Facial Skin Care
Do you suffer from dry, oily and sensitive facial skin? Have no fear Denty is here.
Some people skin reacts to many different factors. Some can be harsh soaps, changes in the temperature, various facial skin care products or eczema. Sebum is vital for keeping the skin healthy, however not having enough gives dry skin and producing too much gives oily skin. Sensitive facial skin is more reactive than other facial skin conditions.
Facial Skin Types
What causes these facial skin types? These skin types are caused by different factors.
Dry Facial Skin
https://blog.reneerouleau.com/my-cure-for-red-sensitive-extremely-dry-flaky-skin/
Dry facial skin is caused from your body not producing enough sebum. It can be caused from hot or cold weather. If the weather is too hot the skin will get dry and irritate the dry skin making the condition worst. Cold weather sucks the moisture from one’s skin. If you soak your face in hot water this will disrupt your skin causing it to get dry (Eske, J, 2019, para 1).
Oily Facial Skin

Oily facial skin can be caused by producing too much sebum. Producing too much sebum will clog the skin making the person prone to acne. It can also be caused by genetics, getting it from family members. Age is also a factor that can cause oily skin.
Sensitive Facial Skin

Sensitive facial skin is caused from too much wind, sun and cold products. If you have this condition you should avoid these elements as they contribute to taking the moisture from your skin. Most persons who have dry skin is caused from eczema. Eczema is an inflammatory condition of the skin attended with itching and the exudation of serous matter (Dancer, R, January 2020, para 3).
How To Care For These Facial Skin Types
Caring for these conditions can be very hard and expensive. So, we came up with some solutions that will be cheaper and easier to access. Home remedies can be used to assist with the caring of these conditions. You can use coconut oil and shea butter for moisturizing. Pure aloe vera can be used for a mask. For severe cases it is advised that you visit a dermatologist for advice and treatment.
Dry Facial Skin
Dry facial skin you must drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Moisturize daily in a circular motion. Its best to moisturize over night. Use gentle face soaps, buy soaps that are not harsh as harsh soaps will make the condition worst. Wash face with warm water as it helps to replenish the skin.
Oily Facial Skin
Oily facial skin you should wash your face in warm water with a gentle soap. Use toners that contains witch hazel has it is high tannin and it’s a natural astringent. After washing and using the toner gentle pat the face with a soft towel. Also use bottling pads and medicated pads that will pull the oil from your skin (Johnson, J, January 2020 para 2).
Sensitive Facial Skin
Sensitive facial skin use gentle fragrance-free soap as this helps to keep the skin from getting irritated. Essential oils help to keep the skin free from exposure to the sun. Use organic cleaning supplies as when using harsh products to clean it can send the fumes to your face which will irritate the face.
Run From These Products Not Good For Your Face
Products To Avoid
To maintain a beautiful face there are some products you should avoid, as these products contributes to the symptoms getting worst.
Dry skin
Avoid products with alcohols as alcohol makes the skin dry by pulling moisture from the skin. Products that contain artificial fragrances or colours will cause more dryness which is not good. Also avoid rough washcloths as it will crack the skin which can lead to blisters.
Oily Skin
People who suffer from oily skin should avoid make-up as it helps to clog the pores. This will leave pimples which can cause serious acne problems. Products that contain artificial fragrances should be avoided as these products helps to make the skin oily. Avoid products that carries added moisturizers, these products will make the face too oily which is not good for the skin. The face won’t be able to breathe.
 Sensitive Facial Skin
For sensitive skin you must be very careful with the products you use on your face as this skin type is very sensitive to most products. You should avoid synthetic fragrance as these products are very strong which will cause the face to be irritated. Products that contain alcohol will make the skin become harsh and dry.

 Neutrogena
I have dry, dehydrated, aging skin and live in a dry climate (Los Angeles). So, I need a lot of moisture and am always on the lookout for great products. I liked this Hydro Boost gel-cream. I put this on clean, wet skin. I appreciate that I can purchase it easily at drugstores, Target, etc. I do prefer hyaluronic acid products that are liquid serums. They seem to layer better, especially if I am using other serums, sunscreen, and makeup. This gel-cream can feel a little thick but it's a small thing and more of a preference. Overall this is still a good product and would purchase again if needed (n.d.), para 1).

Clinique
I enjoy using this as a serum and first step in my nightly skincare routine. This is also great as a primer and final step in the AM. I call this my “final step” moisturizer or my first step. It adds extra oil that seals everything in or a starter to get lipids in the skin. It’s a sealing moisturizer basically. This is also great for anyone who doesn’t like the heavy feel. It’s lightweight, love the packaging which is very cute. This is good for anyone who wants a have a light feel. But beware it does look greasy due to the sesame oil in it. Make sure to always apply to cleansed skin, and you won’t have an issue. Since putting this in my routine my skin looks great. I do love my Clinique and it’s more concentrated in oils, if your lipid barrier needs help. My skin looks clear and it’s awesome. Clinique is generally good when it comes to moisturizing (n.d.), para 1).

Cetaphil
This is a lovely moisturizer. It's hydrating without being oily and it calms my face when I've been overdoing it with exfoliators or the wrong products. It's lovely under makeup - foundation looks great over it and there is minimal oil breakthrough on my dehydrated combination skin. I have fussy skin that reacts to many skincare products by either breaking out in big cystic pimples or by going red and flaky, but the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream never breaks me out or irritates my skin. When I use this at night I wake up with smooth, healthy-looking skin. It doesn't have fancy ingredients, it's just a straight-forward, uncomplicated moisturizer that works (n.d.), para 1).
