah…
Mc: Where practically anything can kill me.
Lucifer: Technically.
Mc: *looking at them amused* And did you really expect me to be a pacifist? Be thankful I am this way or I wouldn't have lasted a week!!!
Diavolo and Lucifer: *looking at each other uncomfortably because they understand their point of view*
Mc: Besides, do you really think humans are beings of light? maybe you should update yourselves *finguer gun as they leave*
Diavolo: …Lucife-
Lucifer: I know, I know, we're going to have to agree with them and do as they says…
.
.
Diavolo: What's wrong Mc?
Mc: *resting their head on their hand* Answer me one thing Dia, why do you have wings if you never use them???
Diavolo: Huh??
Barbatos: *serving cookies* Mc is angry because Lucifer has refused to take them flying.
Diavolo: HA HA HA HA.
Mc: A favor, a favor I ask him and he is not able to give me the pleasure.
Diavolo: Oh Mc, Lucifer is too serious to do that kind of thing.
Barbatos: Or maybe he is too shy to do something like that.
Mc: *without listening to them* Then they wonder why Mammon is my favorite.

Beel;
i think love is stored in nighttime conversations and “did you eat yet” and books left outside your door and “i waited to watch this with you” and splitting something in half to share and “im proud of you” and folded towels and “you can pick” and heads on shoulders and “you’re right, that was shitty. im sorry” and knocks on doors and “DINNER!” and stupid jokes and “hey i got this for you” and coffee made just right and… there are so many ways people say i love you silently every day over and over again if you only listen

(Slight continuation of yesterday's headcanon about MC's old pictures.)
The palace library is the finest collection of knowledge and tomes in the kingdom, even more so than RAD's (which is likely based off of the royal collection with a more academic flair).
Many books are restricted only to nobles or special guests, and among those are books reserved only for the royal family. They're so exclusive that hardly anybody outside of the royal family even knows what they are.
Even more elusive than those are the books Diavolo and his parents keep in their private bedrooms. Tomes that are said to be mere legends or rumors. You could count the number of people who have ever seen them in person on one hand.
This is where Diavolo keeps it. Sandwiched in between a millennia-old genealogy of the Devildom's rulers and a cursed book containing the damned souls of all who touch it stands a picture album containing photos of MC from years before they arrived in the Devildom.
Many underhanded and even illegal means were used to obtain these treasures. Diavolo personally organized the album, adding fun stickers and handwritten captions to each photo. Its contents were unfortunately sparse, as such images were unimaginably difficult to obtain. A concerning amount of them look to be security camera footage from public places. But if something is easy to find, it's not very fun to collect.
(I don't think he'd earnestly hide it. I think he might go "MC, look what I have! Let's look at it together. :) " and MC would say "Diavolo this is considered a felony in at least 95 human countries.")
I don't think anyone in the Obey Me! cast can be trusted with going into MC's home. Especially not the brothers. They might act normal about it, if a bit giddy, but you know they have ulterior motives. They're not leaving until they get what they want.
Childhood photographs. Home videos. Old yearbooks. Baby pictures.
As soon as MC leaves the room unattended, they're making a beeline for the bookshelves. Grabbing anything that looks like an album. Hunting for any signs of a scrapbook. They probably planned a fully detailed heist before even stepping foot in the human world. A group of them will do something distracting while one of them sneaks off alone to see if there's an attic, a basement, a closet used for storage where old memories might be stored. If they can't go through all the files on a computer in time they'll just attempt to take the whole thing with them.
Will they be discovered? Probably, yeah. Will they start pleading their case and try to persuade MC to give them some old pictures? Signs point to yes.

It was 6 o'clock.
"You shall not pass!" you proclaimed, stretching your arms and legs over the kitchen entryway. You did your best to physically cover as much space as possible, above and below, even if that left you wide open to direct attacks. The only way in or out of the kitchen now - without destruction of property - was to go through you.
The hulking Avatar of Gluttony stood before you, seeming to tower over everything. You were the only obstacle in the way of a being who was, unquestionably, one of the Devildom's strongest denizens.
"Please?" he asked. His shoulders were slumped. His face pointed down at you. He rubbed his stomach, spurring it to growl.
"No." You were resolute. "Dinner is in half an hour."
Beelzebub deflated a little more. Somewhere behind you, chef-of-the-day Satan yelled, "come back in thirty minutes."
You and Beelzebub remained at a standstill, staring at each other. Lowering your defenses was out of the question. Demons would use any dirty trick in the book to get what they want. Begging. Tickling. Bribing. Going "what's that?" and pointing down the hall and then rushing past while you were distracted. Your iron will was forged over weeks of such brutal mishaps.
Beelzebub made a move. He tried to worm his way over your leg, as if there was enough space for his large frame to possibly sneak past you. You swiped your elbow at his nose. "I said no!"
He huffed loudly and stepped back. His stomach rumbled again. His hands became fists. Without sustenance as fuel, he could not fight. "I won't forget about this. I'll be back."
Words of surrender. You had won this round. The Avatar of Gluttony prepared to retreat back to his room.
You lowered your arms, retracting your limbs back to a normal position. Victory was sweet. As he turned away, you called out, "I'll see you in a bit for dinner."
Beelzebub grinned and sniffed the air. "Yeah, it smells really good. I can't wait."
