Elijah let out a sigh as he looked down at Elena. āYou do not remember the Salvatores bringing you to New York to escape my brother?ā Elijah asked, his mind wandering as to what to do with this information. Should he tell Niklaus or keep it to himself? āYes, darling, you did. I saw you fall just as I rounded the corner but was too late to catch you, Iām afraid.ā After helping her up off the ground he wiped his hands on a handkerchief in his pocket before looking back at the youngest doppelganger. āYouāre very welcome, Elena.ā he said. He looked her over and didnāt notice any immediate injuries that would cause her amnesia. Perhaps she was compelled? āWhat is the last thing that you remember?ā he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Thatās alright, Iām alright now.ā As far as she could tell she was unharmed, in fact she felt strangely healthy. Despite the state of the ground and that she had apparently fainted, Elena just felt a growing coldness and confusion. āIā¦was at home. No, I was walking home.ā After that there was simply nothing. āThen I opened my eyes here.ā
